  1. When I read that, I just hear Peter Griffen calmly saying, "gay."
  2. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 04:13 PM) Nope. I'm not thinking anything s***ty about someone's death. I'll leave that for the scumbags. I didn't talk any s*** about her, but I see why others would. She tossed plenty of ammo out there. I'm calm. I didn't say you did. I commented on your lack of class for the edit on my post. I'm chill. No need for pills. Edit on your post? It was a joke and it gets done all the time. Anna Nicole was an idiot who married a billionaire and told the world it was out of love, and now she just abandoned her newborn daughter because she was too selfish to get her life in gear. I couldn't care less if I belittle her life, because she could have done anything with everything she was given just based on her genetics, yet she was a waste...
  3. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 03:15 PM) It's always best to show the lack of class you have, yourself. Good job. I did, in a previous post, say RIP and my thoughts go out to her newborn daughter... but take the high-road all you want... what people are typing is what you're thinking anyway. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 03:34 PM) Naa. It wasn't his. I don't have a problem with folks talking s*** about her. She brought it on. Talking s*** about her kid though.. that's pretty pussy. You just talked as much s*** about Anna in this post as I did in this entire thread, yet you tried to call me out. I did not and would not say anything bad about her daughter, that's just messed up. Take a chill pill.
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 03:10 PM) Yep.. not at all disappointed at the level of class in this thread Anna's life. Fixed that for ya...
  5. Trimspa's WONDERFUL spokeswoman RIP Anna, my thoughts go out to her newborn daughter.
  6. QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 11:55 AM) Or even "caliber" for our American readers. That's what I get for going to Northern Michigan University for a year!
  7. The Gold Glove Award is a joke. However, Uribe was far from a "Gold Glove-calibre" shortstop last season...
  8. QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 11:13 AM) MBINAA that's the first thing I thought of when posting this poll...
  9. QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 10:48 AM) It's been over thirty years since Wilbur Wood trotted out to the mound. I believe old timers will be reminiscing as Charlie takes the fifth starter spot. Oz would love the chance to have a different look and something unique. I vomit towards knuckleballers...
  10. QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 01:47 AM) I have mixed feelings about some of the newer GMs. care to elaborate?
  11. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 09:38 AM) Its going to be Garland, he gets better every year. That 4.51 era sure was a considerable step up from the 3.50 he posted in 2005!
  12. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 09:31 AM) I also don't think Thome is any younger this year. You sure about that?
  13. Currently the voting sits at 3,2,3,3, with Vasquez the guy at 2... now that's balance!
  14. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 08:42 AM) adding up the rest over the winter, with the impending free agency, and the new workout program that has been talked about, I am going to go with Mark Buehrle. I would love that. If he can go back to his 3.50ish era ways, this team is going to look very good.
  15. QUOTE(shoota @ Feb 7, 2007 -> 05:18 PM) Pretty gay offseason. What? Not every offseason can bring in Javier Vasquez and Jim Thome (look where that got us...) I'm sure you said the same when all we did was bring in some Japanese 2B, an aging starter in El Duque, traded El Caballo for Scotty Pods, and brought in a "nut job" in AJ Pierzynski. Sometimes its the little moves that make you better, and I can't remember a time when I was more excited about a collection of young arms on the South Side. Sure, they aren't all going to work out, but this Spring Training and season are going to be incredibly entertaining, because of this offseason. KW was just trying to stay ahead of a ridiculous curve by acquiring youth, and I'm excited about that.
  16. On a team loaded with starters, who's our ace? My pick is Contreras, though that could change if Javy can rock and roll.
  17. QUOTE(daa84 @ Feb 7, 2007 -> 11:00 PM) the vazquez stuff is legit...easily had the best peripherals of any of our pitchers last year, and toward the end of the year his ERA and success started to reflect taht more and more....im glad we dumped freddy isntead of him, but i know im in the minority on that one I was always in the mindset that dealing Freddy was a better idea that Vasquez. If the Count can stay healthy, Jose Contreras-Javier Vasquez is a mean 1-2 punch...
  18. I'm officially "Lost"'d out. The show is just trying to add too much storyline to too many characters. I don't give a s*** about Juliet's past (and the story is rather dumb.) Don't know if I'll make the final 15 episodes... Season 1: Great Season 2: Meh Season 3a: booorring Season 3b: not off to a good start
  19. I must say, I and the drunk fellows beside me kinda laughed when that shot went up. It looked like a nice, big, fat c*ck.
  20. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Feb 7, 2007 -> 04:18 PM) Gavin Floyd has the most experience, so if they can make the necessary adjustments to his delivery to make him more consistent, then he has the upper leg. Haeger is always a backup option. Danks, Gio, and Broadway seem to be at least one year away. I think it's safe to say at least one of them will be taking over for MB in 08.
  21. The Cubs were dead last in the worst division in the Majors last year... that's a lot to put on the shoulders of Alfonso Soriano (and freaking Ted Lilly and the even-worse Jason Marquis)
  22. Gavin Floyd prediction: 13-11, 4.34 era
  23. My money is on Floyd, with Haeger and Danks the runners-up.
