This isn't terrifying....

I need more straight, white, conservative men to tell me that this escalated racism after the election is way overblown. LINK

Looking forward to checking out the new Tribe Called Quest album when I get home tonight.

Who are the successful and popular Democratic governors these days? Inslee just won his reelection bid here in Washington state but I don't think he has what it takes to be a serious Presidential front runner.

QUOTE (brett05 @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 11:09 AM) That is why we are broken. No. This is why we are broken.

QUOTE (Tony @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 10:08 AM) No you didn't. It's funny how he never provides links or sources. It's always "I heard it on TV" or "I read an article".

It's hard for most folks to be accepting of this result when just about everyone was saying, for the last 18 months, how dangerous it would be to elect this man. This includes the current President, past Presidents, and leadership from both major parties. All of a sudden we are supposed to erase all of those warnings from our minds?

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 09:03 AM) Business is way down for them now that a gun friendly administration is on its way in. Their sales are much better when there is fear. They'll probably have blow out prices now. Now I can get that AR-15 I always wanted! Gotta protect the house you know.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 09:00 AM) good use of the Walsh talking points memo when he attempted to walk that one back, though... what boogeymen will the nra use with Obama and Clinton gone now? Nancy Pelosi and Charles Schumer want to take your guns away? they can't exactly hang that issue on Bernie Sanders, either I thought I saw an article the other day showing stocks for gun manufacturers dipping. Good time to buy!

QUOTE (brett05 @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 08:46 AM) Do you think Joe literally called for violence? And more so he choose to grab an out of date antique weapon to perform such violence? Come on now. Wow. That totally went over your head.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 07:25 AM) A lot of people from Wisconsin and Michigan voted for Drumpf because they live in towns where industry is gone. You know what. A lot of white, educated people voted for him too. People who sit behind desks at cushy jobs, making good money. These aren't people who are hit hard because a steel factory closed and they're not affected by Obamacare since they have the Aetna cadillac plan. These are your friends, neighbor, and relatives. I struggle to see what the had to gain by electing a completely inexperienced person who literally had no policy proposals other than a few vague promises about walls and banning Muslims. This is very bothersome.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 11, 2016 -> 07:16 AM) Why is the KKK so happy Trump won? They've obviously misconstrued his words and intentions. He is very inclusive and loving.

So far he's hired someone who doesn't think smoking causes cancer as his running mate and early word on his cabinet is complete incompetents like Sarah Palin and Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Oh, and a climate change denier to head the EPA. Sounds like we have nothing to worry about.

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 03:21 PM) Words matter people. And I'm not talking about Safe Spaces or whatever else. And when a candidate for the highest position in the land says things like Mexicans are rapists, etc. EVEN if they are taken out of context...it matters. Why? Because for someone who has been in the media spotlight for as long as Mr. Drumpf has, he should know that we live in a sound bite world. We have been TL;DR for a long time now and when you aren't careful with your wording, people hear that and they take it at face value, right or wrong. Children hear them. Adults who don't agree hear them. The groups he is talking about hear them. And they are scared. And whether or not anything comes of it, those words are what has lasted throughout this election. So, to just dismiss it like, oh, well, it probably won't happen, is just naive. EVEN IF IT PROBABLY WON'T HAPPEN! I have never, in my 45 years, seen such a visceral reaction to a candidate winning an election of any kind. From coast to coast, happy or sad. I have never heard of parents having to answer these kinds of questions like, Are we going to be deported? I have never seen or heard people being harassed the day after an election. I have never seen people protest a candidate to this extent after the election. It's ridiculous. And his words started it. Whether he believes them or not...his words started it.

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 01:41 PM) Dude got 52% of the woman vote. More than a woman candidate. Clearly a big chunk of women didn't care about him calling Rosie O'Donnell fat or having some bro-talk with a hot mic. The sexism cry is so overblown. Perhaps you can give me pointers later when my young daughter asks why the President says he can grab women by the p****y.

QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 01:39 PM) This isn't a twisting of words. Drumpf said a number of things during his campaign that were anti-Muslim and anti-Mexican. I can't believe that's even a debate. Mind-boggling to see revisionist history so soon.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 01:31 PM) Pretty much all his words are twisted or people hear what they want to hear. He wants illegal immigrants out that pose a threat to our country. But people hear Muslim or Mexican and assume he means the whole race when it isn't the case. Yup. It's all just a big misunderstanding. When he cheered on folks to beat up colored people protesting at his rallies he was actually cheering on a ball game he was listening to in his earpiece. He's also the biggest feminist I know. Loves the ladies if you know what I mean.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 01:27 PM) But for some reason it a much bigger deal when those worried are minorites. Yeah it's a much bigger deal because their lives can literally be in danger.
