Alex Cintron, whom I was incredibly happy we acquired in the first place, seems to be fighting his way into a starting role with the Sox. Is this for real, or have the matchups been working favorably for him, or is Uribe not 100%? Over the last three games, Cintron has hit .462 (6-13) with only one K, and we all know about the triples. ----just some thoughts, because I sure don't cringe when Cintron, the backup, is out there like I did when Willie Harris/Pablo Ozuna* were playing. I liked Alex in AZ, and think he is in the best playing shape of his entire career. *I love Ozuna like the rest, but when he is forced to play many games in a row, his flaws are revealed.

This kind of goes against the whole White Sox style of "who gives a f*** about how things should be done?" eh, he's getting fined because he encouraged FANS to come out on the FIELD.
-
Hmm, let's see, we obviously haven't played anywhere NEAR close to our best ball yet. However, we are currently tied for 1st in the division. Our pitching has not been as good as we all know it will be, and Scott Podsednik barely has been on base! The pitching will come around, the hitting is here, and Pods was 2-2 today and stole a base! This summer is going to rule!

QUOTE(SoxPride56 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 10:36 AM) Funny you should ask, I was at the gaem yesterday and I went over to Section 153 to see the same exact thing. In 153 it stars with bb, cc, 1. So I am willing to bet that in section 152 the rows go AA, BB, CC, 1, 2, etc. because of the angle of the seating. that sucks. why not just call it row 4 then??
-
Has anyone noticed that throughout the league there seem to be about maybe 5 batters actually struggling? This has been an incredibly offense-minded season thus far.
-
What's up guys? Quick question, I have tickets to tomorrow's game (1/2 $ Monday) for section 152 (left field line) row 1 does this mean I am first row? Or do the seats go A-Z and then start with numbers? I know in the upper deck (where I normally sit) its just numbered, but some douche told me row 1 was actually not row 1 in the lower bowl. Thanks.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 09:49 PM) It is still to early this season, but I'll admit hearing C-Lee rob a home run with his defense and then hitting a game winner today, has me wondering who did better in the trade. We won the f***ing World Series partly because of Scott Podsednik! Without Pods last year, we don't win it... So I'd say we did a little better, regardless of what El Caballo does from here on out.

QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 07:51 PM) Maybe this is the true pods...maybe he was playing over his head last year... No. For the first half last year, Podsednik was what he is when healthy... an incredible lead off hitter. He slugged .344, singles, singles, singles, and walks, walks, walks. He was healthy, got in every pitchers head when he was on the base paths. Speed doesn't go into slumps, but injuries hinders speed. I say put him on the DL, lead off with Mackowiak for the time being. The thing is, these groin injuries need rest. If it isn't his groin, send him down and let him get some at-bats. If Frank Thomas can go to AAA for some at-bats, so can Scott Podsednik. We can weather that storm.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 02:08 PM) ^^^^^ We need some kind of an area to do something like Mac, Jurko, and Harry's Critic's at Extra Large where we can judge posters, the sameway that they judge the job the media does... OK Nostradomous, Garland is fine. If his ERA is under 4.00 this year, I will be surprised.
-
Garland is looking more like the Judy than the Jon variaty. He barely survived the 5th inning giving up 7 runs through five. This is the second game in a row that we have supplied him with a HUGE lead to begin the game and he has made it close. He is afraid to go inside, and just throwing a slopping 88 MPH fastball over the heart of the plate everytime he is behind the count. His sinker is not working for him, and he has just been awful. I sure hope he turns it around, but we've all seen this Jon before (2001-2004). Hopefully, this is the aberration and not his 2005 season.

QUOTE(brijames @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 02:48 PM) Besides the fact you haven't a clue or a life you might want to remember this team is about character. They have a lot of it. It's not really surprising they started with a bit of a hangover yet from all the celebrating. They need a little time to close the book on last year. This first week wake up call did just the trick. This Central Division race is gonna be a real dogfight. These White Sox players have a lot of pride. They were kicked in the teeth here this first week of play. They will not roll over. They just need to stay close to the red hot Tribe here early. Don't let them get too far away. Repeating is gonna be harder than hell but if any group can give it a great shot it will be this group of White Sox. this is a pointless post. anyone who actually freaked about a 1-4 start needs to get off the bandwagon...

I actually noticed it in time this round...

Hey guys, I remember a while back someone posted a link to a page at whitesox.com that had a list of the entire roster and what music they come out to before each at-bat. I am wondering if anyone still has this link, or knows of a better way to find it. I just purchased Major League Baseball 2k6 for the XBOX, and one of the coolest features in the game is the ability to change stadium music for the players and the stadium itself. So yes, I did create a little mix of the Pirates of the Caribbean theme and Thunderstruck for the pregame festivities, and I have "Harvester of Sorrow" for Paulie and a couple of others... but obviously I want to complete it. Thanks for you help. The best is after a Grand Slam is hit by a White Sox player, because "Don't Stop Believin'" blasts through the stadium. Corny, yet awesome.
