QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 25, 2015 -> 03:22 PM) There is definitely different schools of thought on which surgery is best. Ask D-Wade how happy he is about the decision he made. Two titles on that knee? He's fine with it. He'll never buy another dinner in Miami again, either. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 25, 2015 -> 01:39 PM) Westbrook had the same series of injuries (in fact, Westbrook had 4 injuries in theory...ACL and 3 different meniscus surgeries). Russ never tore his ACL as far as I can remember. -

QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 25, 2015 -> 12:22 PM) Which ESPN article said something to the tune of this? You're making assumptions on his surgery route (where your understanding is lacking) based upon a silly quote he made a long time ago. Trust me, dude. I took a god damned Master's class when he tore his meniscus last year. I begged him to cut the f***er out (his tear was too deep to do the partial removal that Westbrook received). I can't imagine a re-tear, regardless of how deep, could really be "fixed" by a partial removal. It's kind of like tearing a piece of paper taping it up, having the tear re-appear but some of the tape is hanging off, and then just hoping that holds up. He needs to D-Wade that b**** outta there and play hard for the next 5 seasons. That's my non-medical, but realistic, opinion. -

The Bulls and Rose decided to fix the meniscus tear instead of cutting the damaged part out in order to elongate Rose's career. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 25, 2015 -> 11:39 AM) Eh, I'd call it 2 and a half. This is a common re-injury on a meniscus repair surgery. If he had torn is ACL on that knee, in addition to his other ACL tear, sure, i'd call him done. But in reality he's had one ACL tear (with no other issues) and one MCL tear with a complication. Seeing how Westbrook has looked this year after the same re-injury/complication, i.e. better than ever, I'm not ready to close the book on Rose. I think the Bulls should move forward as if he's just a nice piece and not the franchise player, but that doesn't mean Rose can't get back to that level. This Bulls team has a window that's cracked slightly open for this season. That window is closing quickly. -

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Feb 25, 2015 -> 11:36 AM) So the decision to treat the injury by sitting out last year did nothing but waste six months of basketball for the Bulls. That's what grinds my gears. -

QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 25, 2015 -> 11:32 AM) Steve seems to be making a bunch of assumptions on the media's perception of Rose. The news out this morning is very positive. It seems inevitable that he will get the meniscus removed as from what I've read, it's standard operating procedure after a retear. I am sure April will either suck or suck really bad. I took my quote from an ESPN article, so blame them if they're wrong. -

So much for that - gotta preserve him for sometime down the road. A timetable for Rose's return will be determined once he has surgery, the team said. The Bulls and Rose decided to fix the meniscus tear instead of cutting the damaged part out in order to elongate Rose's career. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 24, 2015 -> 10:05 PM) Man I am really sad about this. I'm not. I'm numb to the whole situation. Derrick sucked this year and wasn't interested in team play anyway. That said, 30% of our cap is swallowed for the foreseeable future, so he's just a big fat legless anchor. If he gets the meniscus removed, he'll earn a bit of my respect back. But I'm sure he still wants to play with his kids and lord knows getting that next contract with a removed meniscus will be tough. -

Of course he's going to repair it and not its have it removed. At this point, why conserve and worry about his 30s? He should be trying to get back on the court. -
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 23, 2015 -> 12:44 PM) Tried 3 new shows. 1) Better Call Saul. So I was pretty cautious about this show and thought Id be disappointed. I was wrong. Its been really good. I'd venture to say Better Call Saul is great.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Feb 19, 2015 -> 04:32 PM) So the mlb rankings for The Show '15 came out today. The Sox rate out as the 22nd best team in baseball. I'm not terribly surprised. They rate Quintana as a 4th/5th starter. Abreu and Sale are the only highly rated player, and Abreu is still only rated as an 84 overall. The Cubs.....as you would expect, are highly, HIGHLY overrated in this game. But I was thinking they'd be around like #15 or so. NOPE. The Cubs are ranked as the #2 team in baseball!!!! LMAO. Number f***ing TWO. The Cubs are better than the Nationals. I haven't seen their ratings yet, but I'd bet Lester is about a 96, Arrieta a 90 or so, Kris Bryant is probably an 88. Just disgusting. Abreu at an 84 is a f***ing joke.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Feb 19, 2015 -> 05:14 PM) The only thing that sounds like it is stopping me from watching is that it takes place in the 80s with the Cold War. In the first episode (boring, by the way), there's a sex scene to Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight". That was it for me.

That Bosh injury is huge. The Heat were just about to become a team that you didn't want in the first round as a top 4 seed. Now they're laughably bad in the front court and their spacing is f***ed.
