This is one of the first times the Bears just annihilated a team they were supposed to... the Packers have lost 3 in a row, and their defense is really suffering. The Bears will beat the Falcons by two touchdowns, as the Falcons and my boy Michael Turner just won't be able to run effectively, which will for Ryan to do too much. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 08:20 AM) I have an NBA Keeper league starting this year, with a lot of dedicated fantasy basketball players. Anyone interested in joining (Yahoo!) feel free to PM me. Again, this is the first year, so we're starting from scratch. The rules are posted in the league thread. The draft is Tuesday night, to avoid any White Sox games that might be played. bump -
QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 12:18 PM) And the Cubs have Soriano signed through 2014... ouch. I said it the day they signed him it was a terrible move. They signed a guy who can only lead off but can't lead off... he and Fukudome locked up is just terrible for the Cubs. Soriano is signed through his age 37 year at nearly 18 million. How Hendry even still has a job is a joke.

**Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies NLCS Thread**
Steve9347 replied to Brian's topic in The Diamond Club
Sorry, but the Dodgers are stacked for the playoffs. Past Hamels, all the Philly pitchers are susceptible to the big inning, and the Dodgers feast off of those. The Phillies also have the least consistent big hitters in baseball (Howard, a somewhat injured Utley)... it's no contest. Dodgers in 5. -

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 10:36 PM) I'd rather not have home field advantage and play the Angels. Have you been watching the Chicago White Sox this year? If you can get home field advantage, you take it. -
I don't see how people can ever b**** about the Vazquez trade (which I still feel we won), when you see what Danks has done compared to B-Mac...

Very good game for the Sox... wish we could play in primetime tomorrow, but whatever, I'll leave work early. GO SOX!

Do you think KW would undo the Chris Young trade now?
Steve9347 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Oh my F*CKING GOD get the F*CK OVER IT! Do you think AZ would undo the Quentin deal? Do you think TEX would undo the Danks deal? Do you think PHI would undo the Floyd deal? Do you think some teams might have ponied up a bit more dough for Alexei? GET OVER IT. -

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 06:10 PM) It removes him from the salary cap. They still have to pay the contract. Basically, the will have 6 million dollars to play with BELOW the cap, but that money is still coming out of the pockets of the Hawks. If that does happen, it will be interesting to see how long Rocky keeps paying for Tallons f***ups out of his own pocket. Yeah, but a Russian team would also pay him for the rights... he'd be elite over there... they might be able to get the entire contract paid. -

QUOTE (letsgoarow @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 04:39 PM) we only need 1 of 2 on the road to start this. We had a 10x better chance in game 2 then game 1 going in. this changes nothing Exactly. We kept it close despite Javy going out and doing what he does (6 earned)... thankfully Clayton ate up the rest of the innings.
