  1. I find it funny that CSN would decide to use the Foo Fighters song, "The Pretender", surrounding the Sox game. Love the song, but think before you play something like that. Although, after tonight, it's kinda fitting.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 04:58 PM) They basically traded Kotch for Tex. The good news is that the Angels are going to need a 1B next year. Unless, of course, they pull out their fat wallets like they do every offseason and just sign Tex.
  3. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 12:48 PM) House 24 Scrubs(waits for Soxtalk to cave down around me) You go to hell on all three of those.
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 09:52 AM) Other than Carl Everett has Kenny ever made a big trade at the deadline? Contreras... Garcia came like a week before the deadline, does that count? Robbie Alomar...
  5. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 09:47 AM) Read the title of the thread. Go bash Swish and Konerko somewhere else, this is a positive thread. If you have something positive to say, say it, otherwise dont hit the reply button. Got it? Paulie blows.
  6. THere's nothing good to be said about Paulie. At this point, he's not a Major League Baseball player, and he's killed us since coming off the DL.
  7. QUOTE (The Critic @ Jul 27, 2008 -> 10:32 AM) Sorry, man, but that last hour or so felt like forever. It wasn't uninteresting, but it wasn't spellbinding either. Wow, I thought the last hour was f***ing awesome.
  8. Yeah, he's really pissing me off.
  9. Floyd + Fields for Halladay... I think both sides would be happy with that one. The Jays get two guys who contribute immediately to the big club with pretty decent ceilings, the White Sox get a SP who cements them as World Series contenders. I actually would really like this.
  10. Hooray! No more Casey Blake! Soxkiller.
  11. Let me just interject that if you haven't seen NCFOM yet, then it's obviously not a priority and it being "ruined" certainly isn't a big deal for you. Oh, and if you can't afford it, it's called Watch-Movies.net. Oh, you can watch The Dark Knight there too!
  12. QUOTE (Felix @ Jul 25, 2008 -> 02:54 PM) I think it makes it much too easy to evaluate talent. Every league I'm in is 1-10 or 2-8, and I plan on keeping it that way To each his own though. I agree, I prefer a 1-10 scale. I'm even in a league taht only shows talents, and not overalls. Now THAT'S interesting.
  13. I think I just enjoyed The Dark Knight even more the second time around...
  14. That was the game of the year right there, folks.
  15. Ha, it's supposed to say "DL", but you get where my mind was going. More to follow I'm sure...
  16. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 11:00 PM) The big wigs from the Braves from office, including Frank Wren, were at the Barons/M-Braves game tonight. I don't know who they were there to scout, our guys or theirs, but Aaron Poreda was pitching. Just saying... Who the hell would we get from the Braves? I doubt we'd be after Texeira Tim Hudson? Yunel Escobar? Chipper Jones? Mark Kotsay? No thanks.
  17. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 04:31 PM) Bernstein just mentioned that various outlets are reporting that KW's talks with the A's regarding a trade for Justin Duchscherer are heating up. Fields and Poreda would likely be involved. This makes me very nervous because I don't like Duch for the long term one bit. Do that in a heartbeat.
  18. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 01:54 AM) If we trade OC we BETTER be getting Brian Roberts back in another deal. ANd you better get that deal done first, as BAL owner likes to nix deals last second. This thread is hilarious.
  19. QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 04:11 PM) CQ!!!!!! On pace for around 35 HR's now, this guy has just been insane this season. Could he win the MVP award if he keeps this pace up and the Sox win the division I wonder? Try 41
  20. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 03:38 PM) in GIDP. No other team is even frickin close to 7 players of the top 64, obviously I can't recall how many times this season I've said "please strike out so you don't GIDP" unf***ingreal Yeah they won today... so let's not worry about it.
  21. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 04:05 PM) 20 runs in two days=feast or famine offense. Fixed that for you.
  22. CQ!! Alexei defense!! Bobby!! Big Jim!! Comebacks!! Diet Pepsi!!
  23. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 03:37 PM) Tillman, Kreutz, Dvoracek, and another player didn't show, either. Things looking up already... Tillman's locked up and Dvoracek has been injured his two years, don't know why they wouldn't be there. I'm glad that Williams is here, and the Bears would be dumb to not have seen Hester holding out.
