  1. God are they that dumb? How many people recorded the incident. He was literally being yanked out of his seat with brute force, like a rag doll.
  2. Here's another video of the assault. Imagine if this was your dad who was randomly picked to leave the plane. How would you react?
  3. Wasn't this a Sunday night flight? Probably a lot harder to find volunteers when people need to get back home to get to work/school for Monday. They could have also kept increasing the voucher amount until they got 4 volunteers.
  4. And how far is Louisville? Couldn't their 4 employees get driven there in roughly the same amount of time, maybe a bit longer? Or why not have them fly on another airline?
  5. If they were overbooked, why even board the plane? It's a lot harder to get 4 people to volunteer once they're seated on the plane. Completely botched all the way around,
  6. That guy wasn't a volunteer. He is a doctor who stated that he needed to get back to take care of his patients. The problem is that they needed 4 people to give up seats and only one person did. Their "computer" chose random people to be removed with this guy being one of them.
  7. Looks like United really screwed up. They could have paid for their 4 flight crew members to take a limo to Louisville instead of what they'll be paying out in this lawsuit. Link to story EDIT: Post title got snipped. Not sure how to edit that.
  8. QUOTE (The Gooch @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 02:41 PM) That CGI Tiger is ridiculous It was also great to watch a finale where 40% of it was focused on a lame, underdeveloped character and the 2 episode-long relationship she had with someone approximately a season or two ago. How exciting.
  9. Can't believe some of you enjoyed that Walking Dead finale. I'm out. What a horrible show.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 11:14 AM) So jobs planned 2 years before he took office....credit Trump. He's pretty quiet about the layoffs at Boeing and Caterpillar.
  11. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 31, 2017 -> 05:21 PM) Of course I did, the f*** was that? Bizarre that they'd save it for post credits. Beyond that, f***ing hell that was a great finale. Season 2 should be insane. JEMAINE. Full disclosure: I've seen every episode of Flight of the Conchords multiple times, the Bowie episode more times than I can count, so yeah, cool twist. Haha, same here. Loved FOTC. That last scene reminded me of one of those old Superman movies where those 3 villains were trapped in that mirror. Looking forward to season 2. At least we have Hawley's Fargo starting up again soon.
  12. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 26, 2017 -> 12:01 PM) 8 tight, great episodes are infinitely better than 12-15 with filler thrown in to get to that number. Luckily I think this will be the trend going forward. The only episode that could be construed as a dud is #6 but after #7 it works as a lead-in building to the climax that is #7. Also, it's a travesty that Jemaine Clement isn't in literally everything. Hopefully you waited out the end credits of the finale.
  13. I'll be the first to admit that I know very little about politics. Heck, I'm not 100% sure who I've even voted for President over the years. Given that, why don't you all take my political opinions more seriously?
  14. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Mar 29, 2017 -> 12:55 PM) He did. Link The problem is that people like you keep giving him a pass like it's ok. Greg always has an excuse for not being too hard on Trump and giving him the benefit of the doubt, even though Trump has literally done nothing positive or beneficial for the majority of Americans. In fact, most experts agree that this has been one of the most inept White Houses in history so far. Contrast that to his attitude towards Clinton during the campaign, where he would lambast her for not smiling enough or whatever his pet peeve of the day was.
  15. QUOTE (Reddy @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 11:30 AM) ".... needs the Bernie wing - as hardline and uncompromising as they tend to be." Perhaps this point of view comes across in your interactions and these people don't fully believe that you're an ally.
  16. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 26, 2017 -> 10:34 AM) Legion is f***ing incredible. Episode 7 is one of my favorite hours of television I've ever seen, I have no idea how they're making this show, it's unlike anything else that's been made. I like that this season is only 8 eps. Every episode is dense with so much going on with no duds mixed in.
  17. So it turns out that Trump handed Merkel a NATO invoice for $374 billion dollars during her visit. What a despicable conman and an embarrassment to the US.
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 23, 2017 -> 09:53 PM) That's about where it fell apart. After Laura's killer is revealed, it just wasn't that good. I stopped watching shortly after that. It became unwatchable. Switching gears, that silent film scene in Legion this week was one of the coolest scenes I've ever watched on television.
  19. There's a pretty responsive subreddit called photoshoprequest that has worked for me in the past.
  20. 8 weeks? They should be working the next day! EDIT: While we're at it, why isn't the infant working!?!
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 23, 2017 -> 09:07 AM) Actual poll sent out by our White House Has there been a more petty and unprofessional White House in our lifetimes?
  22. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 08:56 AM) They're also finding Latino witnesses for prosecutions unwilling to show up to court because ICE is staking out the courthouses, leading to failed or dropped prosecutions. The system works! A well-oiled political apparatus.
