  1. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 08:36 AM) Where did you hear that? Two friends texted me that within minutes, trying to get details. With Bruce there it wouldn't make much sense.
  2. QUOTE (Texsox @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 08:11 AM) Any of our starting corner OF would return a top SP. Trading Dye would be dumb, trading Quentin is out of the question.
  3. I must say, last night I saw Junior park one and thought "wow, Junior's really heating up..." Who knows? Maybe he hits .280 from here on out, but I still don't get it.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 07:46 AM) Maybe we were going after one of their arms and had to take Griffey in the deal. Now THAT'S smart thinking, Rock... I sure hope so. Maybe they took Pauly back haha.
  5. Stone on the Score right now says this must be setting up another deal.
  6. I've used Google Analytics extensively for the site I managed at my previous position, and now the site I currently manage. If you want to "control" your presence on Google as much as possible, it is absolutely a must. No one outside of Google knows exactly how their algorithms work, but having Analytics gives you the best chance to raise your organic ranking and bring in more business.
  7. Seriously, Kenny obviously has a good rapport with Byrnes, and Tracy would be able to play 1B or 3B, and with Pauly struggling and Crede's back woes, I am throwing it out there that I think Chad Tracy could be acquired relatively inexpensively and give the Sox exactly what they need. He's not a huge homerun guy, thank God, and will hit for a good average, and get on base. He doesn't try to do too much, and is a very consistent player. There are no rumors of the Sox getting Tracy, I'll say that right now. However, KW would be very smart to add him to the roster.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 30, 2008 -> 09:04 AM) No. If they go under you no longer have to pay your mortgage. Ha, that'd sure be nice... lol.
  9. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 30, 2008 -> 10:59 AM) yeah serious questions...they've lost 3 f***ing games people need to step away from the f***ing ledge and realize that this team is not playing well right now...that's pretty much it I think people are starting to skip past my original post which had nothing to do with the Sox actually being pretenders, but more with CSN deciding to use that song for the game.
  10. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 30, 2008 -> 10:02 AM) Personally I think they should trade Ben and Kirk for Nate Robinson................ Ben and Kirk for Sam Cassell!
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 30, 2008 -> 10:11 AM) Unless this is a new quote, I don't think Konerko is getting benched right now. He looked good his last couple of ABs yesterday and has hit Hernandez well this year. Ozzie did say yesterday if he sits it will be for a while. I was under the impression that he didn't think the time had come yet. It's a new quote.
  12. 670 just played that little tidbit. Looks like we can start winning games again with Swish at 1st, and BA/Wise splitting CF duties. It's about time.
  13. Should I be concerned if I have my mortgage through them? I presume it'd just be "sold off" to whatever new bank arrises...
  14. This is kind of funny... yowsa.
  15. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 03:21 PM) Exactly, when Ledger is not on screen, the film is average. SO? He's on screen for 60% of the movie. He's a part of the movie. How would "There Will Be Blood" have been without Daniel Day-Lewis? How would "The Shawshank Redemption" have been without Morgan Freeman? Hell, how would "Fight Club" have been without Brad Pitt? Seriously, he's part of the movie, so saying it's mediocre without him is absurd.
  16. Too bad Houston's major stars (TMac and Yao) can't ever stay healthy, or else they'd be favorites in the West this year.

  18. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 11:57 PM) I wonder if we could deal Gordon and Hinrich to NY for David Lee... Worst trade idea ever.
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 10:19 PM) Too much money. Has a good year, they don't give him 5-50, has a down year, and they give him 6-72 or 6-70 or whatever it is. But, what are you going to do? Hopefully they can re-sign then trade Gordon now with Kirk hopefully. I don't think you know what you're talking about. He refused to sign the 5-50 deal that was offered by the Bulls, as did Ben Gordon. Even after a down year, Deng still averaged 17 points and 6.3 boards despite being injured most of the season. I have a feeling he'll be averaging 22/8 this year.
  20. link Obviously I like this move, Haviland is a players coach and has a history of success wherever he's gone. He should be good with the youngsters on the roster, of which there will be plenty, considering he's been coaching many of them the past three years.
  21. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 30, 2008 -> 01:00 AM) I don't believe in coincidences, however you can't blame Paulie for the fact the pitching staff has fallen off or for all of the errors. However, it is undebateable that his play in the field and at the plate have been awful, and it also seems that he has a negative affect on the team for one reason or another, beyond even his own poor play. Actually, I've never seen worse defense played at 1B since his return. The Big Hurt could throw better than Paulie. 1B don't get too many chances to screw the team over, but he's been solely responsible for extra at bats and multiple runs since his return. He can't hit He can't field He can't sit... I guess.
  22. Um, in of course. I think Kenny will do the right thing and add a pitcher. And I hope Ozzie does the right thing and benches Paul Konerko.
