  1. Cotts should have started the 7th and Marte should have faced Ortiz in the 8th. Oh well. Hopefully we get to Wakefield early tomorrow. BTW, kinda scary to see Mark look so bad against a potential playoff opponent. He's not so good against the As either.
  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) Man. Come to think about it, Viz hasn't pitched in a long long time. That's good...especially since he is most effective when he pitches often.
  3. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 08:12 PM) Why is Buehrle still in there??? Because he is fooling everyone tonight. They are not hitting him hard.
  4. So good pitching is better than good hitting? Not today.
  5. I just don't feel comfortable with less than a 5 run lead against these guys.
  6. QUOTE(sti3 @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 12:54 PM) Hmm, I like Konerko and I didn't laugh at Gary the Cougar. Coincidence? Go play with your kitten.
  7. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) I giggle like a school girl every single time I look at your sig. You calling my sig larbage or something?
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) Timo Ozuna Timo Widger Timo Rowand Blum Crede Uribe Awesome! I'm sure Timo will come through with so many opportunities to bat today.
  9. Guess it's too early to find out the lineups huh?
  10. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 08:46 PM) Homosexuality is normal, although it is not normative. Longshot's noting of lefties and redheads demonstrates the problem with your 50%=normal threshold, as would genius-level IQ, being very tall or very short, etc. All of those traits may fall out toward the edges of theor respective attribute bell curves, but they are nonetheless traits that can be readily encountered within the population at large. As for religion, some condemn hemosexuality while others do not. There is certainly no hard and fast rule to affirm that homosexuality is a sin according to all religions. This week in Orlando, one of the largest Lutheran conventions is going to be busy debating whether gay churchmembers should be ordained. Hopefully the vote goes that way if it comes to a vote. Your comment about slave ownership is instructive here. Owning slaves was something that was considered acceptable 200 years ago but today we can clearly see it is unjust and immoral. Hopefully it will not be too many generations from now when the majority of people see that condemnation of others based on sexuality is similarly unjust.
  11. Welcome aboard! One thing tho.....lets not worry so much about the Cubs and their fans. This is a magical year for the Sox.
  12. Josh, your previous avatar was much better. Guess I'm a bigger fan of Alba. This chick looks creepy....in the avatar at least.
  13. QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 09:58 AM) What is the Red Eye? Kind of like a People Magazine version of the Tribune.
  14. I say 103 based on our AL Central-heavy Septmeber schedule.
  15. QUOTE(Ozzie Montana @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 08:38 AM) You guys pulled up some pretty incredible stats. Steff is singular...not plural.
  16. As long as we keep it up. I really like our matchups going into Fenway.
  17. I will be there. Look for me...I'll be wearing a cape and a thong.
  18. Alright boys! Lets have a great day off!! You earned it. Pods, you get your legs massaged. Crede, trim those chops a little more. Iguchi, keep doing whatever you are doing. Aarow, same as Iguchi. Paulie, practice running with Carl Lewis. Marte, go see an Optometrist. Timo, go rub Ozzie's neck and shoulders...and go rub Dustin's back afterwards. RIP EMM!!!
  19. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 06:31 PM) The only real team I could see going after him is the White Sox, so it would only make sense if they just let him clear waivers and try to work out a trade instead of just claiming all of his contract. According to a good friend of mine...who happens to be a die-hard Cards fan, says the Cards are interested in him because of their injuries to Sanders and Walker.
  20. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 02:55 PM) Cotts should stay in to finish the job. Agreed.
  21. Any chance he scores from 3rd w/less than 2 out?
  22. Now I know why some of you questioned why we didn't bunt a guy over in the 2nd inning.
