  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2008 -> 09:39 AM) JungleBook Jungle Fever
  6. Jimbo, I've answered this question for countless soxtalkers (its kind of funny, you're like me 2 years ago, everything you do mirrors my life two years ago)... Anyway, here's all you need to know. 40" Samsung LCD Get the 720p, the human eye cannot see a difference between 1080 and 720 on screens 42" or smaller. You'll be throwing your money away. Trust me, this is the best television you can get, and I've turned at least 20 people onto it, and all are extremely happy.
  7. Paul Konerko comes back and rocks it for us.
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 04:00 PM) Arizona, Detroit, and Cleveland are easily the 3 biggest dissapointments. Put them in any order. Detroit, AZ, Cleveland is the order I'd go with.
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 03:41 PM) How can Cincinnati not be mentioned as the worst team in football? I haven't heard Houshmandzedah's name or Chad's name once this year (besides the name changing thing). Carson Palmer can't throw the ball, and the defense is bad (way to be the last 1st rounder to be signed, Rivers, ya dope). I think they'll have a top 3 pick next year. 1 Chiefs- Sam Bradford, Oklahoma, QB 2 Rams- Michael Oher, Mississippi, OT 3 Bengals- Michael Johnson, Georgia Tech, DE 4 Lions- Vontae Davis, Illinois, CB 5 Dolphins- Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech, WR The Bengals will be better when all is said and done... I'm thinking 6 wins, which none of the other teams you've got there will approach.
  10. Pshhh. Hall of Fame Cap = Red Sox edit: It was a joke!
  11. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 03:38 PM) Just like i wrote in to an op-ed it would say something like "Soxbadger is a libtard in Chicago." We're all libtards!
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 03:02 PM) this is way tooo funny. Please read this. i've never laughed harder at print in my life. http://www.newyorker.com/humor/2008/09/22/...currentPage=all That was some of the funniest s*** I've read in awhile.
  13. What a waste of time this all is... onto the debates! I don't care if Obama has 15 different AIM names and is rocking chatrooms... it doesn't matter.
  14. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 03:05 PM) it'll have you busy for a while, that's for sure. Hint, though: Do read the foot notes, they are sometimes tedious but other times awesome. not foot notes end notes Yeah from what I read online it's rather long, but I'd be depriving myself if I didn't check it out.
  15. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 03:13 PM) Evenflow heavy flow
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 03:24 PM) My response to that is fairly simple...if you give me a great defense and reasonable offense and put it up against a weak defense and great offense...the team with the better defense will win most of the time. I don't know how much gas the giants have left on defense. That's my question. If they were somehow hanging out close to the level their D played at in the playoffs...then I don't care how good those offenses are. Yeah, it's just without Strahan and Umenyiora that might be difficult.
  17. QUOTE (scenario @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 01:26 PM) Sounds like speculation gone wild to me. Sounds like the Angels would be risking a lot of that were true. They'd be nuts to negotiate with another team's player... the risk of doing so is much greater than the reward (Crede). Also, that's so unlike Boras it's unbelievable. He'd never make a deal without playing team after team off one another to squeeze every penny out of whatever franchise unwisely gives Crede multi-year money.
  18. White Sox will put up 8 runs tonight and win. /predictions
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 02:25 PM) O'Doyle Madison
  20. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 02:35 PM) That's so cool that you had him. Infinite Jest just blew me away, I've never laughed so hard or felt so badly for characters as I did in that book. I think it would be amazing to have a teacher like that. In the journalism school I do have some really good writers and some really interesting people as well, though. God damn it. I'm gonna go read consider the lobster again tomorrow. Never heard of him or the book before this thread, but now I have it on reserve at the local library...
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 02:11 PM) Field error
