    What awful shows are you forced to watch because of your significant other or children? Mine is Project Runway. I've been watching it so long with my wife that I actually enjoy it now.
  2. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 11:38 AM) Was listening to the Holmes and Speigel show and they had some advanced stats for QB's from profootballfocus.com. Apparently McCown is the 4th most accurate passer behind Rogers, Rivers and Manning. That's only because he should have had two interceptions against Dallas but their secondary has awful hands.
  3. Yeah eff those guys. It's obvious they have a plethora of better job opportunities and selected bathroom attendant as a career choice. Make that job illegal so those worthless people can become homeless.

  6. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 06:13 PM) This is a pretty stellar argument. I mean, if you can keep Marshall happy and dump Cutler.. s***. I forgot about Gannon... THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING. Some people were arguing that a guy at 34 doesn't suddenly become a good QB. I provided a perfect example of this and you reply with your typical douchiness with no value add whatsoever.
  7. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 03:37 PM) I can see why girls love that Josh Hutcherson though. I envy his jawline.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 02:51 PM) Gannon wasnt lousy, he just never got a shot. He backed up some good QBs before the Raiders gave him a chance. If you can't beat out guys like Elvis Grbac and Steve Bono then I'm not sure you're anything other than lousy.
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 02:46 PM) Trestman got to Oakland in 2001 as QB coach and became offensive coordinator in 2002. Gannon made the Pro Bowl in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002. He became a Pro Bowl quarterback under Jon Gruden, and kept it up for two more years when Trestman was there. Anyway, Gannon was pretty much a lousy QB until the age of 33. McCown is 34 and it's not like he's looked good in a couple of games. He's looked very good in every game he's been in this year.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 02:43 PM) he will be 36 within a few years. Cutler will be 43 in a few years.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 02:37 PM) Brady was a young, up and coming player. McCown is 36. No, he is 34.
  12. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 02:23 PM) Just got back from seeing Hunger Games 2. I loved it. Easily the quickest 2 1/2 hour movie I've ever seen. A couple of things still confuse me about what happened, but I enjoyed it all. Pumped for how it ends. I didn't think any of the guys in that film were very hot.
  13. Rich Gannon was a completely mediocre nobody until he went to Oakland at age 33 and began playing under Trestman. Pre-Trestman, Gannon never had more than 16 TDs (he also had 16 INT that year). Never more than 2300 yards passing. Gannon threw 24, 28, 27, and 26 TDs in his first 4 years with Trestman and became a 4 time pro-bowler and won 2 MVPs. Averaged 3947 yards those 4 seasons too.
  14. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 10:18 AM) QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 05:09 AM) Love it. Can't wait to see more Love that eerie music they play. Originally heard that in 2001 A Space Odyssey. Movie looks promising.

    2013 TV Thread

    QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 11:17 AM) Has anybody been watching American Horror Story this season? So far I think the story has been pretty decent and I like all the characters. One of the best shows on TV, hands down. I can only compare this season to the first since I caught onto the show late and watched season one on netflix and then have been watching season 3 from the start. Season 2 just got put on netflix to stream so I'll be starting that probably once this season is over. I watched the first two seasons. Both of them started out pretty strong but sort of dragged on and lost my interest towards the end. For that reason, I decided to bail on the series.

  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 09:54 AM) Right what an improvement, which is why I would like to see what this system can do with a QB with much more upside. I've seen more than a handful of games with Cutler under center this year and he seemed pretty good at best.
  22. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 09:51 AM) McCown has never had a season with a QB rating over 74.9 So great point. Except in 2013 when it will be over 100.
  23. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 09:31 AM) McCown being smarter with the ball keeps being a big selling point for him, so we should actually look at the decisions he's making, not just the outcomes. Yesterday, he made two really dumb decisions (or bad throws) that thankfully were dropped, but they were still not smart plays on his part. Let's see some evidence that McCown really is smarter with the ball, and that the difference is big enough to make up for the clearly inferior physical talents. Why do you keep focusing on two plays out of 69 snaps on offense? We can all easily find at minimum two poor decisions in each of Cutler's games.
  24. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 09:11 AM) If the Bears could have picked up a yard on two tries last week, they'd be sitting on 8-5 and on top of their division right now even with their horrible defense. They could have easily lost a couple more games earlier in the season when Cutler was starting. They had a couple of nail-biter, come from behind victories with him under center.
