QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 7, 2015 -> 07:33 AM) Also, Gasols Twitter feed. His Instagram is great, too.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 6, 2015 -> 12:16 PM) Lets hope he continues to age well!!! Agreed.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 6, 2015 -> 11:48 AM) Apparently not in one with a legendary ballhog. Dude was gimpy in 2012/13 and last year there was no Kobe. Before that, his time with the Lakers and Kobe was outstanding and included two championships. He's a phenomenal player who's aging quite well!

QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 6, 2015 -> 11:03 AM) This is idiotic. It was actually a true statement. Gasol's prime has come and gone, where he never dipped below 50% shooting and peaked at 57% in his best fully healthy season. He's now shooting about the same as last year (actually, worse), but he's playing way more minutes and working the glass and getting blocks in the system. He's a perfect player for any system, but being on a team with other focal points on the roster definitely helps him out - last year with Kobe down the Lakers had f*** all else save Pau.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 6, 2015 -> 11:11 AM) Gasol is an absolute perfect fit for this any offense. Fixed. A versatile big man who sees the floor, blocks shots, and scores at will fits anywhere.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jan 6, 2015 -> 01:41 AM) How the hell did they get so much for Waiters? Wow I don't understand the Thunder trading anything for Waiters, that said, JR Smith is a net negative in the trade, so I see how it made sense in terms of what the cave got back.

When rose plays like rose this team is silly. This five minute run has been amazing basketball.

Hey. Derrick is here.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 07:40 PM) Butler slapped the backboard after the dunk With his dick.

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 07:10 PM) WTF is up with Wednesday?? Mercy. That b**** is tricked out. Guess it'll happen hanging out with that f***ed up family.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 06:57 PM) Reggie Jackson If Reggie Jackson is included in a trade with those turds, the thunder are even dumber than we thought.

Pau wants 60.

So, Let's talk about how the Bulls are already 5 games up on the Cavs... Let's also talk about how good that 24-10 record looks... and how the Bulls once finished a season 72-10.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 11:46 AM) The gameplay is more realistic. I'm not playing a videogame to find out that one of my favorite players broke his ankle in a game I play to have fun. There should be a way to shut off severe injuries. I love tinkering with the rotations for a two week stretch or whatever, but when Joakim Noah breaks his leg in a videogame and I am stuck playing another 60 games of that season just because? A-no thank you.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 07:59 AM) Him and Rich Eisen were the best Sportscenter pairing. Eisen's tribute to him on air yesterday morning was a tear jerker. http://screengrabber.deadspin.com/rich-eis...t-sc-1677442800

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 3, 2015 -> 03:00 AM) Nope, just looked it up, Heists are for all versions of GTAV. Apparently some code on the game has leaked and it points to a Jan. 27th release. Well then, I guess I know what I'm picking up today. Thanks for the heads up. Zoom, just get it. Let's resurrect our Bulls clan.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jan 3, 2015 -> 02:18 AM) Just got this, do you focus on My Player or Franchise more? I got a whole week by myself coming up next week and I am ready to play a lot of PS4 Franchise. I don't care about fake player stuff. Gimme the Bulls, because they're amazing in real life and in that game. Butler's at like 25.5 ppg for me and I no longer focus on padding Rose's stats, which makes for a more realistic and fun game. Oh, and I shut injuries off.

QUOTE (South Sider @ Jan 3, 2015 -> 07:33 PM) That is an interesting point. Any guesses as to how Q would have handled younger Kane? Perhaps, though, during Kanes first years, there wouldn't have been as much of a win-now mentality because the Hawks were still building. As such, defensive responsibility might not have been at such a premium as it is now. Then again, this could just be how Q is, young rebuilding team or not. It's interesting to ponder. "Hey this guy was the 1st overall pick. I better play him since the last time anyone heard from me I was getting a DUI somewhere." Yup. That's what he'd do. He'd play the kid. -
At least he can do a backflip.

QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Jan 1, 2015 -> 01:12 PM) "LaRoche is in what I like to call the "harvesting" phase of one's career. He has mastered the art of selectively pulling the ball in the air, and is going to ride that skill off into the sunset. Pitchers will eventually find and consistently attack his ever-increasing holes as his physical gifts fade, and that will be that. He is, however, moving to extremely fertile soil, a place where Paul Konerko, a similar to slightly lesser offensive player at a similar stage, in my opinion, was able to be extremely productive in his age 35 and 36 seasons. Take a look at a comparison of the field-sector park factors for LaRoche's old and new parks to get a sense for the infusion of youth his offensive game could experience this season....White Sox, Adam LaRoche, two years, $25 million, great value. Those words, at this moment in time, comfortably belong in the same sentence." http://m.espn.go.com/mlb/story?storyId=12104202 So, at 34 Paul Konerko was a lesser version of 34 year-old Adam LaRoche? I find that fascinating since Paul Konerko had a .977 OPS at age 34 and his CAREER OPS is within 10 points of Adam LaRoche's best season. F*ck that sentence and f*ck that article. They're both white first basemen. The comparisons end there.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 1, 2015 -> 10:49 PM) He got distracted by Ovechkin whining for the slashing call, but yeah. Something about that should have made the goal not count. Who wouldn't have been distracted?
