QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 17, 2017 -> 12:16 PM) It's absurd how well this show holds up today, it's still so, so good. I've gone through the series a handful of times already and never get sick of it.

I want to eventually move somewhere where I could plant an avocado tree.

Drug Deaths in America Are Rising Faster Than Ever

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 20, 2017 -> 06:18 AM) In just one year, nearly 1.3 million Americans needed hospital care for opioid-related issues Seems like the war on drugs needs a different focus. -
I wonder if President moron will make a public comment about a clean shaven white guy running over a bunch of Muslims leaving their mosque in London. Doubtful. I'm sure the media won't even call it terrorism.

10 years ago today, Flight of the Conchords premiered on HBO. One of my all time favorite shows. It's on Amazon Prime in case you haven't gotten around to seeing it yet.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 11:52 PM) Just make it so everyone can have access to a firearm. However, if they fit the profile of someone that will use it in a mass shooting, then they have to pay more for the gun. But, they still have access to top of the line guns. Is this sarcasm? -
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 02:03 PM) Come on, tex. You're not really defending a nearly $1T tax cut for the wealthy in the face of letting people suffer and die from lack of health care access, are you? I chalk it up to the water in Texas which includes a 'pull up by your bootstraps' additive.

QUOTE (shipps @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 01:51 PM) I remember over 20 years ago being the passenger in the car that my Uncle was driving (who is now a crack head) when he was pulled over by police. They wrote him a ticket and gave it to him. My uncle then went into his wallet and pulled out a card and handed it to the officer. He looked at the card and told my Uncle to wait a minute and walked back over to the sqaud car. I asked my uncle what was up and he said lets wait and see. The officer came back to the car and handed my uncle the card back and told him to rip up the ticket, he was good. My uncle drove off and handed me the card laughing. It was some sort of official KKK card that he says was given to him by his biker gang. I was a young kid at the time and I remember I kept asking him questions about it because I wanted reassurance that he wasn't a part of the KKK or anything. WTF...that's scary.

Hmm, I wonder why?

The cop who killed Philando Castile was just found not guilty. As a reminder, Philando did not break any laws whatsoever. Was in his car with his fiance and young daughter.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 10:56 AM) I've done pretty much all of them -- and they're great workouts, but they can be a bit rough on the body long term. I could never stick with any beach body routine for the long haul because they get monotonous really quickly. I've settled on mixing it up, simply to keep things interesting. I'll do walking aerobic exercises at home (these are my wife's videos, but they work). I'll do Yoga -- I tend to do the P90X3 Yoga or DDP Yoga. I'll lift weights or do resistance bands. I'll do cardio at my work gym while I watch a movie on my phone. I've found a mix of these things keeps things from getting boring, and it works long term. Agreed. I mix it up with my cycling regimen, a bit of running, and yoga.

Anyone else subscribe to beachbody on demand? I've been doing the T25 workouts with my wife as well as mixing in some yoga a couple times a week. Might jump into the insanity stuff next.

I would invest heavily in Soxtalk infrastructure. Make it compatible with tapatalk and allow twitter embedding on this site.

Remember when Trump said that Clinton would not be able to govern because she'd be under investigation? Good times.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 01:22 PM) We can preach bipartisanship all we want...but from listening to cspan for many days since the election, there are just a lot of Ill-informed people out there who are easily influenced by the news and social media on both sides, those are the ones who go to these websites and listen to radio shows and absorb this bombardment of coverage and the revenge factor will be impossible to resist. It's inevitable. To them, it's like the declaring of WW3. Sounds like you're describing a regular in these parts. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 11:30 AM) What a powerful range of emotions during his last two scenes. She gets stuck in the dust/dirt in the field, and then almost wrecks her car trying to get it out. Then pow, the accident. Yeah that was good stuff. Can't wait for the finale.

I didn't miss a minute of the finals.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 26, 2017 -> 12:46 PM) Is there anyone out there who's company could use an IT Project Manager? A good friend of mine is looking for a new position. He's fantastic at it. We always seem to be hiring for those. Does your friend want to move to the Seattle area?

That was the Warriors' first loss in 61 days. I guess they were due for one eventually.

QUOTE (juddling @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 04:02 PM) It says something for the quality of the show when you know he isn't gonna get caught switching the pills but still on the edge of your seat. The whole Nacho sequence was damn impressive. The actor playing Nacho has been wonderful. (He was also pretty good in Orphan Black too ) I have a feeling the cook they highlighted in the beginning of that scene will be his undoing. I bet he saw Nacho do it. Why else would they devote a few seconds to that nobody?

Also, Lebron was +7 in the 46 minutes he played. Unreal.
