QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jul 29, 2013 -> 10:16 PM) This season any good? On par with S1 at least? S2 can suck my fat dick. I hated them for that and stopped watching. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jul 29, 2013 -> 10:20 PM) I think this is the best season yet. Some really great acting performances on that show, particularly Peter Sarsgaard. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 03:42 AM) Like Chili, I stopped watching after Season 1 because that finale pissed me off so much. Some people I work with say this season has been great so I may go through it when it gets to Netflix stream. Yeah I'd say this season is the best of the three. Very strong acting performances all around and I agree with Ed about Sarsgaard. He's been magnificent.

Just watched the latest episode of The Killing. Holy cow was that tough to watch.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 29, 2013 -> 07:40 PM) One name that people seem to ignore in the Bio genesis stuff is Bartolo Colon. If they announce suspensions as soon as tomorrow, maybe Oakland gets back in the Peavy sweepstakes. Did someone say Bartolo Colon?!?! Where's Mark Billiards???
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 08:22 AM) This act is so goddamned tired. You don't know a damned thing about the business of MLB.
  6. My favorite North American cities, in no particular order: Vancouver SF Seattle
  7. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 08:33 AM) I suggest the Marko 5000 That model has lousy reviews.
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 08:12 AM) Man, upgraded my cable modem and wireless router last weekend. Holy s***, new world. Can you link to which ones you ordered? I'm looking to upgrade myself.
  9. Just received my Netflix promo code. Can't wait to set it up and watch Netflix in glorious 1080p.
  10. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 06:42 AM) Google Chromecast. Looks sweet. http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-media-rece...7-35823617.html Ordered one yesterday. With the free 3 months of Netflix included, it's just $11 for the device. Plus I'm sure it'll be quicker to load up a Netflix movie than my PS3.
  11. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 12:12 PM) I love his bit about hot pockets as well as his one about fruitcake. His explanation about why we cut down Christmas trees and hang stockings is good too. Sounds like you're referring to his "Beyond the Pale" stand-up. I was at the taping of that. There's a part where they show the audience laughing and it's centered on me. I'll still get calls/texts whenever they air that with people asking me if that was me or not.
  12. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jul 21, 2013 -> 02:10 PM) What if we take all 4 from the tigers? We'd still be one of the worst teams in baseball?
  13. Just got back from seeing Jim Gaffigan. He killed it.
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 20, 2013 -> 11:48 AM) The Moto X is pretty much the size of an iPhone 5, but with a 4.7 inch screen (actual screen size without navigation buttons is ~4.5). The bezels are very minimal. For reference, the iPhone 5 is 4.87 inches in length and 2.31 inches wide. This phone is the same height and about .2 inches wider. It's also supposed to have a replaceable back, which could mean replaceable battery as well. If this comes at a price point similar to the Nexus 4, I'm in. Yeah I'm definitely intrigued as their seems to be more emphasis on user experience over specs. They're also pumping $500M into marketing and releasing it on every carrier. No confirmation yet but this should be stock or near stock so updates could be quick. And yeah, the HTC One arriving so late on Verizon is a joke. The 8/1 date isn't even confirmed.
  15. Congrats to Chisoxfn and Mrs. Chisoxfn!!
  16. Does anyone here have a chromebook? If so, thoughts? I'm realizing all I use on my personal laptop is browser, music player, and basic photo editor/organizer.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 20, 2013 -> 05:21 AM) You're making a mistake. Who's got time for that when Whoddunit is on.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 06:52 PM) http://promotions.newegg.com/sony/13-2875/index.html This is your chance to get a new Sony phone for a reasonable price Sqwert. I'm on Verizon now and I'm pretty sure those are all GMS. Thanks for the head's up though. Seeing that my ETF goes to zero on 8/17 for my current Sprint phone, I'm eyeing the HTC One (potential 8/1 release) and the Moto X (potential 8/24 release). Regarding the latter, I'll first want to see some initial reviews as I already know what to expect with the One.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Jul 16, 2013 -> 03:31 PM) Season premiere of Suits is tonight. Oh yes. Dad, please stop posting in here.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 16, 2013 -> 02:57 PM) This is the End was fantastic, I may go see it again I saw it twice. I rarely do that.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 14, 2013 -> 08:00 PM) More like Officer. Big deal. Is he on the Sanford PD?
  23. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 14, 2013 -> 02:57 PM) No, I wouldn't, as I know the definition of stalking. Seems nobody wants to read an actual statute. Thanks Judge Wapner. I'd venture to guess that 98% of Americans would consider that stalking. Thanks for clearing it up.
  24. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 14, 2013 -> 01:33 PM) Sorry, dude. It's not stalking. If some dude was following your girlfriend around in a car and then on foot, with a loaded gun, you might change your tune.
  25. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jul 14, 2013 -> 12:18 PM) You tell your kid it's an abberation because that's what it is.
