  1. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 8, 2008 -> 02:17 PM) and Matt Tolbert drives in a run with 2 outs, damn it Wait. Hold the phone. You can score runs with two outs?
  2. Must be hard for the SPs to know that if they give up just one run they'll get the L. At least if they go 9 scoreless innings they'll get the no decision.
  3. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 8, 2008 -> 02:05 PM) I'm watching this on the computer, but it said Thome grounded out on a 89 MPH FB in the middle of the plate Not one person on this team can hit.
  4. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 8, 2008 -> 11:21 AM) it just stands out because that is 75% of his earned runs. The indians were aready up 8-0 in the 7th when it happened. btw, I just tried trading cliff lee to just about every GM in my fantasy league lol hopefully, pujols, M. Cabrera(not likely) howard (maybe) or berkman (90% chance no) might come my way straight up for Cliff. Buy low, sell high! You could possibly get Howard if you included a halfway decent 1B going his way. It's a good move.
  5. Haha! Farmio: "I don't know if they respect the arm of Toby Hall yet." Sure about that??
  6. I love that we're now just making up numbers and handing out unearned/uncontested delegates. This process is so legit.
  7. QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 8, 2008 -> 01:27 PM) Who cares? I obviously did as I brought it up... Duh!
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2008 -> 12:28 PM) The next time you see a 60+ year old woman on the street somewhere, I expect you to point and laugh. I will. It will be hilarious. In all seriousness, I think a certain level of the Presidency honestly should consider appearance. Do I want a feeble, horrible looking grandmother as the main representative of this country? No. I think my question asking whether she'd keep with the Botox/facelifting that she's obviously been doing is a valid one. The way she "fixes" herself up works for me, I actually think she looks remarkable considering her age. However, who knows if once elected (which isn't happening anyway, so this is hypothetical), would she keep it up?
  9. 0-2 counts = White Sox hitter's goal.
  10. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 8, 2008 -> 12:16 PM) I don't expect the sox to get any "top prospects" for any of the listed players. But, it would be nice to pick up some low risk/high reward projects that teams may have given up on . Some examples of the last couple years would be Brandon Phillips, Gavin Floyd, Carlos Quentin, Josh Hamilton, Oliver Perez ect No, that's not possible. No one will gives us anything for our players despite many examples to the contrary. See Miguel Tejada
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2008 -> 12:07 PM) Who the Hell cares what a candidate does to improve their appearance? Why does this matter at all? Is John McCain a wuss because he has makeup put on to make his head look less shiny when he's appearing on TV? You're taking it too far... I didn't say it effected that at all. I just thought it was funny to point out how ghastly she really is. This IS the all things anti Hillary thread as well!
  12. Exactly. Make it happen now. As comprised right now, this entire lineup needs to be revamped.
  13. All I can say is sans makeup and without botox, Hillary looks like death. THat's a lot of botox. I know this means nothing. But I really just despise her. It's just funny how much Botox that must have taken and still take daily. At some points she can look just downright ghastly... The question is... does the Botox stop if she gets elected Pres? (Far-fetched and not going to happen I know, but dayom, she's ridiculous)
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2008 -> 11:30 AM) Brian Anderson touches himself at night. Honestly though, the amazing thing about this lineup is we're seeing something I thought we'd never see. A day off for Cabrera! (Craps pants). Anyway, yes, Anderson ought to start each day of the next week in CF, and they ought to give 2 days off to Thome and Konerko and a day off each to Dye, Swisher, and Quentin. Sadly, it just keeps not happening. But at least OC Finally gets a day off. Man he's needed one for a while now. Crap all you want. Juan Uribe's still out there.
  15. I prefer my All-Star games to have deserving players in them. I have no idea how he did not make it in 2000, but he's been a slow starter for the most part since then and oft-injured.
  16. Feast or Famine: White Sox Offense Will Take Years to Fix By Steve Harnden TCSN (Talk Chicago Sports Network)
  17. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 8, 2008 -> 11:14 AM) Apparently it is 69-59 for Clinton. This via MSNBC, not links I have seen yet. So it changes nothing really. This is quite the joke regardless. Ten whopping delegates Hillary. Go home.
  18. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 8, 2008 -> 11:13 AM) A deal has been reached. More to come. Oh my word...
  19. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 8, 2008 -> 09:24 AM) if it werent for a meaningless 3 run homer by the mariners, I believe his era would be 0.20 through 44.1 innings. That's an odd statement. It was still a 3 run homer that counts against his ERA. I mean, for every pitcher in baseball you could make points like this.

  21. QUOTE (kane0730 @ May 8, 2008 -> 11:08 AM) This was also in his blog: "Best part of Mark's bat-to-heater explosion last night was that he used one of Uribe's bats. Juan is very, very protective of his bats and keeps them all down at the far end of the dugout away from everyelse's lumber. So the idea that Mark grabbed whatever was nearest to him -- in this case Juan's bat -- do inflict his damage is classic." Now this is hilarious. Very protective of his bats??? Isn't that like protecting a Cubic Zirconia ring with armed guards?
