    Entourage

Let me just reiterate how much I love this show. Last night's episode "Vegas Baby, Vegas" was another in a long line of ridiculously good episodes. Their mixing of music and scene is amazingly well done. This show is nothing special in terms of having something to say, but is just really, really fun. Last night, when Drama came out of no where and clocked Seth Green's buddy in the face, followed by a fade in of Rob Zombie's "Dead Girl Superstar" was just awesome. I adore Entourage, and if you haven't seen an episode, the first and second seasons are available on DVD, and the third is On Demand.
  4. QUOTE(joeynach @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 04:16 PM) I didn't catch the whole thing becuase I tuned in at the last second but I thought I heard the update guy say Crede's back is still bothering him and he wont play tonight and he might go to the DL. Anyone else hear this or have any info? he actually said that crede will play tonight, and its uribe who could end up on the DL.
  5. a mod should pin this so people can see the tracker.
  6. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 01:35 PM) What do you say we see just how futile it is? I'll do my best nostrodamus impression predicting these games without looking at pitcher matchups or anything like that and we'll see how it shakes out. I'll take a shot, too. btw, socal angels suck. 7. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 02:24 PM) Since this was my first interview for a "real job", just wondering what the normal time (if there is one) to hear back following an interview. By all accounts it went great as I interviewed with three different people and all of them said they would be in contact with me and were impressed. Also, I sent two of them a thank you email this afternoon and was wondering if that was the proper thing to do as well. aboz, it sounds like you did everything by the book. I graduated in December and finished an internship in April. You can expect to hear something within a few weeks, but do not be discouraged if you do not get the position. One word of advice. I went on probably 7 interviews. The first three, I did not get offered. The fourth, I got offered only to find out a week later that the position was being put on hold. The final three all offered positions to me. Don't feel you have to take the first offer you get. Had I done so, I would not have ended up as happy as I am now. Good luck to you and your job search, it's not the most fun thing to do, but when you get one, you'll be very happy.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 12:16 PM) This thread has been as tempting to me as a Snickers is to a fat kid. This is all I'll say about Pods in this thread: he needs to pick his game up, and play better and smarter. word. ps, 2000th post.
  9. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 09:31 AM) ALCS Game 2 Rematch. I am going to the game as well, just like the ALCS Game 2. So far this year I am 0-2 at Sox games, hopefully that gets turned around. that had better turn around!
  10. In this thread, I will be tracking this seemingly impossible stretch of games. Aside from the 4-game set against the Royals, every other team is a Wild Card/Playoff contender. Good luck, White Sox. I'm hoping for at least 15 wins in this stretch... Bold is home games. 11. The Twins just straight up know how to scout pitching...
  12. I am officially over the Scott Podsednik obsession. Sure, he's a nice player, but his leadoff skills have dropped, he can't play defense, and as fast as he is, he's no longer a guarantee to steal a base. I will always love Pods for 2005, but if in 2007 the White Sox went another direction, I would not shed a tear.
  13. QUOTE(The Critic @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 09:30 AM) I think I'd go XM too, if only for the MLB package. I'm still a while away from even considering pay radio, though. exactly. at this point, the only reason i would pay for radio is for some decent rock stations (Chicago really doesn't have one)... but I am satisfied with local access to sports talk and of course, local sports teams...
  14. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 04:01 PM) Here's the FInal Product..... you need some bleacher seating behind the restaurant IMO.. stack it high like in Miller Park.
  15. The Cards are notorious for pimping their players when they shouldn't be... I'm sure it was some obscure stat that shouldn't be bothered with.
  16. Now, it is time to be excited about Javier Vazquez in a White Sox uniform. Watching him be greeted by Ozzie and co. after the 8th was a true sign that he'd become "part of the team." Look for me to get on a roll.
  17. I've always enjoyed Stern, but am not about to start paying for radio.
  18. that's why I'm glad I don't bother with AOL. So many people think they need to keep paying all that money for their e-mail or screen name... aol is a crock of spiff. QUOTE(SouthsideNorthsideFan @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 09:00 AM) That's not at all uncommon for many companies. They don't search out whether you're dead or not. All she had to do was tell the credit card company to stop payment, and they'd take care of it. This was just another case of poor customer relations, not a problem with AOL charging a dead man. Nice way to grab headlines there, StL Post-Dispatch... hmm, maybe you did not read the story. she did tell her credit card to stop payments, the company said they needed a letter from aol that she waited 6 months to be sent.
  19. man, Buehrle's ERA is 4.74... damn did he have a rough stretch...
  20. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 05:55 PM) I've said it before and I'll say it again, Jeremy Reed. He hit .400 in AA, and now the Mariners have a future Ted Williams. Meanwhile all we got for him was a starter that pitched 8 shutout innings in Game 4 of the World Series. I really hope Kenny learns from his mistakes, and never trades another prospect from our fantastic farm system. What are you talking about?!?! Give the guy some time! You guys are dogging him right after he goes 8 innings with 2 hits against and 13k's!! wtf?
