  1. QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Dec 9, 2006 -> 03:26 PM) Some of you need to get a damn life. Do we all approve of Mark's wife? Or the car he drives? He gets paid to pitch, he could hate every White Sox fan alive if he wanted to. He doesn't, he's said he likes it here and doesn't want to play in STL, so why don't we all just stay out of something that is none of our damn business. Some of you talking about an advertisement, yeah, being invited to a private suite, I'm sure he really told that guy to upload that pic all over the internet. And I would lmao if it was some backward old school Sox hat (EDIT: See above already beat me to it) I can tell you one thing, I don't approve of that sig... I can hardly tell what the H is going on there!
  2. Regardless of whether we sign him or someone else does, Jermaine Dye is going to get PAID next year.
  3. Had to go with El Duque... I'll never forget that inning against the Red Sox. Buehrle's save will be remembered for quite some time too....
  4. I don't know, it feels odd that Freddy is gone... He won some big games for us, and was a key for the Chicago White Sox 2005 World Series Championship. Freddy, good luck in Philly!
  5. QUOTE(whtsox13 @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 01:35 PM) Dont' get too excited. It's not for all Season Ticket Holders. It's only for scout seats, suite holders, and club level. Only the premium seat holders get the gift. being a season ticket holder for over 20 years gets you nothing. except a world championship and a team that consistently competes.
  6. I remember when Gavin Floyd first made the jump to the Majors, I picked him up for my fantasy baseball squad because Sporting News said he would be "this season's Mark Prior." Floyd was untouchable two years ago. Two season's of ERA's over 6 have changed that story... but obviously the talent has to be there somewhere.
  7. Foulke is pretty much done. Always injured, inconsistent, etc etc since that magical season in 04
  8. QUOTE(iamshack @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 10:21 PM) Someone has to be the voice of reason. Look, I am not big on rich guys whining. But Gil Meche just got $45 million. Enough said. Alot of teams are going to regret their actions of the past month. Let's be glad we aren't going to be one of them. 55 million
  9. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 21, 2006 -> 02:54 PM) best. show. ever. I've seen every episode 2-3 times at least. ditto
  10. A-Rod has gotten a raw deal in NYY, but i doubt he moves...
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 10:45 AM) I'd prefer Santana out of the 2. as would i...
  12. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 10:22 AM) Baldelli weighs about 150 pounds and probably can't bench press 200 pounds. If he is a roider, he's doing a pretty bad job. Additionally, steroid injuries typically affect highly utilized muscle (hamstring), as opposed to the ACL, but Gagne might throw that theory down the trash. listed at 200 lbs there, Chief. Have you ever seen him play?
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 10:05 AM) Tru already has his hands on him, you watch. trade deadline came and went though... looks like an offseason move, though I do know that Miramontes was part of that deal between you and tru, and he'll be a FA... so you might want to ask tru to re-sign him for the ridiculous 20 mill he wants.
  14. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 09:59 AM) beat cha to it Steve-o well, not really, i posted it, and then you edited your post rock! you bastage... now you have to give me Can Corn, just waive him... I would be ecstatic if Rocco were on the Sox next season...
  15. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 09:56 AM) I see it as .339 in 2006 .326 in 04 and 03 as do I however, last season he batted .339 with a .368 OBP in the LEADOFF SPOT...
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 09:48 AM) Tampa's asking price is insane for Rocco. From the sounds of it, they'd want two top prospects like Fields and Broadway. I'm sure that could be talked down, and I believe when healthy Rocco is > than Crawford.
  17. This is one guy that I think would be PERFECT on the South Side... if he stays healthy, he'd be a steal, no pun intended. Really, I'd happily have the Sox deal a starter or Anderson and change for Rocco, he produces when healthy, and is still young. admit it, he looks hot in Sox' gear...
  18. if we sign bonds, i dont tune in next season. book it.
  19. i for one want nothing to do with wells... he'd be a one and done type player, and i highly doubt the sox would pony up the cash to keep him.
  20. download an adobe PDF printer driver... this would install an new "printer" on your computer, then when you go to print the document, instead of printing it, select "Adobe PDF" which will then produce a PDF of the selected document instead of printing it. unfortunately, they only have this for Mac, but here is one you can use a free trial for the PC, though i have not used it myself. PDF Printer Driver: PC
  21. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 09:30 AM) would A-rod play third or SS? The middle of our order would be quite hard to get through. But our order is already good, id rather get pitching 3rd. from everything i hear, A-Rod has bulked up and lost too much of his mobility to be a valid option at short... though I would prefer him at shortstop.
  22. QUOTE(Drew @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 06:09 PM) Joe Crede is likely a 25-100 guy who is an elite fielder in the American League and one we probably won't be able to afford to resign because of Scott Boras. Is A-Rod worth that plus a proven starting pitcher? I don't think so. I'm all for trading if it would help, but this is a lot better for the Yankees than it is for us. you are so off its not even funny. A-Rod is the second best hitter in baseball save Pujols... just because he has one off year (oh yeah, .290, 35, 121 how horrible) doesnt mean hes not worth two impending free agents... in his worst year, he was still a better hitter than joe in his best. (.283, 30, 94)... you can apologize right now
