QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 04:06 PM) No, the man has no substance. But neither does McCain. But they both have more substance then GWB, who really has no substance. Well played.

Well, these Hillary supporters are a bunch of f***tards.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 02:50 PM) Rock Star Obama = Kap's way of referring to him. He's just bitter.

"Thunderstruck" during baseball season, "The Final Countdown" the rest of the time.

I hated Quenneville when he was with the Blues, but just because the team was good. Decent hire. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 02:26 PM) My farts generally dont smell. And for this team and what we are trying to do, Orton is a better fit because of his reads, height, and decision making ability. Rex is a mental midget who really sucks at ball control. You suck at ball control! -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 02:25 PM) Well, he cant hit in the majors, so might as well put him in a level where he can. -
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 12:41 PM) Not when they are as dominant as anyone, under control for three more years, and likely aren't going to get what he's worth to our team. Ok, so if someone offers you two highly-touted prospect position players or a starting pitcher and position player that can help your team, who cares Bobby's dominant? Gag me, it's still only like 80 innings worth of ball. Closers are expendable.

He's been taking one-handed batting practice to keep himself in the game watching pitches. He's not taking two-handed batting practice and won't be for awhile. -
I continually find myself surprised at how Mad Men gets better with each episode. "Best Drama" should be a shoe-in.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 11:08 AM) The Palin impression by Tina Fey is just so dead on, from the appearance to the voice. Fantastic. laughed my ass off when I watched that episode on DVR delay yesterday. Sadly, it was the funniest moment of the episode (that had the other two funny parts buried in the last two skits, including the Phelps Diet informercial.) -

Eh, them's the rules. AA championships don't mean s***. -
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 12:24 PM) It's always hilarious to see such a big deal made out of Jenks loss of velocity when he has become a better pitcher in the process. He should be an untouchable. I agree Jenks is a stud closer and we have nothing to worry about, but closers labeled as untouchable is a joke.

We have one of the best closer in baseball. Bobby will be fine.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 10:09 AM) Watched the first 2 episodes I had TiVo'd over the weekend. I like the show, but the Katie Segal (sp?) character doesn't work for me at all, it seems forced, almost like they beefed it up because she was a name. I will still watch it, sometimes when they establish characters they have to have a few forced scenes and I like the rest of the show a lot. I wasn't going to watch Fringe because good old Comcast doesn't get FX HD, and the non-HD channel is one of the lowest quality I have ever seen. Then during the rain this weekend I happened across Sons of Anarchy On Demand in high def and watched the first two episodes. I really enjoy it, and will watch it on demand on weekends this entire season.

If Rex Grossman's arm could be fashioned onto Kyle Orton's body, you'd have a hellofa quarterback. Unfortunately, both of them contrast one another's talents. I'd still take Rex over Orton, but we'll have to wait a few more weeks before the higher ups inevitably make the mid-season switch like it'll actually matter. -
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 09:55 AM) ohhh I like that a LOT! I've actually been thinking that news organizations should fact chck every ad then and ONLY then will they play the ad as "news" and then follow it up with a fact check. Too often these ads are played and then they move on to "oh wow. look at that. that's a rough ad" and they never fact chck it/ Or if they do, it's several hours later. Yeah, I'm just talking strict fact-checking. Not purpose, not content, just "is this statement a true statement." These ads have too much influence on WHO RUNS OUR F***ING COUNTRY FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS for us to allow them to be completely false. You can't blame McCain too much (though I'd want my President to finally be someone I respect after it not being so the last 7+ years), because this s*** works. It's the system that is flawed.
-
Seriously, there should be someone policing these things, an independent fact-checking group should have to approve any ad released from both parties.
-
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 13, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) McCain Campaign On The Lies in their Ads: We are in it to win, facts get int he way- I'm going to vomit. F*** the truth, we want to win, and America is so stupid they'll believe anything they see on tv.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 07:34 PM) 49ers beat the Seahawks in Seattle = huge upset Not really when you consider MY cell phone blew up before the game to see if I was nearby to play WR for Seattle. The Seahawks are on like their 7th option at WR at this point.
