QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 02:55 PM) Good control. Striking out guys. Not allowing runs. Hot June. Velocity consistently at 92-94 (according to BHAM). Going deep into games. Getting big hammer over. Wow, he might be back, seeing that velocity hitting 94 is huge... eh? I'd love to get him up to the bigs and see if some of the big time potential can be realized.

QUOTE(striker62704 @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 02:54 PM) If you look at the teams interested in Sox players, it appears as though KW is putting them up against eachother. Boston & NYY ATL & NYM LAA & SEA SD & LAD & AZ I think KW is running up the price. I think LAD and AZ have the best prospects. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=381&p=9&a...p;rc=4&ai=a This is a GREAT post.

Sorry, just want those more educated in what he's been doing to give me the lowdown... I hear good things.

You know what? For as much as people like to bash Kenny lately, I have nothing but complete confidence that he'll get a very acceptable package for Buehrle...

Who will you most blame for MB being traded?

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 02:37 PM) All of these threads are a joke. It's called 05 hangover. They'll be gone soon enough. -
QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 01:30 AM) ESPN's reporting that Oden's physical showed a bulging back disk and still showed a lingering injury in his wrist. maybe hell fall to the bulls

QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 12:12 PM) They like MB as long as a bag of balls is all they have to give for him. Get real! Is anyone surprised? -
Yankees Interested in Buehrle/Dye?
Steve9347 replied to Steve9347's topic in Sox Baseball Headquarters
Agreed, anything for JD would be a plus... -
QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 10:41 AM) No doubt about it, I agree. I third that motion.

Seattle or Arizona Interested in Buehrle?
Steve9347 replied to Al Lopez's Ghost's topic in Sox Baseball Headquarters
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 10:39 AM) Buehrle straight up for Chris Young. do it I'd rather shop around then do that... yes, Young > Javier Vazquez... that trade might wind up hurting us, but you have to exhaust all options before settling for that. As we get closer to the deadline, untouchbales such as Ellisbury/Billingsly/Pelfrey/Saltalamacchia/Milledge/Buccholz sometimes magically find a way of becoming available as other teams suffer injuries or react to moves by competition. KW has the power here, though those in the Boston media would tell you otherwise. He can let the price of bidding go up and wait to act until July 31st at 3pm or whatever time the deadline is official. This team is much more in need of a package of young players than a straight up deal where we throw all of our bread in a basket we once owned before. -
Anyone who thinks the Brewers, whom already have a solid pitching staff especially with Gallardo entering the rotation, would want to deal Braun or the aforementioned Gallardo in a Buehrle deal are kidding themselves. I'm sure they want to add a reliever (a lefthander) to their corps, and are probably looking at Matt Thornton. >>> on a side note, I too would take Corey Hart for Mark Buehrle in a heartbeat, though I'd want an average pitching prospect or even a guy like Turnbow back (as stated previously)... However, teams competing for their division title don't often give up solid ML relievers, they acquire them, so forget Turnbow.

QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 10:05 AM) So, does Contreras want to go back to NYC? That might keep him from waiving his no-trade clause. What is Minaya's fascination with over-paying aging, injury-prone pitchers who no longer have their best stuff? Methinks he's not as good a GM as the media portrays him as. It's all about the El Duque factor...

QUOTE(max power @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 03:37 AM) Did you steal them all or something? wtf? no... i just have updated versions of some of them or realized that id never watch some (bournes) again, and was drunk and wanted to do some trading... i just sold them on amazon and bought Casino Royale through there, so /thread.

Phil Rogers Details Kenny's Failures
Steve9347 replied to SadChiSoxFanOptimist's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Phil Rogers needs to go away. -
I REALLY don't see the mets giving up Pelfrey in a Contreras deal. If they do I will laugh... I'll take any of their top prospects for him... If there is life to this story, KW had better make it happen fast.

I think I say this on behalf of most of the people here...
Steve9347 replied to danman31's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Danman, You do not speak on behalf of me... they may suck, but it's not like they've been s*** forever and haven't given us anything to cheer for in the past. They'll have this ship righted and overhauled soon enough, until then, feel free to turn in your Sox Fan card and give it to a real fan. Love, Steve -
Well, the current game needs to end... it'd be interesting to see MB shipping off this evening.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 01:00 PM) There isn't a more annoying subject matter in all of sports except maybe steroid speculation. If you don't want to play, don't... you don't have to be a dick about it.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 01:30 PM) I think the price starts at Bucholtz and one of Ellsbury/Lowrie plus Willy Mo Pena. That is just my take. my dream scenario.
