  1. Time to f*** up some rookie pitching.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:16 PM) '04 - 94.2 IP, 157 K , 1.90 ERA, 0.91 WHIP Filthy. Racking up most of those numbers against a terrible division IMO.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) Nice to see Vazquez hold on to the ball. I hope Garland was taking notes. Minus a couple innings vs the Jays, he looks awesome so far this year. KW looking like a genious again.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:13 PM) It's easy to say now that Contreras re-signed. Haven't been a fan of his even before his godawful postseason.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:11 PM) If we weren't going to be able re-sign Contreras, then I still wouldn't have had a problem with Contreras for Lidge and a pitching prospect. Maybe the best thing for Lidge would be to get out of Houston. PASS!!
  6. I love getting in, turning the tv on to see a 4-0 lead and within 5 seconds a 5-0 lead.
  7. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:05 PM) From MLB.com's Gameday: LF Podsednik 2B Iguchi DH Thome 1B Konerko RF Dye C Pierzynski 3B Crede SS Uribe CF Anderson ------------ SP Vazquez This should have been yesterday's lineup while today should have been the Sunday squad. I need to learn to let things go.
  8. QUOTE(Wanne @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 06:21 PM) That actually poses a good question. If you could sit down with one Sox player or coach, shoot the s*** for a few hours and have a couple of beers...who would it be? Can anyone say new poll?
  9. Interesting stat: Juan Uribe is 2 for 6 when facing Pineiro and there is a runner on 3rd in the 8th inning, during nights games.
  10. Since I usually dwell on the negative I also have to mention that seeing corpseball return was maddening. After about the 6th inning, seemed like most of our batters were swinging for the fences. Would have been nice to use the large park to our advantage and try to slap a few singles and gappers around.
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:10 PM) I watch both games when they are on. What is wrong with that? Did you catch last night's game? I got so annoyed after Jones HRd. The fans were acting as if they had just won the World Series, hugging each other and going crazy. They beat the AAA Marlins....yippee.
  12. QUOTE(sti3 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 12:10 PM) I have been duly chastened. I blame BigSqwert for feeding me that stat yesterday. Eat my shorts.
  13. To stay positive, I think Ozuna had a nice game overall.
  14. QUOTE(SoxPride56 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:51 AM) "Win or Die trying", Uribe didnt DIE trying tonight. I can't blame Uribe on the loss. I think it was one of Ozzie's worst managed games this year. From the lineup choice to his handling of pitchers. The offense was very non-clutch as well for the most part.
  15. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 09:36 AM) -- I am amazed at how many people I still see, particularly in the 'burbs, who troll around in giant SUV's all by themselves to get groceries. I'd be embarrassed. I mean, does North Shore soccer mom really need a full size Ford Excursion with a brush guard and fog lamps on the front, just to get around Winnetka? Hey, buy whatever car/truck/SUV you want, but you look like a fool. As long as she has a 'Support the Troops' sticker on the back I'm cool with it.
  16. Great way to start our yearly pathetic west coast trip.
  17. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 12:11 AM) Walk a .214 hitter for a .274 one? Oh well, I guess Reed has more power. More c hances for a force out with man on 1st and 2nd.
