  1. QUOTE (shipps @ Sep 2, 2016 -> 10:38 AM) wow that looks unreal sqwert, absolutely gorgeous. Thanks. Pretty epic hike. Probably the best one I've done out here.
  2. Pretty non-eventful compared to last week when I was hanging out here (Sahale Glacier Camp)....
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 2, 2016 -> 09:07 AM) The ad on the site blocked the title and says "Colin Kaepernick to donate $1 to charities that aid communities". Hey, every dollar counts.
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 1, 2016 -> 10:42 PM) Yes. But when Colin and others protest by sitting during the anthem, it's really a direct slap in the face to military men and women. There has been an outpouring of support for him from military personnel.
  5. Colin Kaepernick to donate $1 million to charities that aid communities Yeah Donald Trump and all of the other critics. This piece of s*** needs to go live in another country. SMH
  6. CB Jeremy Lane for Seattle also sat tonight during the anthem. I like it. I hope more players do it so it's not about demonizing one individual and the reason for the protest becomes the focus.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 1, 2016 -> 07:44 PM) Playing the anthem is a tribute to our military. The national anthem is a song for the entire country....all citizens, It is not a military song.
  8. They showed some folks working there, tracing guns, for that Viceland show "Black Market". I was like holy crap, what year is this? 1971?
  9. QUOTE (juddling @ Aug 31, 2016 -> 12:53 PM) Maybe next time Colin wants to talk about the oppressive American government, he should wear something other than a Fidel Castro T shirt..... Weird. Couldn't find a single quote from him mentioning an "oppressive American government".
  10. This is actually trending here in Seattle: #BetterSoxStadiumNames SMH
  11. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 24, 2016 -> 07:26 PM) As bad as this name is, and it is terrible, way too many people here are over reacting. It won't change what happens on the field. Just like if the new name was "Playboy Coliseum", it wouldn't change a thing. Of course it doesn't change what happens on the field but it's pouring salt on the wounds for a completely dejected fanbase and it's embarrassing. It's as if everyone in charge is completely incompetent. How does this even get past the initial question of "How will this fit in with the image of the ball club?" Should have been an immediate pass and look to the next bidder.
  12. Leave it to Taco Burrito King to come up short once again.
  13. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 09:29 AM) David Fincher is in talks to direct the World War Z sequel. The first one was very forgettable. Had almost no link to the source material as far as narrative.
  14. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Aug 9, 2016 -> 02:34 PM) I actually dont think he meant that Clinton should be shot. He is just a poor speaker so his phrasing comes across awkward. I think that he meant that the 2nd amendment people could fight it if she tried to abolish the 2nd amendment through the supreme court. He says that AFTER she picks her judges "there is nothing you can do". And immediately after that he says that 2nd amendment folks on the other hand can do something. I think it's quite clear what he's hinting at.
  15. If you have access to an Amazon Prime account I would check out Transparent, Catastrophe, and Mozart in the Jungle.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Aug 2, 2016 -> 04:47 PM) Here is a DC based film highlighting everything wrong with Rotten Tomatoes: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_dark_knight_rises/ The Dark Knight Rises is arguably the WORST of the trilogy. It's a flat out bad film. Every time you watch it, it gets worse. Yet somehow, that abomination is rated as 87% favorable. That CANNOT happen on accident. There is NO way that many "critics" reviewed that movie THAT favorably outside of a hive mind mentality. So your example is Dark Knight Rises which has a Rotten Tomato score of 87%? Right below that score it shows that the average review is an 8 out of 10 from critics. Off in the right column is shows that the average viewer gives it a 4.3 out of 5, or 90%. So what exactly are you trying to prove besides the fact that you personally disliked the movie? The consensus from viewers aligns very closely to the critics. And for someone who knows how Rotten Tomatoes works, why was your original comment "F*** Rotten Tomatoes!"? What does that even mean since all they are is an aggregator of reviews? They don't review anything at all. Makes it sound like you don't know what you're talking about.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Aug 2, 2016 -> 10:23 AM) These are the same critics that gave that piece of s*** Ghostbusters a near 80%. f*** Rotten Tomatoes. It doesn't sound like you know how RT works. It's not an individual score provided by one critic. It's an aggregate of all reviews available for any given movie. A score of 80 means that 80% of all reviews have a favorable opinion of a movie.
  18. And I don't know how it looked on TV but Duke didn't seem to be fooling anyone and was left out there too long.
  19. Went to the game today and it sucked to see another quality start wasted by this awful bullpen.
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 20, 2016 -> 09:00 AM) Hmmmm. "amazingly well-done" "nerve-racking" "edge of my seat" Should've mentioned that it was orgasmic to get his attention.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 13, 2016 -> 10:02 PM) That was a hell of a start for Mr Robot. Rami Malek is freaking awesome as an actor, and they really opened up a lot of doors for the next season. Hopefully it keeps flying high. So is Elliott in prison or a mental institution?
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 15, 2016 -> 12:36 PM) My point is anybody who is not mentally challenged knows white privilege exists. Of course there are inherent advantages to being born white. The enemy here is the rich white bastard and his offspring who run the country because of their wealth. They are the people they need to admit their white privilege. They are the ones who never hire African Americans. They are the ones who deep down are probably happy when cops rough up African Americans so everything will always be the same. The Black Lives Matter protestors need to march in front of the homes of these 1 percenters. They are the ones who won't admit their privilege. But as usual they go after the little guy. Of course I understand there is white privilege. My answer to that is ... what do you want me to do about it? The protestors aren't going after the rich f***s, so why should I go tell them to admit privilege or educate them? Of course I acknowledge it, but I am not going to acknowledge anything to some angry rude classless mob telling me to admit it. Tell the rich white f***s about it; don't tell me or my friend, the guy who faced all odds with his mother dumping him on abusive grandparents who basically made him a maid and made him pay his own freight even as a young kid. Now he's a millionaire and not so eager to rekindle any kind of relationships with his family. You need to read up on intersectionality.
