  1. QUOTE (gosoxtim8 @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 09:42 AM) exactly the cubs shouldnt been down 3-1 at all the match up was uneven A majority of casual fans couldn't name more than one or two players on Cleveland's roster heading into the series. Epic World Series matchups include two teams with recognizable players.
  2. QUOTE (Reddy @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 09:40 AM) You mean besides being the greatest World Series AND WS game ever played? (as long as you're looking at it objectively of course) The greatest World Series ever? You kidding me? Most of the games were not even competitive. You're showing your age.
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 09:14 AM) Maddon f***ed up with Lester more than anything else IMO. He should have left Hendricks in. Yeah that made no sense to me. Obviously using Chapman the night before was a terrible idea too.
  4. QUOTE (gosoxtim8 @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 09:04 AM) lot of cubs players will get lot monet espically if couple of players has scott boras and you know how scott and the cubs are not in good terms with one other Seriously dude. Turn on spell check or hire an interpreter.
  5. QUOTE (Reddy @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 09:01 AM) ?? That's called bad luck. The heavens opening up randomly in the 10th f***ing inning of a TIED game 7 of the world series? Come the f*** on. That's the textbook definition. I seriously struggle with the rationale for coming into a die hard Sox site to post things that put the Cubs up on a pedestal. Are you expecting everyone to rally around you and admit that we all secretly love the Cubs too and are equally jazzed to be a part of this moment?
  6. I'm just glad that the national love affair will quickly erode and they'll just be another mega payroll team. Random people across the country will not be automatically rooting for these guys anymore. They've got their title so it's time to move on.
  7. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 08:58 AM) The rain delay stuff is super weird to me. They had the meat of their order up against Shaw on his 2nd inning of work when he was struggling in his first inning, they were going to score no matter what. Anyone could have seen that coming. This. It was inexplicable for Francona to stick with Shaw who obviously has nothing that night.
  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 08:54 AM) We all know this was you Sqwert: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Jz7xhy1cR0 Damn! He got knocked the f*** out!
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 08:47 AM) f*** yes it is bias. You are on a damned White Sox message board. What do you expect? This is supposed to be the one place where we don't get subjected to the fellatio of the Cubs that is pervasive in the rest of the world right now. This is the crap that makes me hate all things Cubs. No, I don't have to like it, or even enjoy it. Get out of here with this BS. There are plenty of Cub fans who would love a White Sox fan to tell them how great they are now, go lecture them.
  10. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 08:29 AM) I am 100% convinced they will be around as long as JR still has a heat beat. BTW, how old is he?
  11. QUOTE (Reddy @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 08:42 AM) For the record, I also didn't say you needed to be happy about it. It's the f***ing whining and pettiness that I find ridiculous. But sure, to each his or her own. I just think it makes Sox fans look bad, personally. We're not allowed to complain or be annoyed on a message board? Give me a break. It's not like we're here sharing stories about getting in Cubs fan's faces and being dicks about it.
  12. Was nice to hear the sports radio guys here in Seattle this morning saying how sick they already are of the Cubs coverage. Said they've jumped shark. The transition to a run of the mill mega payroll ball club, like the Red Sox, has already begun.
  13. Friend: A guy I know who lives by Armitage and Halsted couldn't get to sleep until 5 am Me: Is he having issues with stress? Work, family problems?
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 3, 2016 -> 04:02 AM) Oh my goodness. Nobody here has had a problem with the 8 billion bandwagon blackhawks fans that have emerged since 2010. gmab. Just in case you somehow forgot, this is a diehard White Sox message board. Having you strutting around with your Cubs boner isn't playing well. Maybe you should take your shtick to a Cubs site.
  15. Happy for a handful of friends that have been diehard their entire lives but that's about it. I hope they never win another one in my lifetime.
  16. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 10:01 PM) Sell Jerry so Sox fans can have some real hope! Yes please!
  17. QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 09:52 PM) Nah the game was very winnable. The Indians beat themselves with so many miscues I can't even count. I don't ever remember the 2005 White Sox playing so poorly in the postseason. But that's understandable given their talent deficient lineup. The Cubs "earned it" but against a better AL opponent they lose this series no doubt. But good for them. The poor showing in the bottom of the 9th and the rain delay killed their momentum. QUOTE (gosoxtim8 @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 09:53 PM) if the cubs wanted it more why there begin 3-1 in series where they were favorite to win it I was being sarcastic. The one phony Sox fan in here kept saying that.
  18. QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 09:49 PM) Lol and a weak ground ball. Maybe they should've tried to steal and just have him try to poke a hit into the outfield. You don't understand. There's nothing they could've done to win. The Cubs wanted it more.
  19. They should have propped up a mannequin at the cleanup spot.
  20. A run or two here would be nice. I need to see Chapman blow it in the 9th.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 07:15 PM) Napoli Has tried to pull everything this series. He was brutal.
