QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 09:08 AM) Well first off, if you watch what happens and the hypothetical that is brought up... this is a guy who has a good-paying job and elected not to pay for health insurance (because apparently this hypothetical person is a moron). Then he gets very sick. That's just an extremely insulting hypothetical in the first place. What percentage of people fit this mold? Less than 1%? People don't pay for health care because they can't afford it. Was Wolf just baiting the audience and the candidates with this ridiculous scenario?

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 07:02 AM) Janikowski!!!! (Where's the Polish flag smiley face?) Yeah that was pretty awesome. And Lechler had a 77 yard punt. The Oakland kicking game is crazy. Now if their offense could learn how to pass. -
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 12, 2011 -> 10:12 PM) Well, I personally think we've had a ton of players have bad years. I think our pitching again has been overrated. The starters were excellent for a long time, however. I think the team has had very very bad hitting (not Ozzie's fault really), the team is very very slow on the basepaths (not Ozzie's fault), the team cannot bunt (Ozzie deserves 80 percent of the blame there), some very poor relief performances when it mattered (not Ozzie's fault). That's a very very good analysis.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 12, 2011 -> 10:11 PM) Ozzie's learning on the job right now. If he goes to the Marlins next year, he will be on the other side of these scores. I don't know what people are thinking wanting him to leave. I guess they like 100 loss seasons. He tells it like it is. -

Patriots with the best offense in the AFC this season. The Ravens and Texans right behind them. -

Other than murdering someone, what will it take for Ozzie Guillen to get fired? -
QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 12, 2011 -> 07:14 PM) Nope it really easy.. 9/11 had zero to do with the occupation of a Middle east country.. Just another old man ranting more than he knows about. Ah ok. Thanks for clearing all of that up for us.

Did I mention he ceased to exist?

Because he died a long time ago?

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 12, 2011 -> 04:37 PM) One of the movies I walked out of was The Aristocrats. It started off funny, but it began to feel like (and literally was) just hearing the same joke over and over again. I've since watched it on TV, and I think I made the right choice. After about the first 20 minutes, the mime was the only thing that made me laugh again. It's sort of funny that Bob Saget is in it, as the movie was the same as his standup. He's funny the first time you see him because "Hey, Danny Tanner is cursing." Then, it's just the same thing over and over again with perhaps a slight variation. I know I shouldn't have expected anything else from the movie, as it is a movie about one particular joke, but it was like listening to a person who's kinda funny but tries way too hard. I wound up watching it on my laptop on a 6am flight to Denver. It was probably because I was so tired that I got all slap happy and laughed throughout most of it. I couldn't imagine watching it again though. And of course expectations play a big part in the movie going experience. I popped it in with zero expectations. Had I heard a lot of good things I may have been more of a prude about it and sneered as I watched.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 12, 2011 -> 04:28 PM) Let's just hope Quentin and Peavy don't murder their wives. Hey now. He's still looking for the real killer(s).
-
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 12, 2011 -> 04:21 PM) He's not injury prone. All of the injuries are "freak" injuries. It's not like he keeps re-injuring the same thing. Remember when people actually used that line of reasoning to claim that Quentin and Peavy aren't injury prone? It's all just bad luck with these two. Sort of like this guy. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 12, 2011 -> 03:56 PM) Ugh. I haven't been paying attention to the standings. That's worse than I thought. We can sweep them and apply the pressure on them. -
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 12, 2011 -> 02:24 PM) Pierre's .342 with runners in scoring position cannot be denied. The guy is a leadoff hitter. How often is he up with RISP? And how did he do in that category in the crucial first 6 weeks? EDIT: 7 RBIs in April, 6 in May. What an impact!

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 12, 2011 -> 02:23 PM) Am I the only person who doesn't really give two s***s about the Rios slam on Saturday? No. Alex Rios doesn't care either. -
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 12, 2011 -> 02:19 PM) 15 hits, 6 walks in 8.1 April innings for Thornton Sqwert. Maybe he's the kind of guy that doesn't recover well from poor defense behind him. Who knows how many of those walks and hits could have been avoided had Pierre played at least average defense in those games.
