  1. Overall a very good video. I was teary-eyed at moments and it really sank in what the team accomplished. Also was glad to see parade footage at the end. That was an incredible event.
  2. They kept showing commercials for the dvd, saying that is available now at Best Buy. I thought it would be available this upcoming Tuesday??
  3. This is great. Now I won't need to take 2 vacation days that week....only 1 for the ring ceremony for game 2.
  4. Levine to be on in a few minutes.
  5. Dan Patrick on Silvy and Carmen. Said he wouldn't do the Thome proposed deal if he were the Sox.
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 11:12 AM) Is that official? That's a ridiculous contract. Perhaps a 12 year contract?
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 10:20 AM) The title of this thread should probably be changed. Hey...I used several question marks.
  8. Apparently Levine will be on Carmen and Silvy to talk about the potential deal.
  9. My friend just IM'd me at work saying that Bruce Levine reported a potential trade of Rowand and either Contreras or Bmac for Thome. Did anyone else here this? Please say it ain't so. That would be an awful trade. If it's true, why would we get rid of pitching and defense (the reason we won it all) for a slugger? Trying to get back to the 2nd place formula of 2001-2004?
  10. QUOTE(rangercal @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) For the right price, I would love this Right price? I wouldn't sign him for the league minimum. He's done. Might as well resign Crazy Carl.
  11. Is the parade archived on any of the local news websites? I haven't seen it anywhere.
  12. I'd thank the Twins organization a whole lot for proving the blueprint for our team this year. I'm still surprised that the Twins weren't able to pull it off a couple years ago when they still had David Ortiz and a killer pitching staff. EDIT: Hey Admins, turn back the clock 1 hour.
  13. QUOTE(brink1 @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 07:51 AM) Individually, the 2005 Sox are one of the worst teams to ever win a world series. We have no .300 hitter. No above average player 1-9 except Konerko. Great starting pitching though. Playing as a team, we beat a Red Sox team with no starting pitching. An Angels team with no Bartolo Colon, (thank God for the dropped 3rd strike win, and no ump seeing Steve Finley's bat hit AJ's glove.) And then come the Astros who were once 15 games under .500 this year. And their Ace (Rodger Clemens), much like the Angels ace gets hurt. In a year where there were no Great teams, the White Sox managed to survive and win it by playing good team ball. No doubt it was our year. I can tell you're ecstatic.
  14. QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 22, 2005 -> 01:00 PM) Thank you Tim McCarver. :rolly LOL That was very much a McCarverism attempt. Glad someone caught it.
  15. I think if somehow we score more runs than Houston, we will win this game.
  16. I got tickets!!! Game 6 & 7. Beggars can't be chosers. My season tickets for next year are in section 542, row 5.
  17. Send it to your Cubbie friends.
  18. My sis called. They apparently are still working the list.
  19. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 21, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) When/where in Texas? I PM'd you last night. Didn't get it? Anyway, been talking to Kapkomet. The 3 of us should meet up...try to get tickets. I will be working in Corsicana (Hour south of Dallas) Wednesday through Friday. Would be willing to drive to Houston for game 4 and/or 5. Still trying to get a hold of affordable tickets. SRO would suffice.
  20. I would definitely go if I weren't in Texas next week.
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 21, 2005 -> 12:08 PM) Did you order before the cutoff? We ordered a pair very early Tuesday. I highly doubt they'll call us.
  22. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Oct 21, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) 10 mins till noon....did they increase the time window or is it still set at noon? I hope it's extended...no call yet.
  23. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 03:22 PM) i doubt ANYONE will know the answer to this. or if they do, they won't say it. The brokers will be the first to know. They have ticketmaster on their payroll.
