QUOTE (bmags @ May 14, 2014 -> 10:45 AM) I kind of feel like this, if losing Thibs is inevitable, then I'd rather we trade him and get something. I'll take a lottery pick for Thibs. Bring it on.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 14, 2014 -> 09:17 AM) I thought the story was that Pop would leave when Duncan retires? Oh, completely missed that. /Spurs

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 14, 2014 -> 08:56 AM) I spent 30 min arguing with a client when he told me the reason the series was so close is because the teams play the exact same style of hockey. That client's a f***ing idiot. They could not play more different styles of hockey.

QUOTE (Brian @ May 13, 2014 -> 05:34 PM) Neighbors was hilarious. Not just a vulgar comedy but good characters. Agreed. It rocked.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 13, 2014 -> 10:30 PM) The circumstances were the same last year, the sox sucked and the Bulls had a longer run, and they still didn't lose to WMVP That's a valid point.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 14, 2014 -> 01:34 AM) I see with Van Gundy deal the NBA is starting to pay huge bucks to coaches again. 7 mill a year. Hmmm. Hey I have a question. There's talk in this college town that Bill Self will inevitably leave for the NBA, likely to coach the Thunder or Spurs. From afar, do you think a.) any team would love to have Self for 6-7 mill a year (he makes 5 here) and b.) do you think he's a good NBA coaching prospect. Or c.) do you think he's just another blah coach who won one national title and will fail in the NBA? Just wondering what you all think of Bill Self and NBA. For instance if the Bulls hired him if Thibs left would you be happy or furious? I think the Spurs are happy with their coach.

QUOTE (danman31 @ May 13, 2014 -> 11:25 PM) Oh my does this game look great. I love some of the side games they've got.

If I still gave a s***, today Flapship would have some article about when it actually makes sense to chant the opposing goaltenders' names. When they are dominating the f*** out of your team is not the time to chant their names. You'd think fans in Minnesota would be less dumb. Then again, they do live in Minnesota, which is dumb. Bring on the next round and an opponent against which we can play real hockey, not this bulls*** slappy trappy garbage hockey.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 13, 2014 -> 11:20 PM) LOL. That's all. This. Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are so f***ing good. Thanks, DT!

Shocking. Not even a penalty. Yet a penalty.

Crawford is stealing this one. We are about to see a Hawks goal, I feel it. Classic "team missed too many chances" situation.
-
Crawford has made some great stops tonight. How about a PP for the Hawks?!?

Or we can look into the reality of those ratings which includes a ton of White Sox day games on 670 and Bulls late afternoon playoff games on 1000. While WSCR-AM still wins the ratings battle in their target demo overall against their rival, WMVP-AM won the ratings in both mornings and afternoons for the first time in well over a year. Part of the reason for WMVP-AM's increased afternoon ratings (and increased ratings overall) has to do with strong interest in the Chicago Bulls' short-lived playoff run, as well as picking up listeners from WSCR-AM, who seem to have low interest in Chicago White Sox afternoon game broadcasts. (WMVP-AM is the Bulls' flagship radio home, while WSCR-AM is the White Sox's flagship radio home.)

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 4, 2014 -> 10:50 PM) The Jason Todd return storyline was awesome. :-D

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 12, 2014 -> 11:05 PM) Hawks are looking good up 3 games to two. Can Hawks wrap it up on their ice or do they have to do it at home? LOL QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 13, 2014 -> 07:27 AM) Tune in to CNBC tonight at 8 PM CT to find out! and bigger LOL. Also, Google.

Ben Smith might have the worst, most awkward hands in the NHL.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 11, 2014 -> 01:22 PM) Lines at practice: Bickell - Toews - Versteeg Saad - Kruger - Kane Sharp - Handzus - Hossa Nordstrom - Regin - Smith What. The. f***. What the f***ing f*** is this s***. It's castration on purpose.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 9, 2014 -> 02:47 PM) By all accounts, Melo wants to play for Thibs. So, if you move Thibs, then you lose your chance at that star. If that doesnt bother you, then by all means, let him go. But lets be honest, this front office has done itself no favors in the ways they have handled management. Ron Adams being let go, the contentious nature with Thibs, choking VDN, Skiles leaving, Cartwright firing. It has been really ugly. So, if it blows up with one of the highly regarded coaches in the league, then you are risking nobody wanting to come coach this team, which will also lead to not many players wanting to play in Chicago(which is already a problem). This team isnt the Lakers. They cant afford to consistently put their worst foot forward and hope for the best. LOL, like the Bulls would actually get Melo.
-
They're getting stomped. No doubt about it.

Dammit, Sharp. Lift the puck.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 9, 2014 -> 11:12 AM) But the coach and GM are largely responsible for the success of the team and franchise. Dale Tallon drafted Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Duncan Keith, among others. He is neither the current coach nor the current GM. Those are, easily, the three best players on the team and three of the best players on the planet.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 9, 2014 -> 07:50 AM) Come on man. The team performs in spite of one of the best coaches ever? Wow. This post happened.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 8, 2014 -> 09:11 AM) I'm not a fan of the jerseys that have sayings or things like that on the back. The only exception was back in the old Chicago Stadium, I remember seeing a guy in the section over every game that had a WIRTZ jersey and the number was a $. Plus, I think Joe Murphy takes offense to it. Other amazing 17's (posting this for Steve so he can throw up this morning): J.P. Dumont Michal Grosek Wendel Clark Reto Von Arx Mike Peluso Chris Simon What an epic list I adored JP Dumont thanks to a hat trick he scored as a rookie. I remain livid that he was added a deal simply to dump Doug Gilmour months after signing him.

Any time you want to make a stop, Crawford...

Eh, I think this season of Mad Men so far has been spectacular.
