  1. QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) But no one has the power that PK has, no free agent, and not trading without giving up the farm. this team really doesnt need that power... ill take a 2 run single in the 9th inning as opposed to a 1 run homer in the 2nd.
  2. QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:36 PM) Yea cause look...Gload is so f***ing good who said gload would have to be the first baseman... a lot of guys out there can hit over .260 and not popup everytime there are runners in scoring positiong that DONT COST 10+ MILLION f***ING DOLLARS please, for christ's sake, look at his future salary before praying to have konerko on this team.
  3. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:34 PM) If that's what you think ... say so while the reliver is warming up. After that fact ain't worth a s***. believe it or not, every thought that enters my melon does not get tranfered to this message board. many things do, but not all of them.
  4. QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:32 PM) I'm not a fan of Gload...I'm all for PK and resiging him because he is our best option at 1B. Gload has done nothing in his career and everyone on this board hypes him up to be an all-star. If he's that great, trade him, but he's not that good at all, career minor leaguer IMO. resigning paul konerko would be the stupidest f***ing thing this team could ever do.
  5. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) That s*** ain't worth a damn after the fact. Call it before s*** hits the fan, or don't call it at all. um, i think a lot of people though jon was doing just fine and could have stayed in. myself being one of them. just bc it wasnt typed for the masses to see doesnt mean thats not what was though.
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) Mike Sweeney is an awesome guy! I met him in spring training last year...seriously don't hate him for long...I always liked him as a player. This series is so pitiful. I just sit here and think what the real KC Royals team would look like if they spent the cheese on players...? dye, beltran, and damon would all make things happen. they havent really produced many pitchers... paul byrd comes to mind.
  7. if we lose this game it could start a tail spin that will end with a shotgun in my mouth.
  8. i just noticed on gameday that everett only had 1 AB, did he get hurt?
  9. whats going on!! what the f***!! gameday f***s up and this whole game goes to hell!
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:18 PM) Gameday's f'd up. Update, please? i thought so, unless neal cotts took four decades to throw his 3rd pitch
  11. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) Two interesting bits of info from the ESPN crew. First, Buehrle and Garland have a bet going on who allows the fewest unintentional walks this season. They are currently tied at 26. I love this!!!! Second, if Garland gets this win, he will be one of 4 pitchers to get 16 wins in his first 20 starts of a season. The others ... Luis Tiant, Vida Blue, Bob Gibson. Not bad company. Bob Gibson was s***ty
  12. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:11 PM) I'm not sure I understand where this comment came from. a previous days' discussion where people though jenks should take over as closer for this team
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) Dye is a beast lately, I dont know why everyone is thinking of just throwing an aquired bat in his place in RF. yeah, dye = best power presence on our team. btw your avatar is the s***.
  14. now, everyone who wanted jenks to close a game can see that in no way will happen...
  15. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:07 PM) If you have a problem with that, you have a problem with official scoring. That is the way the rules are written. i have a problem with life, then, dammit.
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) It depends on what happens afterwards. You can't assume the guy was going to be out, so if the guy after him hits a HR, the run is earned because he would have scored anyway. you cant assume the guy afterwards wouldnt stike out...
  17. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 02:48 PM) After seeing how he plays us, every time I see his stats at the end of the year I'm amazed he isn't batting .375 with 60 HR's and 180 RBI's. .402 86 HR 235 RBI would be a typical season if he played us 162 games
  18. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) Yeah, how can you charge 3 errors but no unearned runs? exactly... the commissioner should have a look at that one.
  19. when i saw buehrle was charged with 7, i couldn't help but laugh. obviously, that was an attempt to drive his ERA up, bc there were so many errors! Uribe's throw home should have been an out... the inside the park grand slam (i guess thats what you have to call it since they were all earned). Just complete bulls***!
  20. QUOTE(ceffa2000 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 02:22 PM) I can feel a little breakout coming. (Is that contradictory?) ceffa, let me buy you a beer. nice hr by dye... 20 now!
  21. through five innings and only 2 hits against Runelvyz Hernandez... KW, deliver us a bat.
