  1. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 10, 2006 -> 01:59 PM) But your response was to a posting about going to Church. In any case, same question. Do all people who do not believe in God, or not believe in your particular vision of God, belong in the "s***ter"? Do you actually believe that making American better or stronger necessitates a belief in a specific God? If we want America to be better, maybe we should focus on actually fixing the problems that exist, instead of hitching our fortunes to one particular guiding force in some people's lives. Especially since this country is supposed to be a secular state, protecting the freedoms of all believers and non-believers. Let's focus on the problems at hand, and not fall into the intellectual laziness that is mass-cultural stereotyping and categorization.
  2. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jan 9, 2006 -> 12:27 PM) My Top 5 Worst movies of 2005 are: 1. Wolf Creek 2. Yours, Mine & Ours 3. Transporter 2 4. Brokeback Mountain 5. Memoirs of a Geisha (my mom made me see it with her for her birthday) Did you actually see all of these or is list this from a website?
  3. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 03:24 PM) I think the Panthers will win. They'll be better prepared this time in Chicago. So do I but what do we know? We're AFC West guys.
  4. You guys really thing the Panthers are going to lay another egg against the Bears? The Bears offense better show up. I think the Bears matched up better against the Giants or Bucs (young QBs).
  5. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 03:03 PM) Settle down, Oregon and Iowa have minorities too as much as you may think only corn and beans are in Iowa which must mean there are only white farmers. I know. I'm just giving you guys a hard time.

Hostel is definitely a rental. Took forever before any gore...at least 45 minutes into the movie and there wasn't enough for me. As soon as the movie started picking up it seemed like it was already over. Saying that, I still found it somewhat entertaining.
  7. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 02:46 PM) So have I. That's getting more common than racism I think. Wow. Leave to a couple guys in Oregon and Iowa to make claims of severe reverse racism. The poor white race. We have it so bad. Boo hoo
  8. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 02:40 PM) One of my biggest pet peeves is how some black people think their actions are above reproach due to their skin color. One of my biggest pet peeves is how some white know-it-all thinks they can deal with race issues when the chances are they have never in their life experienced racism on any level that a black person does on a daily basis.
  9. Anyone know how long the pre-order price will be available before they sell for regular price? Is it up until the item is available? And do they charge your card immediately or when the item ships?
  10. My friend left me a voicemail last night that he heard Bruce Levine mention a possible deal for Abreu. Something like Contreras and Dye and a prospect. I haven't seen this anywhere or heard it on the radio. Is my friend pulling my leg?
  11. (In best Hawk voice) DaSoz555 and DMuse........YES!
  12. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) Taxes were cut across the board. Not just for the wealthy. Last I checked the citizens of New Orleans were Americans. That makes them taxpayers too.
  13. QUOTE(vandy125 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 03:25 PM) Just saying that there are a lot of people who have donated a lot of money to his campaigns. There are also a ton of people involved in getting him to the position that he is in. According to this Washington Post article, there are 474 members of the "transition team." http://www.commondreams.org/cgi-bin/print....s01/0117-02.htm Touche!
  14. Wow vandy! All those people were part of the Bush Transitional team? Must have been a big team.
  15. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 03:06 PM) But you do convey a "feeling" from peoples post, and then stand by it just after you posted the above. I see the logic now. :banghead You should run for congress. I was referring to you stating that I snapped. I didn't snap. This is getting ridiculous now.
  16. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 03:02 PM) Maybe then you should can the "I just got back from San Antonio where my daughter lives. I didn't get such a blatantly racist vibe that I am getting from this thread. " It reads a bit like you are conveying feeling from others. I stand by that opinion.
  17. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 02:56 PM) You snap because Wood makes a statement. I post an article that states that what he has seen is not something he just made up. And now you jump to a crazy conclusion. No not everyone is misusing the funds, but people are. You keep up the extremist, its either one way or another. If you say Katrina victims are misusing funds, its because you are racist. I get it. Unfortunately posting on a message board doesn't convey feeling. I did not 'snap'. I am not shaking with anger. Just providing my viewpoints and opinions. I respect yours. I hope you respect mine.
  18. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 02:50 PM) Maybe its not made up Well I guess I stand corrected. 100% of the Katrina victims used thier money at strip clubs.
  19. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 02:50 PM) Why dont you take a trip to San Antonio or Atlanta. I want you to ask around about what THEY think about the people from New Orleans. You will see for yourself that it is not just us "silver spoon" individuals who have this view. I just got back from San Antonio where my daughter lives. I didn't get such a blatantly racist vibe that I am getting from this thread.
  20. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) The prosecution rests your honor. See my previous post.
  21. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 02:43 PM) The fact is that people who received these $2,000 cards ARE using them to buy things that are not needed. I have friends from college that live in Atlanta, they saw a high influx of people from NO. One of my friends who works as a store manager for Guess would see the NO people buying louis vuitton purses and other HIGH priced items. Is this what they should be spending the TAX PAYERS money on?? It's probably not a good idea to make blanket statements about an entire race of people. Question the individual not the race.
  22. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 02:35 PM) Maybe it sounded racist to you but its grounded in fact. I was watching CNBC yesterday and on Mad Money Cramer even dressed up in a hip hop getup and said to load up the truck on these outfits selling bling bling outfits and gear. Why? Because they are reporting blowout sales and earnings and a big reason is Katrina money. Nice try. Nice try?? You stated that they are probably using FEMA money to buy bling and other foolishness. Now you are stating that this is a fact. Which one is it. Do you make things up as you go along?
  23. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) Yea, you are. Because it's f***ing ignorant. Have you ever heard the parable, give the man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, he feeds himself for a lifetime? These people want fed for a day, and that's my problem with them. White, black, purple, yellow, glow-in-the-dark, it doesn't matter. For you to insinutate I'm (or people like me are) racist is absolutely f***ing ignorant. Um Hello!! Who is insinuating? NUKE just made a blatant racist comment and I pointed it out. No grey area there my friend.
  24. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) All the while they're probably taking their free money from FEMA and spending it on bling bling or some other foolishness. And I am questioned for calling some people on this board as racist. Unreal. So since you're Polish I guess you don't spend your money on deodorant.
  25. QUOTE(vandy125 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 12:47 PM) Do you remember who you had a meeting with four years ago? I have trouble remembering meetings from a few months back. I remember everyone I had a meeting with that also happened to donate over $100,000 to me and was on my Presedential Transition Team. Better chance that I'd remember that person if they were a friend to my advisor Karl Rove.
