  1. QUOTE(farmteam @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 10:23 PM) It aint over til its over. it be over.
  2. I can't take this s***. We ALL new that this team would find some way to truly truly f*** itself... and it has in the way of not even making the playoffs. The Indians are the much better team; we were just lucky they started off cold. It was nice to dream of a long post season run... but then we wouldn't be White Sox fans and they wouldn't be the White Sox. I see another 20+ years ahead of us before a World Series. Kenny couldn't make a deal, and that killed us. Cleveland is an awesome team, and they seem to know what they are doing. When was the last time we had someone come up through our system and dominate?
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 07:45 AM) It hasn't at all. I have a new house, and a baby on the way, and baseball is never going to stress me out. I have much more important things to worry about than a game. congrats on the house and the baby southsider
  4. what's the point? if we do manage to hold off the Indians (doubtful) We will be 1 and done in the playoffs just like 2000.
  5. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 09:08 AM) I did hear that WGN or Comcast is trying to get a waiver from MLB/Fox so they can air the game on tv...we shall see I'd rather not have the opportunity to waste my Saturday watching El Duque give up moon shots.
  6. That was the worst game of a once bright season that has gone bad.
  7. Nice to see him avoid the record for most SB's in a season without a triple. UNFORTUNATELY, the next three hitters could not freaking get him in.
  8. QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 10:22 PM) :headshake :puke God help us if Mike North is the color man. i f***ing hate mike north
  9. Crede. Ozuna is a bench player/spot starter, and Crede's defense will be big in the playoffs where every run is huge. Blum was picked up by KW as Crede insurance. When Crede is back, send him to the bench... PLEASE!
  10. dude, that comment by DJ was priceless... PS URIBE IS ON FIRE!!!
  11. go get em sox... just because they are the royals, dont let down for a second! let's get a sweep out of this series!
  12. much better... more colorful does not always mean baby blue... maybe play with bright reds/greens... that baby blue was rough. this reworked buehlre looks very classer, however... top notch as always.
  13. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 09:44 AM) If he gets 12 million next year....he's getting 9 this year! We're talking a 3 million/year raise for a guy who has proven at 29 to be an organizational cornerstone. We had a huge year at the gate and can afford a bump like this. I say re-sign him. If he was 32 I'd cut him loose but he's just 29. I agree completely.
  14. here's the way to look at it. At the beginning of the year, when Paulie was hitting something around .240, I was all about getting rid of him. However, he has finally hit that hot stretch. This man is a team leader. As much as we get tired of him talking, I belive his teammates truly depend on that. Over the course of the last two weeks, while Paulie has been on fire, he has gone about his business quietly. It seems like he scores 2 runs a game, jogging in from first with batting gloves in hand. If Konerko is not worth 10 million dollars a year, I don't know who is going to be. He is dominant defensively, and definitely able to carry the load. If you are looking for someone to hit .315, 35, 120, you're not going to get him for 10-12 like you will Konerko; that person would garner approximately 15 million dollars a year. We know Sox management is sold on this, "no one player to tie down the franchise policy," which I totally agree with. IF we spend 10-12 on a player, its going to be Konerko. We're not getting Furcal, because the bidding war for him is going to be huge. Not only that, but until this year, Furcal has been a huge dissapointment, and he still strikes out way to much for a guy at the top of the order, and his career BA (.283) does not really garner that much cash for a speed guy with little pop. He is batting .279 this year, batted .279 the year before, and chances are, will hit .280 again next year.
  15. Uribe could definitely carry this team.
  16. the best part about jerry rice was that he is nothing like TO and Moss... he's a class individual. best ever
  17. i dont care how many times its posted... i still dont know what the f*** it says. all i know is i think that JD is about to get f***ed up by guardado, whos fatass has been reborn on the twinx
  18. its so nice to have some breathing room again (if 6.5 games isn't) I am proud of the series against Detroit, and would like to thank Minnesota for taking care of the Tribe. White Sox, yes.
  19. this could be the 3rd time garland shuts out the tigers this year... SHEER DOMINANCE!
