  1. Obama will discuss this new bureaucratic department tonight in his speech.
  2. May I ask you to proceed as soon as I step away for lunch?
  3. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Sep 8, 2011 -> 12:06 PM) Duh, you're missing the point. It's the Indians who are fighting for second with the Tigers.
  4. 2nd place? We haven't been eliminated! We can still pull this out! Have faith.
  5. Kindly refrain from barking orders to others.
  6. QUOTE (Papa Tru @ Sep 8, 2011 -> 11:34 AM) You're not getting it.. basically what I got from what he said was that he asked people he knows, where he lives, that aren't Sox fans what they think about Ozzie.. No, I would not believe Greg hit the streets to ask the random people he saw about Ozzie and the White Sox situation.. that would be ridiculous.. People in Lawrence Kansas have no problem with Ozzie Guillen? Wow! How insightful. I am certain they spend a ton of time following his lineups, in-game decisions, and bullpen moves.
  7. Hopefully fans don't boo in 2012. We would have been a 95 win team this year if it weren't for those jerk fans that started booing in May.
  8. Could you imagine the Tea Party's reaction to these candidates?
  9. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 8, 2011 -> 08:46 AM) I feel like that movie has been made a few times already. I can't disagree. I do like the genre though. I'll probably wind up renting it.
  10. Contagion getting some solid reviews.
  11. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 03:30 PM) Guys what is Ozzie supposed to do? It's in Rios's contract that he bat no lower than 5th, this is all on KW, Ozzie doesn't have a choice. There's even a clause in Lillibridge's contract which states he must ride the bench at least 5 days per week when Alex Rios is healthy.
  12. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 03:29 PM) It was the really, really dumb "fast and furious/gunwalker" ATF operation. Some of the right-wing blogs claim that the whole thing was planned to fail from the start so that Obama can take their guns. Ah of course. Now I see why it's obvious that some crazy liberals purposely started wild fires in Texas. It all makes sense now.
  13. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 03:16 PM) Do you deny that certain progressives instituted the gun running scheme that allowed guns to flow into mexico with pretty much zero accountability or tracking? If you deny that it exists, your hat is bigger than Ron Paul's. And once you admit that they royally screwed up there, please let us all know what their motive was. Go check a few blogs and get back to us on that once you stop sucking the all mighty progressive c*ck. The people in charge of that program should be in jail. And sued 9 ways to sunday by anyone who was shot or killed with weapons that they LET go to Mexico. They did it because they thought they were doing the right thing. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and progressives seem to lay an awful lot of bricks down on that road. GMAFB. I honestly am not aware of the particular story you're referring to regarding guns but didn't your beloved party arm Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein in the 80s? This s*** goes both ways.
  14. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 03:03 PM) Good to see that he's still hitting ahead of Dayan and De Aza though. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 03:05 PM) I mean, he's only broken the wrong way on fly balls 700 times this year according to Ozzie...if we demote him in the lineup he might get mad and just run the wrong way on purpose. Starting him and placing him 5th in the lineup is out of the manager's control.
  15. I remember going on my first business trip out of college to Long Island. Our team was planning to visit the Twin Towers that week on Wednesday. We were stuck on the island for a couple of days until the ferries resumed service. We saw the smoke from ground zero as we crossed on the ferry. Wound up driving home back to Chicago.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 08:50 AM) The big "help" would be if they could move Rios's contract. It also frees up another OF spot for one of the kids. At the expense of having a clubhouse in disarray? I'd pass.
  17. The guy has gotten into fist fights with his teammates and has shown disrespect to his manager and fans an several occasions. And now some of you are debating whether we could help us? WTF are you guys smoking? Lets grab Milton Bradley while we're at it.
  18. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 06:34 AM) Just a thought: if 'progressives' had no qualms about selling guns against the law to Mexico that killed lots of people in order to try and bend public opinion to their side of gun control debates, would it be a stretch to think that some forward thinking progressive activist could be setting some fires in Texas to somehow try and make Rick Perry look bad? I would normally say that would require a big tin foil hat, but after the gunwalker scandal and other things, you just never know anymore. Judging by the time you put into your avatar and sig, I'm sure yours is firmly in place.
  19. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 07:16 AM) To combine a couple different ideas from this thread, how about Rios for Zambrano? How much of Rios' contract would the Sox have to eat to get the Cubs to do that? Not that I like Zambrano, but you're stuck with him for one year instead of three, and a worthless pitcher is easier to hide on your roster than a worthless position player. He's arguably the biggest clubhouse cancer in baseball. I say no.
  20. QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 07:21 PM) I have question in regards to this... How does a player get out of slump if he is not in said lineup? Most people would think that after 4 to 5 consecutive awful months that it's time to give up and go to plan B.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 04:23 PM) I smell Best Picture nomination. "Critics agree, Human Centipede 2 will take you on a wild ride! Gene Shalit says 'Human Centipede 2 will make you beg for more'"
  22. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 04:19 PM) We have to see what he can do. LOL I agree. We haven't gotten a good look at what he brings to the table.
