QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 03:31 PM) Look. I understand that the HCP thing is a response to RSO. But I really think the "hot chick" reference is more than a little sexist. I'd appreciate it if you stopped with that. I was just going to adopt it. How about... PCBSNRTBVPP?

QUOTE (rangercal @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 03:58 PM) Every time this thread is bumped I check to see if it was for Ben Gordon. I can not believe it is the middle of September and still no news on a trade/signing. Or, you know, ANY moves from a franchise that took a huge step backwards last year. This offseason was a joke.

QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 09:09 AM) I'm sorry, but they ARE most certainly choking. No team has a worse record in MLB than the Twins over their last 24 games - largely against 3rd, 4th and 5th place teams, and yes, largely on the road - but even Seattle on a 7 game current losing streak is 11-13 in their last 24. The Twins are an embarrassing 8-16, and 5-10 in September. I don't care how mediocre you are, when 11-13 would have been good enough to have the division lead, YOU DID CHOKE! Yet we've only managed to gain like 2 games on them in that period.

Zambrano is better than a few of those pitchers you have mentioned. Tim Hudson? Ben Sheets (always injured)... give me Zambrano over either. And seriously... Billingsly has had a nice little start to his career, but Big Z has been just as good but over a much longer stretch. Seriously, your main problem is with Zambrano walking too many people, when his career WHIP is below Billingsly's (1.28 vs 1.32), and that's over 1,000 more innings. I'm not a big Zambrano fan at all, but he's easily better than some of those you list as top pitchers.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 06:14 PM) haha classic! I taught my GF everything I know about the White Sox. She knows everything about the team and about baseball in general. We watch just about every game together. She is now worse than me when it comes to not missing a sox game (let alone playoff game.) She is now my fiance. Didn't know you were engaged, congrats! I got married on October 14, 2006. Obviously that falls right in the playoffs. However, my wife knows my love of the White Sox and when we're in Vegas next month for our 2nd year Anniversary... you can damn well bet she'll encourage us to find a spot, lay down a bet, and get crazy!

1) Delete this thread as not to jinx anything. 2) It's a birthDAY not a birthWEEKEND. Tell her to calm the f*** down.

I need opinions on an offer I received... I get: Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson and I give up Laveranues Coles. I think Ocho is a good buy-low candidate (as is Coles, really)... I just need some input. It's been sitting on my offered table for a day and a half and I want to act on it today. Seems like a toss-up to me.

QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 01:28 PM) Welker is useless now that Cassel is at the healm. Then again so is Morris, I would make accept that trade and hope his production increases. you seem to be alright at the RB position. I like Kevin Walter, hes a good 3rd receiver, Welker would be a nice backup. Lewis for Stuckey, you would have to be nuts, Browns have been terrible but hes faced two good defenses, hold onto him. I really disagree with your assessment of Welker. Cassel was bound to have some growing pains, but Welker still has value (and was the most targeted receiver last year). That slot is so important to a growing QB, that I almost prefer Welker to Moss now. Don't touch that deal trading away Jamal Lewis, he'll come back and be a stud. However, I'd jump all over moving Morris for Welker.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 12:47 PM) http://www.local6.com/spotlight/17488179/detail.html I hate it when my genitals get in the way of a good picture. Don't you? He did it on purpose. He's got weird sex issues. (at least that's what I get given this picture) HA! His wife/fiance is rather hot. -
QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 11:39 AM) You know, I've realized as far as Linkin Park singles go, when they try and rock out it's nothing special or original. Just bland heavy music, but there ballad-y songs like "Shadow of the Day" or "Leave out All the rest" are really good. Such an odd combo. I disagree. Shadow of the Day is dogs***. I like their heavier stuff though.
