  2. QUOTE (shipps @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 08:42 AM) I was just going to post if anyone knew where to find a picture of Danks on Hall's back with the ski goggles.Awesome avatar steve. Ha, thanks man. I have it saved as well.
  3. Been following it all year. Knowing it has a happy ending (as far as the AL Central goes) makes for a great year of reading.
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 01:53 AM) Am I the only one having issues with TBS' coverage. Apparently my area doesn't get TBS HD, even though I have an HD package through Charter Cable. So I'm watching the game on my HDTV but I only get TBS in standard definition, and it's terrible. The screen gets all jittery and every time a graphic comes up on screen, the picture either freezes or flickers every other frame or so. It's incredibly annoying. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone else have any ideas how to fix it? I couldn't tell you, because I get gloriously beautiful TBS HD, and loved everything except Dick Stockton. Some of their camera cuts were really well done, great direction. Showing Ozzie freaking out in the dugout to bring his OF in and the next play shows that made the difference. The camera choice right after Thome connect on that bomb showing it headed deep into the dark, extremely late September night was amazing as well. Their on screen graphics should be adopted by everyone (seriously, how have our local broadcasts not picked up the box-score mentality of showing what players have done in previous at bats??) Well done, TBS.
  5. QUOTE (shipps @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 08:25 AM) Quentin returning and actually being CQ would be a miracle of epic proportions.And I believe in miracles even though Ozzie doesnt. The thing is, he hasn't ruled out being available on THURSDAY. That says a lot about how he feels. Sure, I doubt it happens, but if he were just available as a pinch hitter to get worked in slowly, that'd be great. A guy with his eye won't take long to get back into the swing of things, imo.
  6. Ozzie managed one of his best games tonight. Not the night for a thread like this.
  7. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 09:55 PM) Toby > Widger
  8. The last pitch of the game was 100 mph. We all saw his curveball tonight as well. Bobby + playoffs = deadly.
  9. Javy's still got world-class talent and he'll be against a Rays team that will extremely nervous and starting a guy in LF who hasn't played in months...
  10. I'm about 90% sure he won't be on the ALDS roster... that'd be a nice surprise though!

  12. It's not listed on TV Guide because it wasn't a planned event. They are on TBS and TBS HD tonight as you can see by simply going to TBS.com, do not worry.
  13. Would you expect any other team to do so? What a joke, their management should all be canned.
  14. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 03:14 PM) My guess is he'll still go to Los Angeles. Gerber and Auld is a decent duo for Ottawa, but they could still upgrade obviously. Either way, I think Tallon should of handled this situation better, but to me Huet will provide an upgrade on what the Bulin Wall has produced for the Hawks. There's no question about that. Khabibulin was brutally worthless. Huet's save percentage and performance has been way better, he's the best tender we've had since Belfour (and I liked Hackett and Thibault...)
  15. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 03:05 PM) There is the other option, which I don't think the Hawks would do, but if they actually do stick Bulin in the minors, while the club would have to pay the 6.75, it wouldn't count against the cap. 1.I don't think they would that to Nik 2.I don't think they are willing to pay 6.75 to a AHL netminder 3.That looks really bad as an organization, and could scare off other FA's down the road. Yeah that won't happen. He'll get dealt after he gets claimed once he goes down, so the other team can afford it.
  16. Shedding some light on the situation. The Hawks would still be stuck with half of Khabby's salary, but this would mean a move to Ottawa would be much easier.
  17. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 07:08 PM) LMAO. RSO has the same stance so WTF are you b****ing about? Wow, you totally missed it.
