QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 10:15 AM) I was losing it through the entirety of Parks & Rec last night. Sunny was just ok. Same old s***, really. I'm close to dropping Community and The Office. I just don't care about those anymore. Frank Reynolds' busted up face had me rolling the whole time. I wish they would have incorporated a scene towards the end where his nose started uncontrollably blleding while he was emceeing on stage. We caught Whitney last night. Painful.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 09:07 AM) That run game can keep Brady off the field I agree with that but the Raider secondary is already banged up. This could be a blood bath.
  3. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 03:40 PM) Get the Galaxy and call it a day. Then again, I think they're also supposed to get the S2, so I might just wait for that. I could be wrong on that though. No you're right. Wait for the GS2. I have Sprint's version and it's insane.
  4. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 11:00 AM) Why so? Because it doesn't work with Apple accessories.
  5. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 07:20 PM) I have prizes for the top 3 finishers. But what if they don't want sext messages from you?
  6. You guys should stop using the Netscape browser. It's outdated.
  7. If only they could do a 3 man booth with Wimpy. I'd be very happy.
  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 01:44 PM) I see what you guys are saying, I just think it isn't the smart way to widdle down your pool. I don't disagree.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 01:42 PM) I like the specificity of my 375 applications better. That number seems too unrealistic. It's all round numbers these days.
  10. Don't love him but I could see why they'd want to keep him around. The average fan loves him.
  11. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 01:37 PM) In that case, for the reasons I mentioned, they really are stupid. It also means that those companies have no confidence in their own recruiting and screening personnel and procedures to hire a good candidate. I'm trying to play devil's advocate here. You get 500 resumes for 1 position to fill. 300 of the resumes are from people that are currently working, making their current employer more efficient and profitable...adding value. 200 resumes are from people who haven't worked in 2 years. How sharp are they after that time off? What skills have they learned during that time? Not saying this is what they're thinking or that it's right but I bet it's part of their thought process.
  12. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 01:37 PM) Rock who is AA you are referring to? Alan Alda
  13. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 01:33 PM) I wondered the same thing, and I honestly can't figure it out. Maybe someone can illustrate for me why the policy makes any sense. I just assumed that employers considered the unemployed as the bottom of the barrel.
  14. QUOTE (scenario @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 11:59 AM) You don't get promoted in the Cleveland system unless you're onboard with a sabermetric approach. Good to know.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 27, 2011 -> 10:16 PM) Everything about Tosh tonight was great except the Web Redemption which was terrible. ^This
  16. Just wanted to add a "Good riddance!" to Greg Walker. Seemed like a nice guy but he wasn't very good at his job.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 10:37 AM) I still can't get over he did it the night before Buehrle's potential last game. Money is #1 in Ozzie's book.
  18. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 10:26 AM) guillen was not shown the door he left and quit on his team two with two games left. he cut a deal with Florida and strong armed JR his "father figure"to let him go. guilles at the end of the day was all about money and left the White Sox the same way he did in the late 90's like some spoiled ass child that thinks everyone owes him something The fact that nobody even cares to bring this up in teh medai shows that it was time for him to go and nobody really cares I love this post. Too bad greg will completely ignore it. He hates facts.
  19. Hopefully it's not a box of Krispy Kremes.
  20. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 10:07 AM) The Help-Wanted Sign Comes With a Frustrating Asterisk This seems like a pretty terrible trend. I'd imagine there would have to be some way to incentivize businesses away from these sorts of policies. I read somewhere that either a city or state is trying to pass legislation to make this an illegal practice.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 09:58 AM) Where are there reports about his managerial style? Haven't seen anything published. Which one are you referring to? Sandy? If so, that's just my uninformed impression.
