  1. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 06:10 PM) Except Parsons is a MUCH better shooter. True shooting % 2014- Parsons .565 - Deng .517 (Melo .561) 2013- Parsons .585 - Deng .508 (Melo .560) Just throwin Melo out there for funsies. Well, yeah, but Deng plays legit defense, and still anyone with a brain hated his contract. You don't win titles by giving Chandler Parsons 12 million a year. What the Bulls are looking at is trying to win titles, finally. A move for Chandler Parsons at $12 million/year would be right in line with what they were happy doing the last decade.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 05:24 PM) I'd do it. That would suck. It'd be like overpaying Luol Deng all over again.
  3. Per usual, Broussard just made it all up. How that bigoted clown still has a job is beyond me. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baske...0,7047449.story
  4. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jul 4, 2014 -> 01:14 PM) LOL. Now report saying, Rose didn't help recruit Anthony. WHY WHY WHY. Everyone on the planet knew Melo was visiting that day, and Rose walked into a building with Melo on it. He knew why he was there. f*** Broussard and his lies.
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 3, 2014 -> 11:49 AM) LA is a place I would not sleep on (if Jerry Buss were there, I'd have given the Bulls zero shot but thankfully Jim Buss is a buffoon). I don't think they will be a contender but Melo and Kobe are good friends and the organization has a crapton of banners to hoast and a hollywood marketplace for LaLa. But as a whole I agree with you. Glad you are back just in time to celebrate Melo coming to the Bulls!!! I was proud about what Pax / Gar and more importantly Thibbs and Noah put together. I still wouldn't be surprised if the Bulls quietly put out feelers to Lebron's agent. I don't know how you couldn't at least ask. If Melo wants a s***ty basketball situation, he can stay in New York.
  6. If there's one thing everyone needs to do - it's take a deep breath and stop believing everything you read. The absolute facts we have are that the Chicago Bulls had, by far, the best-planned, best looking recruitment greeting to Melo of any of these teams. The banners on the side of the UC were gorgeous. You know LA isn't going to adorn their building with Melo when the Black Mamba's coming today. So that'll be interesting. Of all the players in the NBA, Joakim Noah is trying the hardest in recruiting. Hell, he posted a Carmelo Anthony baby picture to his Instagram today. He's hilarious. In the end, if I were betting my house on it, I'd say Melo stays in New York. I'm proud of the effort the Bulls are putting forth, which started with Scottie and Larsa Pippen wooing Melo in France last week, and has continued throughoutt his entire week. You can bet your ass the Bulls find a way to meet up with Melo today while in LA. I'm certain the Bulls are trying to improve, for once, by making bold moves. I am very pleased by this. If they don't get Melo, I'm quite certain they'll call Minnesota with an offer of Boozer's contract and a whole lot of goodies to get Kevin Love in here. I don't want that to happen, because Carmelo is a much better fit with this roster, but we'll see. I look forward to it being two weeks from now.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 04:39 PM) Bowman: Kane/Toews extension #1 off season priority. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nhl/story/_/id/...season-priority #wellduh
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 03:20 PM) Agreed. I am much happier to see 22k in the house every night versus when the team was on the verge of extinction in terms of their relevance in the Chicago market like it was 7/8 years ago. They had the worst owner in sports.
  9. I do want to give some props. There are definitely some newer Hawks fans (say since 09) who have stepped up and truly made hockey a sport they care about (Gerry - SoxAce definitely being at the top of this list). But the folks who sound like Cubs fans in this thread are just brutal.
  10. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 01:09 AM) First of all, that's not 2 Kings goals. It's the same Carter goal in both. That photo shows absolutely nothing. So his stick was above the cross bar at some point. So what. Can't see the puck contact there. The replays they showed, which we all saw, showed that it wasn't a high stick. The puck was contacted at or below the bar. At worst, the puck was contacted level with the cross bar. Do you know a board we can go to where people who've liked the sport longer than 4 years and tune in beyond the playoffs go? I can't stand it in this thread any longer.
  11. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 12:04 AM) I'm expecting to find out that Seabrook is 5 months pregnant. You contribute nothing of value to this thread.
  12. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 2, 2014 -> 07:58 PM) Guaranteed it's Hossa . He has way too much talent to be invisible like he was. He was getting boatloads of shots, they just weren't going in - sometimes hockey's a b****. In a seven-game series, sometimes luck's not on your side.
  13. QUOTE (lord chas @ Jun 1, 2014 -> 10:17 PM) All that silly dynasty talk can stop now Interesting. Here I thought Toes and Kane were in their mid-20s with 2 championships under their belts.
  14. Hawks dominated that period. 20 minutes. Limit chances.
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 30, 2014 -> 11:19 PM) f***ing hope so. I'll be doing laundry. That seemed to work. What the f***. You did laundry during this game? Thread banned.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 26, 2014 -> 10:39 PM) Familiar territory. Down 3-1 in a series. Alright then. The Kings have lost 3 in a row twice this postseason. Let's make it three times. I called it last year against the Redwings. #iamtheblackhawks
  17. What a f***ing blast this team is. They'll f***ing crush game 7.
  18. However this one ends, this is one of the best games I have ever watched in my life.

    QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 28, 2014 -> 03:56 PM) Lack of Challenge talk in here has me very disappointed in some of you. It hasn't been as fun this year. Also, old one-hand is an idiot for flipping all the cards.
