I can't believe Sex Panther didn't make that list of quotables. "No, she gets a special cologne... It's called Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries... Yep, it's made with bits of real panther, so you know it's good. [...] They've done studies, you know. Sixty percent of the time, it works every time." Then Burgundy with the classic reply: "Ooh, a formidable scent. It's quite pungent. It...it stings the nostrils. [...] Brian, to be honest with you, that smells like pure gasoline."

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 8, 2008 -> 10:14 AM) Anchorman is one of the worse pieces of s*** I've ever seen. I can guarantee there is no freaking way they'll ever doop me into seeing a 2nd version of that crap. I adored Anchorman, but don't want a sequel to ruin it.

Why do the best American bands have to be limited to the 70s/80s? White Stripes, Green Day, Nirvana I know these aren't conventional, but all three have influenced music as much as those others (save Aerosmith, who I can't stand but can understand the point). The list can go much deeper.

QUOTE (SoxPride56 @ May 8, 2008 -> 09:38 AM) Ramirez, SS; Q, LF; Thome, DH; PK, 1B; Dye, RF; Swish, CF; Crede, 3B; Uribe, 2B; Hall, C. wtf is this? We can't possibly have Ramirez leading off today can we? His .114 average and .139 OBP really are what I look for in a leadoff hitter.

QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ May 8, 2008 -> 08:11 AM) Belichick has apologized to his fellow coaches and the league and he has been punished. I don't see any reason to defend him at this time. Suffice it to say, I don't think "Spygate" is a big deal, and it's just about over. Agreed. I'm sure every franchise is the NFL was doing this. -
QUOTE (Felix @ May 8, 2008 -> 08:49 AM) Prime example was yesterday, when Volquez threw 118 pitches despite being up 9-0. Dear God, he's going to do what he did to Prior and Wood to Cueto and Volquez. How this man is allowed to do this type of thing blows my mind.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 8, 2008 -> 08:25 AM) See Round Ball Watch round ball leave pitchers hand If round ball crosses the big white thing in front of the gentleman who is squatting behind you between your nipples ( tmar reference ) and the knees swing the club. Make sure your back elbow is up, like an L Stride towards the pitcher ( not towards the third baseman ) Make sure that your swing is level, no dippy the back shoulder Watch the ball strike the club Drive through the ball Finish with your hands up high Wow. What Major League team do you play/coach for?

QUOTE (knightni @ May 7, 2008 -> 11:37 PM) Maybe European Vacation. European Vacation sucked fat balls. I don't see why they can't leave Anchorman alone. Standalone it was phenomenal, one of my favorite movies ever. Why can't they just come up with something else?

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ May 7, 2008 -> 06:42 PM) Well, since my post was ignored before, I'll post something similar again... Devils Cove is a party area. People tie their boats up and drink and eat and party and drink etc. Do I believe he was drinking? Yes. Do I believe he was drunk? According to the law, I believe if you refuse to take a breathalyzer, it's an automatic fail, but you can go to court and say, prove it. And I don't think the LCRA cops went to pick on the "Black People Boat." And if they did, then the problem isn't with Cedric. The Austin Police has come under fire lately for prejudice, but haven't most police departments? I'm not saying this was a smart act, but having partied there, all I've seen is some topless girls, jello shots and lots and lots of frisbee playing. Alright. Next time I'm out and having a good time, AND WASTED, I'll just drive home. If I get pulled over I'll just say "but officer, other people were doing it... and they had frisbees, boobies, and shotties!"

QUOTE (santo=dorf @ May 7, 2008 -> 07:20 PM) Bump for Bureau Hamilton: .299/.349/.545 7 HR, 36 RBI's Volquez: 4-1, 1.27 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 35.1 IP, 42 K's, 1 HR allowed Normally I'd say this deal worked out for both clubs considering both players are at the top of the important stat categories in each league, but with the Ranger's in need of pitching basically since Nolan Ryan retired, they definitely lost this one.

QUOTE (rangercal @ May 7, 2008 -> 12:34 PM) I agree with you on that sense. But I think we both can agree, this story can go either way and it would not be a surprise. True. Unfortunately Cedric has to prove his innocence in this case because he's up against the law. Innocent til proven guilty doesn't count when it's a cop vs. someone.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 7, 2008 -> 01:55 PM) This soft tosser Livan needs to get abused by Thome and Paulie. How come the ball isn't flying out of the Cell this year? Because the hitters have sucked. -
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 7, 2008 -> 01:12 PM) I don't think the question here really is whether Gavin can be successful with a poor K rate. It's just that teams will eventually start getting hits off of him and that, in turn, will lead to potentially disastrous outings. Seeing him pitch last night, I'd imagine his K rate will begin to improve...some of those pitches were absolutely filthy, especially later in the game. And even though his fastball was 89-92, it had some nice movement on it down and in towards righties. Complimenting that his solid change piece and a filthy curve ball and I think Gavin has #2 potential but more likelihood of being a solid 3-4 starter in the future. And that is why he is my fav. Exactly. The guy's got the stuff, I think he eventually as he gets his confidence will raise the k rate and lower the bb rate.

QUOTE (bmags @ May 7, 2008 -> 12:49 PM) I'm getting kind of sick of this coverage still giving credence to Clinton staying in the race. Seeing stuff like "Obama Clinton split Tuesday Primaries" is accurate, but continues to give the impression that she is a viable candidate. As soon as NC was called Obama, and then he won by 14 pt. in a big state, that is the story. That is a death nell. And then in a state where she was up big two weeks ago to only win by 2 pts, and 16,000 votes? I wish they'd stop feeding this narrative that doesn't exist. It reinforces her delusions. Keeps idiots tuned in.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 7, 2008 -> 12:30 PM) I just dont get how Schumacher could go so neon street punk overkill on those movies and think that it would fly. He was going after the young audience (12-16) and that age demographic loved that s***.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 7, 2008 -> 12:08 PM) Kick some tail MB. Bats...we need fear taken from bats. Hey Mark, after Vaz got screwed out of a W his last two starts, my fantasy team could really use a W from you. And so could your team. -
QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ May 7, 2008 -> 12:28 PM) Heh, just to make sure Billy Dee was who I thought he was, I IMDB'd him. His biography opening is awesome... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001850/ "Very good looking African American actor born in New York City with broad..." You just can't argue with Lando.
