QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 20, 2011 -> 05:45 AM) I have no idea who the hell Amy Schumer is but I thought she was f***in hilarious. My wife and I saw her at Zainie's a few months ago and she killed it.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 06:54 PM) The sticking point is the duplicate housing assistance. They're only offering enough to cover 2 months of our mortgage. There are some other aspects of the relo deal that are quite nice though. I'm trying to have them modify that one sticking point and I should be hearing back from them tomorrow. In the meantime, I'll be having a real estate agent stop by to give us a sense of what we can sell our unit for and whether we might be able to sell it in a reasonable time frame. I really want this to happen so we'll explore every option available to us. Gah! Typing from my phone. Was trying to edit a previous post of mine but wound up quoting myself.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 06:04 PM) You and Marty are the same person, just like Greg and elrockinMT are too. It's really sad that one guy has to log out of one account just to get into a new one to make it look like someone agrees with his s***ty arguments. -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 06:47 PM) Good news, Marko...what does the typical relocation package offer in terms of assistance with your home? A good friend of mine moved from Vegas to Portland and turned his home over to a property management company. It's not ideal, but if it allows you to make such a huge change in your life that you really want to make, perhaps you should look more into that option... QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 03:20 PM) Look here, Swert - this is all I have to say to you - Using the logic of playing rookies to see their contributions for the remainder of the season is like thinking Dunn or Rios will magically appear also. So it's six of one and seven of the other Take that. -

QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 03:13 PM) You do realize, this isn't PS3 baseball this is real time baseball.. And these things matter right? You are taking a small sample size and stating that it would work.. I don't think it will at all. I think Lilly is where he will be for the duration of his MLB playing time, baring and rebuilding team.. as a UTL player. What about a 4 month sample size that showed Adam Dunn was the worst hitter in baseball? Why are you constantly ignoring that fact? Not only was he godawful but he was playing every single day for 4 months straight, in the cleanup position. Somehow this fact isn't important to you, your father Ozzie, and your brother Oney. Continuing to march him out there day in and day out was of utmost importance for some reason as he continued to either strikeout or pop out. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 03:06 PM) If there has been a theme to this thread, it is that you ask a lot of questions and answer none of them. If the numbers refute you, you just ignore them... Much like Ozzie. Wait a minute... -

QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 03:03 PM) So you don't have an answer... Shocking. So in your eyes, addressing a handful of ABs per week for a utility player is more important than addressing a miserably failing cleanup hitter who bats every single day. I see you and Ozzie have similar priorities. No wonder you have posters of him in your bedroom. -

QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 03:00 PM) Then who replaces Lilly, as the UTL man to spill the regulars... And produce as Lilly had all season. Who gives a f***? Isn't it more important that you get the worst hitter in MLB out of the daily starting lineup? Especially when said hitter is also batting cleanup every day? First step is getting rid of the lineup cancer. The highly paid manager would then need to get creative with his utility players and spot start candidates. -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 02:56 PM) Extremely pre-mature but a certain "Federal bureau" gave me a call back. Sweet! Good luck brother.

QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 02:53 PM) If Dunn was alone the problem.. then you have a point. But to say Lilly plays for Dunn.. And poof, everything works out.. Is silly talk. Who is saying that? For the 8945798th time, we are saying play your best available players and see what happens. After 4 months of hitting in the .150s and striking out at a record pace, it was clear Adam Dunn was no longer in the conversation when discussing 'best available players'. -
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 02:51 PM) Congrats Sqwert!! Is your acceptance lingering on the pay and such that they offer? It may be good to move that meeting time to after you accept. Thanks. My acceptance will mostly depend on adjustments to their relo package. As it stands I don't think I can accept the offer. I am confident they will make some adjustments to make this work. Regarding the phone call....the HR rep even offered for me to talk to the director that same evening, knowing I wouldn't have accepted by then. I may just keep it and just briefly touch base. I may even mention that we're trying to iron out the relo package in order to move forward.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 02:20 PM) So Kenny needed ESP to know that Dunn was going to go from one of the most consistent power hitters in MLB history, to historically bad, yet Ozzie shouldn't have benched him after 3-4 months of being historically bad even though he was instructed to do just that. Ow, my head hurts. fixed -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 02:07 PM) Wait, so it's Kenny's fault for signing him due to poor scouting - yet Ozzie's not at fault for playing him every day for over four months because of, as you said, his "track record?" Ha! That makes perfect sense. It's too bad Ozzie couldn't do 4 months of real time scouting to notice that Adam Dunn no longer deserved to get ABs while we were still in the mix for a playoff spot. -

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 01:57 PM) Look at Dunn's track record versus Lillibridge. Dunn was signed because of that track record, if he's on the roster he needs to play. His track record was 4 consecutive months of some of the worst hitting ever seen. -

QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 12:34 PM) so ozzie is stupid for playing them so what about all the other teams? ok so some people say dunn sucks becuase he played for ozzie. but ozzie played him everyday. if ozzie benched him right away wouldnt dunn dislike him? i dont understand My goodness. It's like talking to a 4th grader. He didn't have to bench Dunn right away. He should have benched Dunn in July or at least in August when Kenny finally told him it was ok to do so. Why is this so difficult to understand? -

QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 12:27 PM) i said there has to be something behind it. obviously everyone knows dunn is terrible and should rot on the bench. but he played him for some reason, a reason that isnt that hes so stupid and doesnt know dunn is bad. why? i dont know But you kept implying that what Kenny stated publicly was not true. I don't see how that could be the case given everything we know. If there was a different message behind closed doors, we all know the Guillen family would get it out via twitter or Joe Cowley. -

QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 12:20 PM) no i just started watching this month ... so ozzie just played dunn because he thought he was good? obviously for some reason we dont know Let me put it this way. Given that Ozzie and his son have been very vocal in the past about just about everything, why would they both be silent when you're implying that Kenny is making him play Dunn and Rios even though KW publicly told him not to? you really think these 2 would stay silent? Wouldn't you assume at least Oney would send a tweet out there saying something like "Kenny didn't real mean it when he said to play the best players regardless of salaries. He is trying to make Ozzie look bad." How does Ozzie benefit by not letting it be known that Kenny is lying to the public? -
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 12:12 PM) So you mean the same exact review you'd have given the EVO when you first got it? It blows the EVO out of the water.

QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 12:12 PM) i already said, we dont know what actually goes on behind the scenes. Have you even followed this team at all during the Guillen era? Several people asked whether you truly believe Ozzie or his loud-mouthed son would really be quiet if Kenny said one thing publicly and dictated something else behind closed doors. Your response to that is 'we dont know what actually goes on behind the scenes'? That's about as ignorant and naive as you can get. -

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 12:08 PM) You're saying you don't buy into what they say publicly, but at the same exact time, you're willing to make up an absurdly outlandish scenario that would cause KW to be the bad guy and Guillen to be the victim. Why bother? Certain people can't deal with facts.
