  1. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 04:43 PM) Once they trade Khabby, they'll actually gain another $1 million- in essence, that signing of Huet will be a wash. They are keeping Khabby. And they would actually only gain another .6 million if they dealt him... I don't think there's a taker.
  2. I think DT screwed something up, or had a deal for Khabby in place that was pulled back after Huet accepted. Goaltenders should not make up 1/5 of your payroll.
  3. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 04:36 PM) It amazes me though... how the hell can you give an 8 yr contract ?? That's nothing... Wait, they get longer... Seriously, we just locked up a franchise blueliner, the type that nets you a Stanley Cup, a captain... for what amounts to a steal at 7 million per. Look at Chelios playing well into his mid-40s, and Cambell will be just 37 in the final year of this deal. I'm very fine with this.
  4. CAMPBELL AT ONLY 7 PER??? nice work dt, this was a great signing.
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 04:14 PM) TSN says the Hawks are pushing more now for Redden then Campbell. Not surprising. They want to make a splash, but they have to stay reasonable. We have extensions for Kane and Toews to worry about down the road.
  6. I don't really want Campbell at 8.5. Obviously Hossa's out if he's getting 12 per (which is f***ing ridiculous). Give me Roszival or someone else, Campbell's not worth that type of money.
  7. IS BULIN GONE THEN??? Huet is exactly what this team needs, I'm very glad they got him. If we can somehow dump Bulin, wow just wow.
  8. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 05:54 AM) IIRC, wasn't Konerko hitting around .250 at the time of the All Star break in 05? .249, but with 20 hr and 55 rbi. He was also 29 then, not 32. Things change. Also .249 > .215 I also tend to look at his 2006 stats to see the type of hitter he's truly become. Right around my estimations of .260/30/90 with a .259/31/90 season (and I didn't even look it up). That's the type of hitter he is IF HE'S REALLY LUCKY from his return from the DL til the end of the season. Hell, to break .260 he'd have to hit nearly .300... I don't hate the guy, I just have realistic expectations...
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 10:07 PM) Agree. I'd rather have Hossa and Commodore/Streit/Redden/Orpik then Campbell and Huselius/Satan/Demitra. That's what I've been saying. However, replace Streit with Roszival and I'm happy.
  10. I also had "Men Behaving Badly" on my list.
  11. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 01:37 PM) Wow just looking at Streit's stats... man he had 62 points on the Habs. Offensively he would be a huge upgrade. I haven't seen him play much so I don't know how he is defensively but he was a -6 but so much goes into that. He'd be an awful lot like Bryan Berard but with two eyes. Sure, he can put the puck in the net, but he's more than just a defensive liability. (hence the - +/- every year, even on last year's great squad.) Pass.
  12. I had "Working" on my list.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 10:16 AM) Nice work. No offense to the Arrested Development crowd, but #2 should be slotted for a show that ran longer than 3 years. Just my opinion. The Simpsons has run for 20+ years, and was #2. However, in 3 short seasons, Arrested Development, in my opinion, was the best entertainment I have ever been lucky enough to enjoy.
  14. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jun 28, 2008 -> 06:34 PM) I did read that retail editions are hard to come by, I guess i'll have to scrounge torrent sites. I pulled it off a torrent site not all that long ago. With all the mods at MVP mods, it's still easily the best game out there. I don't play it much anymore though just because I don't play games all that much anymore.
  15. Nice work Jeremy. Nice to see Arrested Development, unfortunately all to late, is finally recognized. It's my #1 and always will be...
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 01:26 AM) Simpsons not 1, eh???? Yeah... Seinfeld no brainer.
  17. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 08:45 AM) So, you are telling me that this team is better WITHOUT a healthy and productive Paul Konerko? WOW! A productive Konerko may be a thing of the past. At this point he's too streaky. If you think you're ever seeing Paul Konerko hit .280 again, well, props to you, because I just don't see it. At this point, at best, he's a .260/30/90 guy. With the boppers we have elsewhere in the lineup, I'll take the defense in the outfield and Swisher's increased range at 1B over that.
  18. I am so much more worried about the Tigers.
  19. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 08:40 AM) OR, he hasn't been preforming this season due to his injuries and with him being injured we are losing out on a big bat in the middle of the order... We aren't really losing out on a big bat though. We've got plenty of boppers in the lineup. Anyone who thinks this team is better with Konerko is sorely mistaken.
  20. Until Danks can get past the 6th inning, he's no ace... Looks nice though!
  21. The longer Konerko is out, the better this team plays. Swisher at 1B helps our OF by having Anderson or Wise in CF. That and Konerko's .215 average make him rather worthless to the squad. We lose NOTHING without him in there.
  22. Malone is decent, but there's much bigger fish to fry in this FA market that a $30 mill, front loaded contract would not have made sense. The Hawks need to land Hossa and one of the big D-men.

QUOTE (3E8 @ Jun 26, 2008 -> 11:41 PM) Arrested Development movie (skip to 3:15) I hope to god it happens, and I hope it's 17 hours long.
