QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 8, 2014 -> 10:09 AM) Facebook really exploded because of college students latching onto it as a better way of sharing their experiences than MySpace. I can't really recall what features Facebook had that MySpace did not, but that organic growth took place on college campuses and spread like wildfire. If you really want a social networking product to reach a community, you've got to convince those in the best position to utilize it that it's the best product out there. I think Google+ is just trying to supplant something that has too strong roots at this point. Facebook had exclusivity and a complete lack of advertising, which made it cool.

Has anyone noticed how little effort always goes into the back of a video game package? There's rarely any design element, just a couple screen shots and some words. It's funny how lame they look.

Alright. I tossed Kilzone on eBay and picked up Tomb Raider Definitive Edition. I'm excited to play that tonight. The original Tomb Raider was one of the best video game experiences I ever had. I played it on my Sega Saturn, and I still remember the first time a wolf attacked me it freaked me the f*** out (I was 13). The T-Rex in the coming levels was wicked, too. Then a buddy and I got really into some of the sequels. So yeah, hopefully this game stacks up with puzzles and fright.

Wow, you guys are still going at it, eh?

I will shart myself.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 04:43 PM) Trust the photos coming directly from athletes' phone cameras, there's a lot of fakes floating around already http://paleofuture.gizmodo.com/8-viral-soc...lies-1517429839 Yeah, none of those fakes were included in the buzzfeed I posted (just an fyi).

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 02:11 PM) I don't know how he wasn't first. Because, as we've been discussing the past couple of days (and you apparently ignore??) - that roster is hot garbage. Even Thibs couldn't get a .500 team out of it.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 01:24 PM) Hockey games, at least the US ones, are all airing live. A lot of other things, including most of the curling, is not. I would say that spoiler tags are not necessary once an event is airing or has aired. If you are DVRing something and want to watch it later, then read at your own risk. Hey, f*** that. I'm not watching the game at like 3am, but I'll be DVRing every one of them. Until they cover an event on NBC's prime time coverage, it should require a spoiler. If not, I'll see this thread in 2.5 weeks.

F*cking people. There's a petition flying around the interwebs to "stop Sochi from exterminating dogs". There are so so so many stupid people on this planet. They're one step short of exterminating homosexual humans, but yeah, a petition from some random US website is going to stop the "extermination" of stray dogs. Meanwhile, the good old US of A euthanizes 3 million animals a year - where's the petition for that? F*ck dumb people.

I'm really enjoying this season of Shameless.

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 09:25 AM) They should. And in the East, having Luol Deng as your second best player doesn't mean you are a bad team. Contrary to Bulls fans opinions of every single player on their team, Luol is actually good! Luol's alright. He puts up stats because he plays an obscene amount of minutes. He went 1-10 last night, so it's not like he's not part of the problem over there right now.

QUOTE (Knuckles @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 07:52 AM) Kyrie is a team cancer. Green? Let's be honest, his best teammate is probably Luol freakin' Deng right now. That team is built like s***.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 5, 2014 -> 06:46 PM) So why is the Olympics beginning tomorrow, anyways? Doesn't it traditionally begin on a Sunday? The Opening Ceremonies have been on Fridays for quite awhile as far as I can recall.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 5, 2014 -> 07:35 PM) The Cavs are so awful. If they get a top 5 pick they should deal Irving for a GOAT package. If you're another team in the top 5 - what do you add to the pick to get Kyrie? Do you add to the pick? The dude's f***ing awesome on one side of the floor and a complete turd on the other. Also, I love how people thought we'd get that Kings pick this year.

Ok, time to start considering a change of venue.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 4, 2014 -> 08:55 PM) They've been pretty damn good lately without Bledsoe. Goran Dragic has been a freak and quite possibly the best healthy point guard standing in the NBA.

Guys, can we just keep making fun of yellow water and semen in this thread and not go all filibuster on it!?
