  1. QUOTE(Frank the Tank 35 @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) Why can't we play Anderson in the outfield and sit Perez? He seemed to swing a fat stick in the Minnesota game. He couldn't possibly do worse than Timo. Because Anderson is not perfoming fellatio on Ozzie.
  2. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) I know tomorrow I'll be bored to sleep. The game will be over before my seat is even warm. The Yankees could have Bernie Willaims pitch tomorrow and we would struggle to get one run.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 02:11 PM) How are the fans at the game not booing like crazy? I don't know but I mentioned last weekend that I had no interest in going to the Wednesday game (Buehrle vs Santana) and I was right. What a s***ty game that was. I have no interest in going to any more games right now. They absolutely suck at home.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 02:10 PM) Crede's best chance of getting on base is getting hit by a pitch. He can't even do that right. (Oakland game)
  5. This is the last game I watch/listen to until they go on a 3 game winning streak. That might be a while. Guess I'll spend my time preparing for my fantasy football draft.
  6. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 09:48 AM) Perez, LF Iguchi, 2B Everett, DH AJ, C Rowand, CF Dye, RF Crede, 3B Blum, 1B Uribe, SS El Duque Now that's what I call an intimidating lineup.
  7. If we completely collapse and don't even make it to the playoffs we could finally have that big disastrous event that has the nation feel really sorry for us like the 69 Cubs or the curse of the Gambino. We'll become beloved nationally! :banghead
  8. QUOTE(rangercal @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 01:34 AM) all those Frank Bashers won't point out how our offense has been without him. Luckily we were able to replace his bat with a great pickup at the trade deadline....oh wait we didn't.
  9. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 11:43 PM) ROSS GLOAD IS HITTING .366 AND WAS 3-5 WITH 5 RBIS AND A DONG LAST NIGHT. YET TIMO LIVES ON. Ozzie and Kenny are complete idiots for keeping Timo on this team while Ross has been tearing the cover off the ball all year in AAA. I have lost a lot of respect for these guys for allowing this to go on for so long.
  10. 2 runs scored in the last 27 innings.....pathetic.
  11. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 03:17 AM) Sorry but kidding right I thought that was obvious. Something Hawk would say.
  12. I've never been the biggest Hawk fan but I have noticed that when things are going OK he is bearable to listen to. When things are not he is as unbearable as they get. But that's just my opinion.
  13. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) The most painful is when he was comparing the boston offensive players and how he would basically take every hitter on our team over their except for ortiz and manny. Their worst hitter would be our superstar. He probably couldn't find a place for Damon to play either? Where would he play??
  14. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) The most painful is when he was comparing the boston offensive players and how he would basically take every hitter on our team over their except for ortiz and manny. Their worst hitter would be our superstar. No he didn't?!? The man is on crack I'm telling you.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 10:56 PM) Normally, that is true. But Hawk has become like a senile grandma right now who only cheers for her kid (even though she's naive to the fact that maybe he's not the best player), and blames the umpire for every close call that doesn't go their way. Amen. I find it painful to listen to him these days.
  16. I know we had about a 5% chance of getting him and it wouldn't help our hitting but damn AJ Burnett is on fire! 7 straight wins. Another shutout tonight against the Dodgers with 9Ks and 1 BB.
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 10:47 PM) The thing that is driving me crazy now is how KW and Ozzie stressed that Frank was going to be the midseason addition the sox needed, and they were right, he did help the offense, but now he's f***ing gone!! Hello!?!?!? Did you forget about Geoff Blum already?? Sheesh. Great sig btw.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 10:45 PM) Look at their career numbers, and you could have never expected this type of season from all of them. Of course, Rowand and especially Uribe have put up disappointing seasons this year. The 2 guys from our team who are mentioned the most when the steroid conversation comes up.
  19. QUOTE(daa84 @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 10:42 PM) sorry for the lengthy post You better be...jerk.
  20. Looking at the schedule. Lot of games vs Twins and Tribe. And I know the Twins aren't scared of us.
  21. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 10:34 PM) f*** this f***ing offense, what the hell. Carl Everett has no f***ing clue how to hit a f***ing ball He's better than Ken Griffey Jr.
  22. Lets face it. Ozzieball...smartball...whatever you want to call it. What a farse. This team does nothing smart offensively. They relied on 1 guy to get on base and try to disrupt things. Without him they do absolutley nothing that I would consider smartball.
  23. QUOTE(SouthSidePride05 @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 10:24 PM) Of course that won't happen.. but .. can you imagine! Seems more feasible as each day goes by.
  24. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 10:23 PM) This is so much more than Podsednik. Will Podsednik make our left side of the infield get a hit? Will Podsednik get Dye's head out of his ass? Will Podsednik allow Rowand to hit right handed pitching? Will Podsednik help our defense from costly mishaps? Will Podsednik allow Ozzie to get a better handle on when to pull starting pitchers? Will Podsednik help our starting pitcher avoid the big inning? Of course. Podsednik was able to do all those things before he went on the DL.
  25. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 10:22 PM) september 1st from what im hearing Cool. We should be able to hold onto a 5 game lead over Cleveland by that date.
