QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 09:49 AM) Dude there is no way you could get that from the quotes. He mostly expressed bewilderment at choosing men's butts over women's vaginas and went from there. He didn't say he wanted to just "let dem f**gots die in holes and burn in hell" or anything close to it. Again, its getting to the point where if you don't openly offer to give some dude a blowjob and extol the virtues of homosexuality you're just labeled a bigot. The whole gay rights movement has abandoned tolerance and even acceptance as the goal and gone big for universal endorsement. Why the f*** does he have to comment on it all in the first place? I don't go around offering opinions on hetero sex for no reason.

What, no guess on how many pancake blocks Long has? Sheesh

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 29, 2013 -> 03:09 AM) Only God Forgives might be the 2nd worst movie of the year, barely, behind After Earth. I think this is the third or fourth mainstream Hollywood movie in the last five years or so that uses Bangkok/Thailand as its main backdrop, and none of them have come close to getting it right. Same director who worked with Gosling on DRIVE, which was overrated by some and panned harshly by quite a few others....but Drive was Casablanca or Citizen Kane compared to this one. If you noticed in the other thread, it was the worst movie I'd seen in 2013.

Not a bad time for an intervention.

Loving the smell of roasted garlic in the house.

Watched The Purge last night. Meh. Interesting premise, mediocre execution. Plan to watch Prisoners over the weekend.

I have a 50 gallon drum of Drakkar Noir.

Sunday can't come soon enough. So many meaningful games.

My movie watching has slowed down considerably with a toddler so here's what I've seen this past year, ranked by favorite: Gravity American Hustle Spring Breakers World War Z This is the End Elysium We Are What We Are We're the Millers The Conjuring Only God Forgives Plan to watch Prisoners this weekend so I'd expect that to be in the top 5. EDIT: How the heck did I forget Spring Breakers?

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 27, 2013 -> 09:19 AM) Also that her entire worth as an actress is measured by how hot she is. Hey that wasn't me. I commented on her acting prowess. I just think she's overrated as an actor. The amount of praise she gets doesn't equal her actual abilities IMO.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 27, 2013 -> 09:08 AM) My goodness, you've been in a surly mood lately. Just call me the Grinch.

Again, overrated, not talented and marginally attractive.

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 05:53 PM) What? I guess I should have just said that s***ty ass Cleveland put up 31 against the Bears. Makes about as much sense as the Steelers putting up 38 against the Flynn led Packers. #no_relevance Dude was implying that the Steeler offense put up 38 when they also brought back a pick 6. And probably a bad idea to use week 16 as a good indicator into how well your team will do, especially when your team lost by 90 points in their game.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 04:33 PM) Pittsburgh put 38 on GB in their house and the Bears have a better O. And the Jason Campbell led Browns put 31 on the board against the Bears. A team with Rodgers under center will likely be able to control the clock a bit more than whatever Matt Flynn was trying to do last week. That being said, I still think this game is a toss-up.

Now Amy Adams was fine as hell in that movie.

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 12:57 PM) I loved American Hustle. Jennifer Lawrence is mesmerizing every time she's on screen. Really? She was the worst aspect of the movie. I think she's terribly overrated as an actor. She grated on me whenever she showed up on screen with her awful attempt at a Jersey accent.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 24, 2013 -> 12:31 PM) I think Jay is broken. His mindset is that of a guy trying to protect himself and a guy who is used to playing behind a bad line. He is panicked all the time. He's not David Carr, but I think he's really close to Jeff George. I agree, I think the Bears need to look in a different direction. They should trade their 1st round pick for Ryan Fitzpatrick because he is a veritable stud. I was just looking up Cutler's stats and comparing to George's a week ago or so. Eerily similar.

Good read on this dumb faux outrage by the right. LINK

Saw American Hustle in the theater this weekend and We Are What We Are at home. American Hustle was pretty entertaining although I was expecting a bit more from it. 8 out of 10. We Are What We Are was a beautifully shot horror flick. One of the better horror films I've seen in some time although some people will likely find it a bit slow paced. 7 out of 10.

So someone quickly educate me since I'm not a big NFC North guy. Are all 3 teams still in the hunt for the division crown?
