  1. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 07:19 AM) I've avoided Pale Hose Talk about 95% of the time this year...it's to the point this isn't a White Sox message board for me anymore, it's the Slam board for anything BUT baseball. Mostly because the board has become baseball retarded since the year after we won the World Series. ^^^ QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 10:02 PM) Obligatory "this site is going downhill and that's the reason I don't post as much anymore" post.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 04:40 PM) There is no anonymous. I even know what Steve looks like. He looks like a bad offensive baseball player Indeed. I post nude pics of myself all the time in the "I am drunk" thread.

    I think I found a nice rental property if I wind up taking that position in Austin. My goodness!
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 03:16 PM) I'm not annoyed with people debating it, I'm just debating it. Why would you respond if you had a problem with that? Ok. Lets take this outside bucko.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 03:13 PM) Not to mention in what world is it OK for someone in essentially middle management to talk about a persons replacement in another department, in public? I don't think he was asked to confirm whether replacements were being made. Why the hell did you even start this thread if you're annoyed that people are debating it?
  7. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 03:07 PM) That's not really a fair comparison. The guys at the Score aren't going to have a clue what's happening at another radio station. They asked him for his opinion about the struggling Sox offense and if a player that has been tearing up the minors could help. The offense that has been playing directly in front of him for the past 4 months. He said they need to score more runs so obviously he's watched them. He just decided to play dumb and act like he doesn't have a single clue about what's happening with the team other than the guys on the pitching staff. I really find that hard to believe. Exactly. The guy is part of the coaching staff. Is he not involved in coaching staff meetings? I have to believe topics about the offense are brought up quite often in his presence and that he may have some information that most of us are unaware of. That's part of why he's invited to discuss White Sox baseball on the radio.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 02:44 PM) I'm trying to figure out what your platform is here. You are up in arms about his attitude on the radio, and............. Otherwise you have zero point to your posts other than racking up your count. That he acted like an immature douche to a reasonable question regarding his employer.
  9. As all Obama apologists should be.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 01:55 PM) SO you're saying they should fire him for his radio appearance? I don't see where you're going with this.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 01:47 PM) So should the Sox fire him or something? Or do we need to continue to confirm that Coop's day job is a better fit for him than radio? The Sox don't fire anyone. Their manager can call people f**s and humiliate fans with no retribution so why would they fire Don Cooper?
  12. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 01:21 PM) It's an interesting topic, because with the lifestyles these guys now lead, what else are they supposed to rap about. It's their life. I'm sure you can come up with more than just that one topic. Show some creativity.
  13. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 01:05 PM) Loving the new Kanye-Jay-Z track. http://www.thelifefiles.com/2011/07/20/jay...tch-the-throne/ The Onion's review made me laugh.
  14. "I haven't really followed the kid's progress so i can't really comment." "I hear he's been tearing the cover off the ball so maybe we'll see him up here soon. I don't really know to be honest."
  15. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 11:40 AM) If you guys really think that the pitching coach is going to come out and say that the either the Manager or GM are screwing up because they are not adding Viciedo, thats ridiculous. He is employed by the White Sox, arguably KW and Ozzie are his superiors. Last I checked Cooper has no decision making in terms of hitting personnel. Might as well ask Sod Father if he thinks Viciedo should be called up. There's a better way to answer that question besides angrily hanging up.
  16. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 11:38 AM) If I was Cooper Id be pissed too. Don't worry. He always is when he's on the air.
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 11:34 AM) Its an asinine question to ask the pitching coach. Not really. It's not like he wears blinders to work and leaves the dugout whenever the team is batting.
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 11:29 AM) In case anyone was curious, I was hoping someone would reply with "vagina". Soxtalk, on the whole, has greatly disappointed me this morning. LOL. That's the first thought that came to my mind when you originally posted that but I was worried that the mods would get angry, you know with the whole anti-hyperbole and negativity vibe they've been giving off.
  19. Walgreens to add electric vehicle charging stations to 800 U.S. stores
  20. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 10:51 AM) But yeah something needs to change ASAP unless we want to guarantee a 2007-like season and to that end why the f*** has Greg Walker not been fired yet? I mean, dammit... He easily has the longest tenure for hitting coaches in our division. Perhaps they want him to get him some sort of Iron Man award for longevity and keep him here for 30+ years. The Cal Ripken of hitting coaches.
  21. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 10:37 AM) Also, I found this hilarious. Everyone wears blinders in the clubhouse.
