    QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Nov 1, 2008 -> 11:48 PM) Lots of funny lines and scenes, but at it's core, it's a chick flick/date movie. It's like a raunchy Chasing Amy. Dude, I don't see how you could ever describe that movie as a date movie... seriously. It's raunchy as hell, especially one very hilariously sick scene that had the entire theater laughing for about 10 minutes. Yeah, in the end, it's a love story, but that doesn't make it a chick flick. Now onto a review of the movie... it was "ok". Darrell from "The Office" had the funniest lines, whiel the story in whole wasn't taht great. Of course, being Kevin Smith, it had some good one-liners, and some very strong stand-alone scenes. Brandon Routh (Superman) and Justin Long were really funny together, while Seth Rogan played the same character he always has. In the end, it was Kevin Smith trying to rip off a Judd Apatow film casting the actors he uses often. It's enjoyable, and has some laugh-out-loud moments, but in the end is a movie I won't want to see a second time. I don't believe Kevin Smith's story that the MPAA to tried to give this film an NC-17 rating, and unedited he managed to get them to change it to an R rating. There was no reason for it to be rated NC-17. Jason Mewes (Jay of Jay and Silent Bob), is ho-hum in this one as well. That's all I've got. It's NOT a f***ing date movie though. Unless you want your date pissed at you for a few hours afterwards.
  2. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 1, 2008 -> 07:12 PM) The Blazers and Suns are up there too. Wow, those two are nowhere close. The league's top teams are as follows. Hornets Lakers Celtics That's right, the Hornets are the best, and it will be proven.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 09:33 AM) I was at the game, and i think the horrific nature of Rex's throws can really be seen live. He is not a very good QB and we better hope Orton comes back asap. I too was at the game (5th row endzone baby!)... anyway, you really could see how Rex just can't throw over the line, and how far off his passes are from the intended targets. Now, he did spend the last two weeks acting like the opposing team's quarterback rather than his. Let's see what he can do given an entire week of working with the first team. He managed to win the game, and that's all that matters. As far as backup QB's go in the NFL, I'd probably take Rexy over anyone else out there.
  4. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 31, 2008 -> 10:06 AM) So who's got a 360 they want to sell me? Fable 2 looks pretty sweet. Anyone get it? How much are you offering?
  5. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Oct 31, 2008 -> 08:54 AM) Dont lie, you know you love it I do not love it.
  6. With the natural progression of David Price and Evan Longoria, along with a fatter payroll due to exposure/playoff revenue, the Rays are going to be just as good if not better next year. I don't buy that the Yankees will be much better... their major stars are one year older, and it sounds like Sabathia might wind up staying with the Brewers. The Red Sox... also one year older... they need Big Papi to be the MVP type bat to have a shot.
  7. And the random trade threads begin. I believe it's time to open up the trade winds again. I don't want to have to sort through 5 million "Sox should get Crawford" or whatever threads.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 30, 2008 -> 03:16 PM) WTF?!?! I second the "WTF?!?!"
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 30, 2008 -> 10:57 AM) Yeah right, plasma's are superior in cost, black levels, and quick moving shows like sports. For a sports junkie, plasmas are king. I just bought a 50in sammy from amazon a few weeks ago. No tax, free shipping, free set up. Pish. Do a little research and grab an LCD that doesn't suffer from picture blur. Not that hard to find, it's called SAMSUNG. Then, sure, the pure black isn't perfect, but I'd take that over worrying about burn-in and enjoying my television for twice the life cycle.
  10. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Oct 29, 2008 -> 08:30 PM) Why wait until then and deal with that mess. Go here, pass go and save major $$. Buy this TV for this amount and I guarantee you won't regret it. The picture is freakin amazing! Buydig.com - Panasonic TH50PZ80U Ugh. Just say no to plasma, and yes to LCD!
  11. Someone needs to teach Kane and Toews how to take a damn picture. Look at how Chelly does it... a f***in' veteran!
  12. I remember my mind was blown when Caffey got all that money (and at the time, that was a pretty ridiculous contract).
  13. Considering Cabrera's value is most to contending teams, I'd expect us to get a pick in the 20-30 range and then a sandwich. Can't ask for more than that.
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 29, 2008 -> 02:37 PM) Maggs is just so much better of a hitter than alot of what we have in our lineup now. He would be an unreal DH. He would be a GREAT player to hit behind Q. AND he'd have to cut his hair due to team rules, and thusly he'd be way cool again.
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 29, 2008 -> 11:58 AM) Im hesitant to trade Kirk at this point. He is a perfect 2nd team PG and looked like he had more energy than recent seasons. I was hoping Kirk would blossom being on the second unit and get close to the Kirk of old that used to carry this team. I agree, he seems invaluable off the bench. Who the hell backups the point if he's gone? Larry Hughes? Thabo Sefolosha? No thanks... unless they include a Marcus Williams then I just don't see it working for us.

    "The Avengers" should be 8 hours long!
  17. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 29, 2008 -> 11:12 AM) I believe they are building the Juan Uribe buffet. Yup, I lol'd.
  18. QUOTE (mreye @ Oct 29, 2008 -> 09:40 AM) I may be wrong here, but I would let him pick up the stuff that isn't yours immediately (It's not yours afterall - why inconvenience another innocent party) and then sue him in small claims court for the $250 and your missing items. I think the goodwill will gain you points in the court's eyes. ^^^

  20. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Oct 29, 2008 -> 08:14 AM) Unless its Larry Hughes that we send I wouldnt understand the move. Hinrich is the backup pg right now, something Gordon/Hughes arent able to do effectively and honestly Hinrich would contribute to this team more than Harrington. Preferably id like to deal Hughes and have Harrington off the bench for SF/PF. Lessens Nocioni's role on the team but Harrington is better. Well, of course we'd love to deal Hughes, but the Warriors aren't going to be taking him!
  21. A team source has confirmed that Al Harrington, citing a poor relationship with coach Don Nelson, has officially asked the Warriors to trade him. Nellie benched Harrington in a preaseason game against Lithuania and Harrington refused to reenter when Nelson asked him to go back in. This is disastrous news for Harrington owners, as the fact that the feud is public means Nellie might not feel like playing him. Harrington came into the season saying he was ready to make it work, but he appears to be at the end of his rope with Nellie. Wait and see what happens Wednesday before doing anything drastic. Within hours of hearing that Al Harrington had demanded a trade from the Warriors, the Bulls were rumored to step in and start negotiating, according to a source. As witnessed last night, the Bulls simply have too many guards, and they appear to be talking about shipping Kirk Hinrich to Don Nelson, which makes sense. While Hinrich would likely shine for the Warriors, and Harrington owners would love to see him moved soon, a trade to the Bulls would then make the front court crowded and likely stifle the development Tyrus Thomas. Stay tuned.
