QUOTE(ParkerBear7 @ Feb 9, 2008 -> 01:01 AM) I guess I will have to wait and see. I have the HD service will Directv but will not pay the $ for the MLB. Wife says I can only get either the NFL ticket or MLB Extra inngs and I have to go with the Bears cause I can atleast whatch a few SOX games on WGN superstation. 162 Sox games > 16 Bears games.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 07:41 PM) I wish there was a biggest gainers club cause I really want to gain at least 20 pounds before the summer... (football related) I keep looking but I just can't seem to find ANYONE who's trying to stop you.

QUOTE(Brian @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 10:18 PM) No thanks. Javon Walker sucks and is a clubhouse cancer. He doesn't suck. He's been injured, but he's one of the top WR in football when healthy and is still young. Funny how Brett Favre loves the guy yet he's a clubhouse cancer... where'd you get that bunk?

Putting it in savings and eventually using it toward the downpayment for a new car... I've got the toys already so we'll be practical.

This got me jazzed when I heard it on the radio today. Supposedly all Sox (and Cubs) games will be in HD this year, whether on WCIU, Comcast Sportsnet, WGN, CSN +. Supposedly the Chicago area is dedicated to delivering all baseball games in the highest quality. I about creamed when I heard this...

Javon Walker is being released. Um, yes Bears, yes. f***ing let Berrian walk and pick up Walker.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 03:50 PM) underwear? "Excuse me Miss, do these effectively hide my thunder?"

This deal is finally official per the Score.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 01:17 PM) Whoah...what is going on here? I need more details. http://tinyurl.com/2kum8p UPDATE: http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmem...es_to_war_w.php Just more of the Clinton's trying to play up the little woman (or in this case women) against the world idea. They want to call themselves the underdog so badly.

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 10:10 AM) I actually thought those were more flash-backs to some time after Oceanic 815 went down, but before those people came to the island. I wouldn't think so. Why would the first guy have such an awful reaction to it if it was just some plane that went down? Maybe you are right, maybe they were compelled to get involved? I guess we'll find out. I just don't see that dude reacting in that way unless something really bad had happened on the island and it triggered his memory. Plus, the status quo for this season has been flash-forwards, not flash-backs.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 10:25 AM) Levi's should be the only blue jeans made, period. Sorry, the Kenneth Coles I have on right now draw multiple compliments each time I wear them. I'll take the boost to the ego anytime.

I really dislike it when a campaign is completely altered to include the word "change" just because a better candidate uses that word in his better campaign.

QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 09:20 AM) Why Ruutu hasn't been on the first two lines all season is mind boggling. I think once Toews is back (Sunday?) you'll see the return of the Ruutu-Toews-Kane line. Havlat's obviously too concerned about his shoulder to get in there and go 100%. He needs to be shut down. -
QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 09:34 AM) I thought last night's was pretty interesting. I think you needed to be a bigger fan to enjoy it though. It was pretty solid, though I'm not a huge fan of creating even more questions before answers, but that's the status pro quo of Lost isn't it? haha. Something bad is obviously going to go down considering how negatively effected all these folks who are after Ben are in the "flash forwards."

sig updated this morning.

Get me Crisp, start him in CF and leadoff... put Swish at 1st, Quentin in left, and move pauly for spects. bam bing, this looks better (and assuming Fields eventually hits 6 not 7) CF Crisp SS Cabrera 1B Swisher DH Thome RF Dye C Pierzynski 3B Fields LF Quentin 2B Richar/Uribe/Ramirez than this does SS Cabrera CF Swisher DH Thome RF Dye 1B Konerko C Pierzynski 3B Fields LF Quentin 2B Richar/Uribe/Ramirez

I'll be in #1 again (need to avenge a porous season that followed an unlucky draft) and obviously the keeper league.

I've never understood the venomous hatred for Curt Schilling. Sure, he's outspoken, sure, he's crazy-religious, sure, he might speak up when not needed. But he's always been a gamer, its not his fault the media blew the bloody sock out of proportion. He's taken the right stance on many issues including steroids and that weird ass device that checks Umpires on strike zones. Again, he can be a pain, but he's always been fun to watch, he's done it the right way, and he's a solid pitcher who at one point was one of the league's best. The game would be lucky to have more like him.

Khabibulin stepped it up last night and looked like a #1 goaltender being paid 6.5 mill per season. If the Hawks want to hang onto any SLIM chance of competing for a playoffs spot this year, Bulin has to be at his best. I have a lot of doubt that he could step it up considering he'd lost 10 in a row before last night... but if he does, we still have a chance with Toews close. -
Since I will be weighing in Friday mornings, I'll post that I didn't lose an extra pound in the last few days. Still rocking 199. Next week my goal is to be at 195 or below.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 7, 2008 -> 03:35 PM) Best defensive 3B in baseball + .300 AVG + 25 HR + 100 RBI = Joe Crede = Best in baseball .300 OBP maybe.

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Feb 7, 2008 -> 03:18 PM) Don't get him started Steve, this could go on for another 3 pages. Now that you mention it though, I could go for a stadium dog/brat right about now. God damn it man, the season is still 2 months away! I still can't believe they got rid of dollar dog thursdays last year. I could smack the f*** who thought that would be a good idea.

QUOTE(J-MAN @ Feb 7, 2008 -> 10:01 AM) I definitely take the red line when I am going to weekend games from home but on weeknights I work a few miles from there and makes no sense to drive home and take the el + my son and I traditionally stop at Home Run Inn for pizza before games - makes taking el impossible. You and your son should just eat the dogs in the park!
