QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 07:17 PM) Hey I don't feel like reading 102 pages of this. I just received a Wii as a belated wedding gift. If I had a preference I would have wanted a 360, but a gift is a gift and I'm still grateful for it. I'm sure there are some fun games for this system, I just have no idea what they are. Wii sports (the game that came with the console) was definitely not fun. In the past I've enjoyed these games: Halo CE for Xbox (not H2 or H3) MVP Baseball 05 for Xbox Goldeneye for N64 MarioKart for N64 Starcraft Broodwar for PC Suggestions for decent Wii games? Dude, if you wanted the 360, I'm looking to trade one for a Wii (or the cash to get a Wii)... so you might be in luck depending on what happens with another possibility.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 04:09 PM) The first states will probably start being called around 5-6 pm CST, give or take when they close (6 or 7 EST). A lot of them will be wide enough to call on exit polling alone (NY, MA, etc.) The key ones though like VA, PA, OH will take a couple hours because if the margin in the exit polling isn't huge they'll wait to see how the initial returns compare to the exit polling data. If the returns show wider victory margins than the exit polling, that's usually a signal that it's ok to call them. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of those called by 8-9 EST. Especially if recent polling in those 3 has been accurate. Florida, on the other hand, could well be a really late one. Ditto Indiana. I'll be up until a winner is declared, no question. -
Pulled out my old "Hellbilly Deluxe" album today. Sometimes you forget how much something kicks ass until you listen to it again. I love that album.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 04:04 PM) McDyess may well be one of those "Buy me out so I can go back to where I want to play, I'm not playing with you" people. According to Denver sources, McDyess is going to play. -
Well, her grandson and family could not have made her prouder. It's too bad she didn't get to see the day, but nonetheless, she had to be proud.

QUOTE (Shadows @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 03:56 PM) What a mistake that is The Wii is cool... if you're 11 I have a 360 and a Wii and if all I had was the Wii ide prolly never play video games. Zelda is great, Mario Kart is fun, all the Wii Sports games are cool.. but if you are saying you wanna sell your 360 so you can get a Wii, mistake Sorry, I have a wife and I'd like to get her involved. Sitting up all night playing NBA 2k9 just doesn't fit into the lifestyle like it would have 3 years ago. If you never play your Wii, perhaps we can discuss a purchase.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 03:54 PM) I may be in the minority here, but I dont see how AI makes the Pistons a better team. Well, they now have a legitimate scorer, but I don't think this deal was done for THIS year. 20 mill off the books this year, 11 the year after... surprisingly, putting them in position to sign two guys in 2010 or Boozer this offseason and another star the year later. -
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 03:17 PM) I don't know why anyone other than a hard core conservative would visit his site. Eh, I'm anything but the above, but during non-election times his site is a pretty entertaining one to visit to get all of the days headlines.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 12:51 PM) There's no way I'd take Grossman over Young, even if Young hasn't really shown the capabilities to be a guy who can pass the ball consistently, he can still open things up with his legs. TWSS -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 11:26 AM) Lol, I dunno. I thought I could get a 360 all set up for under $350, but the more I look into it the more it's looking like it'll be a $500-600 dollar investment - pro system (300), extra controller (40), wireless adapter (90), game (60) and a year of the online membership (50). That's insane to me for a system that's 3 (or 4?) years old and is nearly guaranteed to break on me. Well, if it comes with 2 more years of Warranty through Best Buy (they just hand you the new system, you keep your hard drive), that has to make some sense, right? I have the above listed warranty (1st year's up this month, but two more years on top, and I play the sucker lightly) 360 Pro, the 360 HDMI cable, an extra controller, the wireless charger with an extra battery pack, and Madden 09/NBA 2k9. I think we could figure something out if you're serious. PM me.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 12:12 PM) HAHA, you better find a new girl then. I would say there were more chicks in the theater than guys on Saturday. I think they can handle some raunchy jokes. They may have been there, but I presume they weren't too happy about the decision to see that movie when all was said and done. I'll keep my "girl" thank you very much.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 12:11 PM) It's interesting the examples you pick, because you could certainly make the argument that Collins and Cassel aren't sucking because the teams around them are so good. Hell, with Cassell, it's hard not to think that about a guy who hadn't started since high school. I'm left wondering if Grossman couldn't be a pro-bowler in those slots. Leinart, on the other hand, can't get around Warner, who isn't exactly a spring chicken. Exactly. Plus, at this point, with Vince Young doing what he did, I'd say Collins cannot be considered a "backup" right now. Young is the backup, and on this team, I'll take Grossman over him. Cassel has a Pro Bowl offense around him. Rex would be really good on that team. -

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 12:01 PM) Oh and there's word that the Pistons and Nuggets are about to make a blockbuster trade. Allen Iverson for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyees. Iverson has an ending contract, and I guess Dumars and Curry are serious about getting Stuckey playing time. Does AI play at PG for Detroit though? Yup, I just saw this as well. Great trade for the Pistons, who honestly now can be considered a real contender again. I hope this means Rip shifts to SF, and Stuckey starts at PG, rather than AI playing the point. -

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 31, 2008 -> 09:17 AM) 1. Plasma is superior in that you can see it from a wider angle. If you have a bunch of people watching something, this can be important. Perhaps you are thinking of DLP televisions, but my LCD tv is fully viewable from any angle anytime. Maybe that's because it's Samsung, which I will go to my grave telling anyone who asks to buy nothing but, but I haven't heard of angles mattering with LCD... that's DLP.
