  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:25 PM) Exactly, the only thing that worries me is his switching from the NL to the AL in the middle of the season. Over his 8 year career he's played for 3 different NL teams and finally becomming a good every day player when finally landing with the Brewers in '03 at the age of 30. Could he handle the American League? better than Anderson, and D better than Mack... it's an upgrade, and that's all we can ask for. Plus, you wouldn't have to deal Anderson or BMac in this deal.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:18 PM) He is far superior to Mack defensively, the guy can play both RF and CF well with a terrific arm and good range. He'd be a second leadoff hitter at the bottom of the lineup (not much power but a very high OBP and above average BA). Brady Clark really is the best fit of any name that has been thrown you there yet. if his defense is this good... im all for bring him to the south side. im going to cards/brew on SAT, so i will scout him... ha. im also going to the sox THURS, FRI, and SUNDAY... this weekend will rule QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:22 PM) He's signed through next year, he makes $3M this year and will make $3.8M next year. The guy is right handed and is 33. Have you ever seen a better fit? he's perfect.
  3. Sean Tracey Promoted to Chicago; Cliff Politte to the DL By Jason Gage Soxtalk.com The Chicago White Sox placed reliever Cliff Politte on the 15 day disabled list prior to Wednesday’s game due to soreness in his shoulder. Politte, a key cog to last year’s strong bullpen, has struggled mightily in 06; posting a 7.40 ERA in 16 appearances. The White Sox will replace Politte with AAA starter Sean Tracey, who will move into the bullpen in Chicago...Click Here for More On Politte and Tracey
  4. ...from Gammon's Insider blog today I like Clark, and I think he would do well... but is he MUCH better than Mackowiak defensively? I'm not sure...
  5. personally, i was one of the few who advocated a deal for him in the off season as insurance for anderson. id love to see him here, 5 tools, and just figuring it out again. and he can steal up 6 runs in the 7th on my team anyday,
  6. Dan Patrick show says that KW is incredibly interested in Griffey, and a deal may go down... and hawk, he would play centerfield... i hate to be the one to start this thread, but I just heard this seconds ago...
  7. snore. maybe the cubs had a few more stories because they made a trade yesterday, they have injured players who are on the road to recovery, and people like to b**** and moan? give me one story about a white sox winner, and 5 about a cubs loser, and im happy... get over it.
  8. note to anyone in a fantasy league... pick up Jason Botts right the f*** now.
  9. http://img325.imageshack.us/img325/3892/fa...dings0bu.md.jpg I am truly dominating this year, here is a screen shot of the league I am in (a keeper league, first year) Obviously, I am "Stretch!" and each category is worth 14 pts. well, that didnt show up very well. regardless, i lead 11 of a possible 16 categories.
  10. well, i have a feeling ozzie is going to pull a joe torre and take a bunch of white sox this year anyway. however, i have voted a few times...

    Dog question

as much as you will hear about gender and dogs... these are no deciding factors. you can have an aggresive male or female just the same. go for the dog that is the sweetest, i say.
  12. damn. that s*** was pretty funny.
  13. I love it. Keep up the good work guys.
  14. A year ago, I never thought i would say this, but trade Fields... Crede needs to be a lifer.
  15. QUOTE(SouthSidePride05 @ May 24, 2006 -> 08:52 AM) It could be. The rest of the season could easily be sellouts. We've had 5 consecutive sellouts, tonight is a sellout, and the next homestand begins with a weekend series (should sell out), then Detroit comes to town, and then summer is in full effect. yeah, those sellouts couldnt have anything to do with the fact that we had a series against the Cubs and then the next two games included the return of Frank Thomas. Nice thought, though.
  16. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ May 23, 2006 -> 12:11 AM) Wrong, he did say Zambrano was the best pitcher the sox have faced so far this season. I am sure he said that, which is why I was really surprised. nope. he said he had the best stuff out of anyone they had seen, and his slider was just sick. having the best stuff and being the best pitcher are two different things.
  17. run you bastard squirrel! they'll fine you $1,000!
  18. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) did they cheer him after the home run? um, no.
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) I like this by Ozzie a lot. A lot. agreed. btw, i think frank gets booed next at bat! he got his classy reception, now its payback for putting one on the board.
