  1. I just see the market as insane right now, with the steep price the Marlins paid for f***ing Jorge Julio!
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 11:44 AM) Unless you're willing to move MacDougal you're not getting anything from Philly. Well... I'm not! Which of our relievers could garner interest, or would it only be Mac or Bobby?
  3. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 11:36 AM) I'll agree to disagree on this. I don't see him as our CF of the future. I also don't see half of what the rest of you see in him, aside from his defensive abilities. But I also like Podsednik, and got hung out to dry around here because of such an opinion. If I remember correctly, it was because I obviously knew nothing about baseball for liking Pods and Erstad > BAAAnderson. Pods has a good week and you pat yourself on the back. If the season were 6 games long, then you'd be set, however, there's that other set of 156 you must worry about, now. I'd love to see Pods continue this throughout the season, but only time will tell.
  4. So I'm surfing ESPN.com and notice that the Phils are 1-6, mainly because of their struggling bullpen. We have some arms IN THE MINORS right now that could definitely help the Phillies, and we're one of the few franchises that can gloat about it. The law of supply and demand says that the Phillies might be willing to overpay for a character like Boone Logan, and no might be the time to act while they can still save their season. Let me state, first and foremost, that I think the Darin Erstad/Brian Anderson combo is better than Aaron Rowand, I am not in ANY WAY advocating for the return of the great "CRASH." However, if we could get someone like SS Adrian Cardenas along with a C Carlos Ruiz, who would be a good solution vs. LHP if we could pry him away (depending on Toby Hall's recovery) then I don't see why a phone call would not be made.
  5. QUOTE(hi8is @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 11:18 PM) 11 - 11 with a 4.5 era 1.31 whip some breakout That's what I'm thinking... wtf?
  6. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 09:52 AM) I agree with the guy who said she should raft her ass back to Cuba. No s***, now she's going to take Jose's money and leave him? Welcome to the US, Mr. Contreras.
  7. You would think they could find a better way to serve them... She got what she wanted, to the US, husband with millions, now she's leaving him. That b****.
  8. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 01:02 AM) I'm trying to get through Stephen King's Dark Tower series. I'm about finished with the first book, but I'm not impressed at all yet. Some of his scenes seem pretty "hollywood" if that makes any sense. But it was pretty badass when he left that town and the way King depicted how the Gunglinger can manhandle that gun. I've snuck a peak at book 2 and it looks better. Book 2 is the s***. Hang in there, "The Gunslinger" is the weakest... I'm currently reading "The World is Flat," by Thomas L. Friedman. You all should read it.
  9. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 06:28 PM) The Sox' #1/#2/#3 starters vs the A's #1/#4/#5 with everyone in the lineup healthy? Anything less than 2 out of 3 is unacceptable. Voice of reason.
  10. Ozzie Guillen... haven't heard that name in a while.
  11. I just find it funny that they've managed to try to copy Mac OS but still came up short.
  12. RIP, but both of those comics were lame...
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 7, 2007 -> 11:11 AM) No they haven't, and I didn't even think it was possible to give somebody higher than a 99, which is why this is such a big deal. This is the biggest news since the Cuban Missle Crisis IMO. Agreed.
  14. QUOTE(bardsroom attendant @ Apr 8, 2007 -> 05:05 PM) Good job Jermaine. I think the idea of having a premier African-American player on each team wear #42 on the 15th is fantastic. (I myself got a Dye #23 jersey this year as a ode to the 60th anniversary of Black Americans in the game.) However, I think what the Dodgers are doing by having their whole team wear #42 is too much and having random white and Latino players running around wearing it can trivialize it. Even if the thought is sincere, and I'm sure it is for most guys, it's just a bit much in my opinion. well, they are the dodgers... so if any team was going to do so, it makes sense it'd be them. hope they put the players names on there though!
  15. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 12:28 PM) I would like an outfield with Andruw Jones and Ichiro Suzuki in it. Maybe Jones in left, BA in center, and Ichiro in right? Then we can have Fields play 3rd and get a middle infielder for Crede that can handle the bat and bat 2nd. RF Ichiro Suzuki 2B Chase Utley DH Jim Thome 1B Paul Konerko LF Andruw Jones 3B Josh Fields C AJ Pierzynski CF Brian Anderson SS Juan Uribe while you're at signing both ichiro and jones, why don't we keep the cream dream going and "trade" for chase utley... lol. We won't sign either of them, let alone one.
  16. That's what I get for ever making plans...
  17. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 3, 2007 -> 06:51 PM) In order to be mayor of the Queen City, you have to be able to throw like a girl. ROFL
  18. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 02:13 AM) Is it just me or did everyone look incredibly old in this meh episode? Everyone's been looking incredibly old this entire season, but aside from JD, Turk, and Carla, everyone was looking pretty bad. Perry with the shaved head was a nice change. But did anyone else notice his random shaved head about a month ago during the "clip show" with no explanation? Was this an error? My wife and I were wondering about the saved head for sometime, and then, 4 episodes later he actually shaves the bad b****. ...and what about JD's Baby-Momma? When's that to re-surface, or will it?

    The Office

That episode was absolutely hilarious. I loved when Andy got out of his anger management class and finished just like he did in college, "on time." Then he's greeted by Dwight with pepper spray... and the look on Dwight's face when Toby is confiscating his weapons!
  20. We need a strong and long outing for Javy.
  21. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 08:37 AM) The funny thing is that the press conditions at Wrigley are far and away the worst in sports but the shrine shall not be dissed. Exactly. What a bunch of whiners. I love how the point is made that the broadcasters and scorekeepers "still got the prime seats." Well, no s***, they kind of are a huge part of things, unlike writers who eat free popcorn and b****.
  22. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 08:54 PM) You know what really grinds my gears? People who don't like the Hawk. That's what. ^^ Yes.
