  1. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 02:56 PM) Lalime getting the start on Friday. Sammy is also going to get back on the ice, but apparently on the 4th line with Burrish and Lapointe. I don't like Samsonov on the 4th line like that. Either keep him in the press box, or put him with other skill players, where he can really excel. I bet ol' Dale's been blowing up phones trying to give Khabby away. Lalime is a stud and right now is the better tender, and that 6 mill contract of bulin's needs to go. You know who I was just thinking would be fun to stick on the third line and is looking for a job? ONE CAPTAIN HAIRDO HIMSELF http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/players/55 Oh, if only I were in charge! Warning: Shirtless pictures of Tony Amonte and Doug Weight may cause you to become aroused.
  2. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 03:12 PM) Okay saying is if we do indeed get Hunter and with Uribe coming back, the only open spot for a leadoff hitter is LF.. Scott Podsednik. Yup. It'll happen.
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 12:17 AM) Say what you will about the Bulls, but the only team in the NBA younger than them is the Hawks, and it's not by much. So yes, they are still very young, but with all the experience they have, youth is no excuse. That number is greatly scewed by Joakim Noah, Tyrus, JamesOn Curry, Thabo Sefolosha, and Aaron Gray, only one of whom actually sees solid minutes. However, still a very good point.
  4. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 09:52 PM) Thanks for not starting Leclaire, Columbus. Good win at home, let's keep the good play up this weekend. My thoughts exactly. We'll take it.
  5. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 01:27 AM) See my sig? DO NOT WANT Ha, yeah, that's a damn good point there.
  6. Miguel Cabrera's numbers suggest he needs no motivation. Juan Uribe's numbers suggest he needs motivation. huge difference there.
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) Per Olney: If this is the asking price, we have absolutley NOTHING to offer. I knew we had nothing to offer before all of the obvious information about his price came out. It's kind of a "no s***" moment.
  8. Coulda been worse. Could have gone with Mike Williams who is out of a job right now like the consensus of the board wanted. Yeah, Braylon would have been nice, though. You know, since we had Thomas Jones already.
  9. Christ I just can't imagine a team that is already showing its age with slow sluggers adding a 33 year old centerfielder coming off a career year in what I could only imagine would be a 5 year deal. I get it, KW wants to compete in 2008, but a patchwork shot at .500 is going to cripple us for years to come. We should be unloading age, not bringing it on.
  10. Levine just stated that the White Sox are going to throw everything economically possible at Torii Hunter.
  11. I picked up Priest Holmes for a spot start this week to be funny. How about a 170 yard, 3 TD running and 85 yard, 2 TD receiving for the day. It's 2003, right?
  12. The Bulls will be fine. In fantasy basketball news, I just pulled off Richard Jefferson for Amare Stoudemire. My team now has the sickest three players in the PF, C, C spots, as well as a well-rounded group elsewhere that shall not be defeated this season. PG Allen Iverson SG Josh Howard G TJ Ford SF Gerald Wallace PF Al Jefferson F Damien Wilkins C Dwight Howard C Amare Stoudemire Util Ronnie Brewer Util Brendan Haywood Daniel Gibson John Salmons Raja Bell Sure, Amare's going to miss a game now and then because of the knee, but man, this team cannot be touched; all facets of the game are covered.
  13. That ad campaign is simply marvelous. Sure, its not the best ad campaign, but its something new out of Blackhawk marketing and they are trying to put faces with names. Such a breath of fresh air.
  14. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 02:14 PM) Sez the guy with a wrestling avatar... that's what i was thinking.
  15. Candidates Survey Neat little quiz that aligns your views with the candidates who match them. Since I actually care about politics, it just confirmed my decision, but for those of you out there unsure, its pretty useful.
  16. QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 11:11 AM) I appreciate the passion but don't understand the freakout. They really had no choice if they didn't trade for another SS. There was no viable in-house alternative. Yeah, ok. I'd rather have anyone on this team than Juan Uribe. He has eaten himself to worthless and I just can't handle another 162 with him as our SS.
  17. OH DEAR GOD THEY PICKED UP THE OPTION according to espn 1000 im going to kill myself.
  18. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 08:38 AM) Bruce Levine reported Monday on ESPN 1000 that it is Adam Everett. I forgot about this due to the fact he thought Crawford was 30 and that there is a big trade market for Jason Marquis. If we go out of our way to acquire Adam Everett I am boycotting 2008 White Sox baseball.
  19. OH MY GOD THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN. I just knew this kind of BS would come up, like we have what Florida would really want. Kenny: "Here's a vast downgrade from Miguel and a couple of crappy pitching prospects. Can we have the best young hitter in the game?" Florida: "No." See my sig, I predicted this would go on so I prepared you all for it.

  21. Looks like he's already got it set up just in case the Pats go undefeated so he has an excuse. I am so incredibly sick of the '72 Dolphins I could vomit on my own pants. On my own pants!
  22. freaking excellent. there's nothing wrong with getting a call right.
  23. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 09:47 AM) Huh? Have you ever had to deal with an attorney, or a recruiter, for example? They aren't in charge of you - you pay them a percentage of a judgement or a salary gained, and they work FOR you. That is what a sports agent is - a combination attorney/recruiter. They are the expert agent for the player. He pays Boras and puts 100% belief in him that a deal will be worked out. Yes, Boras works for A-Rod, but A-Rod pays him because he believes in him.
  24. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Nov 2, 2007 -> 09:08 PM) Make the deal 0-2 after a bad 11 pt loss to terrible Philly team. Deng can go 10 pts, 4-12 shooting in 35 minutes and a non factor he is worth any deal to get Kobe. out the wanna be stars. 0-3!
