I accidentally caught the first 10 minutes of The Goldbergs. I was very close to jabbing my eyeballs with chopsticks but luckily my wife turned off the TV just in time.
  4. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 07:45 PM) i checked xda but it looks like there's not a reliable method for rooting the HTC one right now? Depends on which variant you have.
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 04:15 PM) Maybe this will allow them to put in some more features. In comparison to some other ROMs (most of which are CM forks), it lacks a lot of the cool features other ROMs have had for a while. For instance, I can't even make my navigation bar transparent or change the height of it in CM. I also can't assign long-press actions to those navigation buttons. AOKP (and ROMs based off it) has had that option for more than a year. They're introducing increased privacy controls. The nightly I'm running already has it. It allows me to block individual permissions in any app. Pretty cool stuff.
  6. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 11:16 AM) Seattle has as many wins as the 5 other NFC playoff teams from last year combined. And are giving up 241 yards and 9.0 points per game. Filthy
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 22, 2013 -> 09:43 PM) Finally, I'll be at the United Center this year to watch Duke play Kansas in men's college basketball and Kentucky play Michigan State. I have to drive a car to the United Center and not take public transportation. Do you think a.) I'll be mugged or b.) my car will be damaged/stolen? I have to stay a while after the game waiting for a friend who works at the UC. Will I be mugged going back to my vehicle? Thank u for all the answers. There is a 100% chance that you will be mugged multiple times.
  8. Mercy! I love watching the Seattle D dominate. -9 yards for the Jax offense in the 1st quarter.
  9. Jax offense cannot do anything against this Seattle defense. Back-to-back 3 and outs for them.
  10. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 21, 2013 -> 07:47 AM) Salt Lake City, Dallas, Houston (sadly is turning liberal, its fate looms), San Antonio, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Anchorage, Phoenix... I think combined those cities have fewer murders every year than Chicago. And they cost less to live (EVIL RICH PEOPLE MAKE THINGS EXPENSIVE GRRRR) in than New York, Boston or Chicago. Portland hugely benefits from the rest of Oregon being so conservative. I mean none of these compare to liberal boomtowns like Gary or Baltimore but one day I'm sure they strive to be as successful as those cities are now. Look at the last presidential election results of those cities. Obama had a majority of votes in most, if not all of those cities. And way to cherry pick cities the fraction of the size of Chicago. Anchorage? LOL
  11. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 21, 2013 -> 05:40 AM) And Detroit once upon time made enough stuff to win a world war. Its over for Chicago the same way its over for Detroit. The best outcome the city could hope for is not being on the ledge of being unincorporated like could very well still happen to Detroit. Its the city listed on my birth certificate, it is home to me, so while it does bring me some joy to see the liberals fail yet again I just wish it couldve been somewhere else. Expecting a return to former glory for Chicago is going to leave you disappointed. The future of the city is basically North Platte NE mixed with Cleveland/Detroit/Milwaukee type rot... whole lotta trains, whole lotta vacancy. So true. If only Chicago were more like one of the many conservative metropolises scattered across the country. Those are all so massive and successful.

So only 1 year has gone by since the pilot? That's crazy. I wouldn't mind making $80M in cash in one year.
  18. One thing I'll say about twitter. You can't give it a try for a few days or weeks. It takes time to build up the people you follow. Once you do that, your feed just gets better and better and worth checking throughout the day. If you're just following a handful of people then your feed is pretty worthless. I'd say you need to follow at least 100 people to keep it interesting. And keep it interesting. Follow some stuff around sports, tv, movies, politics, comedy, news, etc. One thing I love doing is following my feed during big events (sporting events, Oscars, season finale of shows, etc.). It's highly entertaining if you have a great list of people that you follow.
  19. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 04:50 AM) I don't use Twitter because everything you post is much more public. With FB I have more control over who sees what. FYI, It's actually easier to control your privacy on Twitter.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 07:44 PM) Watch the first three seasons, it's pretty hilarious. Then save yourself the time and don't watch further. This. It's so dumb and repetitive right now. But if you like constant cameos of unfunny real NFL players in extremely unlikley and unfunny situations about a 5 person fantasy league then you'll love this show.

Big fan of Boardwalk too. Just wish they cut down the story lines. Seems like there's 2 or 3 too many.
