  1. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) Look up "Head Case" in the dictionary, and there's a picture of Jose Contreras. Awesome job tonight though. He just has to trust his s***.
  2. Soxfan1, I've realized the perfect sig size is 475x150 pixels.
  3. Thank God that was foul. Jose Contreras. I love you.
  4. Soxfan1, that's an awesome sig.
  5. I'm starting to get the hang of this.
  6. i just can't stop... hey deploder, which filter adds the pretty horizontal lines in the background? That looks sewwweeet.
  7. Did everyone notice I added a little Sox emblem to Belfour's helmet? GOOCH STOLEN BASE!
  8. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 03:28 PM) Chacin's a young LH starter for the Jays. If they want a lot for Lilly, I can't imagine them wanting much less for Chacin. I guess I just don't follow. I think he meant Shawn Chacon, from the Rockies. We aren't getting Chacin.
  9. QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 02:31 PM) Steve, I disagree. I loved the ties and I think shootouts destroy hockey. Like it's been said before, baseball games arent decided with HR derbies and basketball games dont end with dunk contests. If they cant decide a winner after regulation and an OT, then it's a tie. Also, the core of the Hawks isn't as bad as you say. Ruutu, Arnie, Bell, Calder, Berard, Vandermeer, McCarthy, Robidas, Barnaby, a HEALTHY Daze, all can contribute to a good team. The goaltending situation is excellent, Thibault is above average but I'm excited for the back up battle between my summer instructor Craig Anderson and Mike Leighton/ Corey Crawford. The stoppers we have waiting in the wings exite me. Also, Rene Bourque, Anton Babchuk, Duncan Keith, all can make an impact in the NHL next year. Don't s*** on the Hawks chances yet. like I said, I like Ruutu, Arnie, Bell, and Calder, and even Berard, but the rest of those guys are questionable. Yes, in the two months we had him Vandermeer was decent, but there's a reason Philly dealt him. Steve McCarthy has yet to prove anything other than the fact that he is soft. I don't like Stephan Robidas on this team, and Matt Barnaby has yet to play a game for the Hawks, and is on the downside of his career. I love how you say a HEALTHY Daze. When was the last time he played an entire season? His rookie year? His back is too messed up, and the Hawks would be better off trading him than keeping him. He's not a legitimate scorer because he's not a playmaker. He needs someone to feed him the puck in the open so he can unleash his awesome shot. The goaltending is sexcellent, I have no problem there. I like Rene Bourque, but don't think he is going to contribute anytime soon, and babchuk and keith are still a ways away. The hawks might contend, but not this year.
  10. QUOTE(Jimenez4MVP @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 10:30 AM) No more ties?? Man this sucks I hope you meant for that to be green.
  11. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 07:46 PM) Steve....thats Thibault in your Avy correct???? No sir, Eddie the Eagle. I love Joc, but he'll have to have about 5 incredible seasons before he can live up to the Eagle.
  12. sorry, but they might... MIGHT make the playoffs, but their core is pathetic... aside from ruutu, arnason (who will be gone, i hear) bell, and calder, their team is crap. All of their youngsters keep getting worse (yakubov, vorobiev, etc) They don't have a solid core like the bad teams such as the wild (gaborik) and predators (they have sully!) wow, either way, its going to be weird seeing where some of these players end up.
  13. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 02:10 PM) i honestly don't care about mags. the sox made the right move by letting him go, who cares what he said about us? we're in 1st without him. EX-f***ing-ACTLY
  14. No pitcher will bean Maggs, and they shouldn't. I, for one, will be welcoming him back, but happy when he goes 0-4.
  15. He is arbitration eligible... we still have to give him more money.
  16. since the other thread was locked, and a decent conversation was beginning. Paul Konerko will walk... There is no doubt there will be interest, and good for him when LA signs him to a 12.5 million dollar/year deal. I'll just be glad that's not us. As for Garland, I think he will make around 8, and I hope we can sign him for 4-5 years. He has finally turned the corner, I would hate to see another team enjoy the fruits of our labor.
  17. Kwame sucks and is a bust. I don't know why anyone would want him.
  18. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) McCArthy is not helping his value right now From what I hear and read execs around the league are still enamored with him, so why not get rid of him while you still can?
  19. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) If he does go to Toronto, they'll have to part with Chacin. KW may have to up the ante if he really wants him. I may be one of the few here, but I say deal McCarthy and don't look back. If he turns into a decent starter, good for him, but this Burnett deal can be one for now and for the future.
  20. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 01:23 PM) Holy cow. Adding what, $30 million in payroll? That'd be nice. Why would you ever, ever, change your name from MoreCowbell? That's classic!
  21. Why God? Why Timo Perez?? Anyway, if we see Bob Wickman, game over. I believe the 2nd game of the year was Garcia vs. Millwood.
