2017-18 official NBA discussion thread

https://clutchpoints.com/luke-kennard-zach-...angelo-russell/ The Lakers are offering D'Angelo Russell for a first rounder. PLEASE tell me the Bulls are smart enough to offer 16 and then get a haul for Jimmy. -

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 19, 2017 -> 04:25 PM) I highly doubt GarPax has the balls to pull this off regardless if it's the absolute smart move to rebuild this thing. Exactly. The Bulls won't deal Jimmy until every ounce of his value is gone. -
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 02:10 PM) Good thing we got LUIS Robert before that door started closing again...and, on the bright side, still hasn't undone the Iran agreement yet, although he's been jawing about how terrible it is for ages. That's next. F*ck that guy. I cannot believe a bunch of racists and those with no empathy elected him.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 12:46 PM) I have no trust in that nut for his tapes to be legit. He could edit those just as easily as NBC could edit an interview And "It probably did happen"? Probably? F that dude. And I would have more respect for her if she promised softball questions, then went at him. He doesn't deserve anyone's respect IMO. Captain Obvious here with the obvious remark. Obviously, I agree!

There goes Cuba for no reason.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 08:53 AM) I just can't get excited about anything Nintendo. I think the system that had the best games on it was the GameCube personally. Have many great memories with friends playing that system. Well I mean Super Nintendo and N64.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 09:53 AM) That seems random that someone from Belleville would try and take out a congressman from Louisiana. Has to just be an angry nut job. I assume we won't be banning white Christians from Illinois from flying around, eh? -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 07:36 AM) I'm going to speculate this can traced back to the health care debate... Reuters.com My thoughts as well, but hard to know at this point. It's going to be an interesting day. -

Gunman is middle-aged, white man, heavy set based on eye-witness accounts. Thank goodness for that. -

"THEY ARE NONE" This is dirty. Sessions getting pissed.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 02:50 PM) Seems like nowadays no mans land is increasingly bigger. Basically every playoff team that is not GS or Cleveland is wasting their time. That's really the issue. There's absolutely nothing to surprise anymore. At least last year, even with the Warriors going 73-9, you felt like a suped up Cavs team could compete (and they did in 7). This year there was no chance.
-
QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 01:59 PM) There is very little to no comparison to how the heat team was put together and absolutely zero precedent to kd to the warriors, which, again, can be based largely on what lebron set in motion. He orchestrated it, and now, even worse, essentially runs the cavs as the gm/coach/president/vp/etc. And you literally named TWO teams in an era that were actually COMPETING. This year's Finals was a joke and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. It's embarrassing and boring to watch. Yeah, I can't disagree with you.

He's hedging everything. This is a waste of time.

QUOTE (KagakuOtoko @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 12:12 PM) I used these, someone told me they are not reliable though. What's your opinion? I know you're a higher up at your company or something along those lines. I'm a Vice President. Glassdoor is self-reported data. Salary.com is reliable if you have the paid experience and can drill down to specific locations. There really aren't better tools to use.

QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 12:18 PM) "The decision" led more directly to the kd move. It can be said that lebron is a big cause for the demise of a competitive NBA with this superteam bulls***. This was the most noncompetitive Finals ever And kd is cementing his legacy as a little b**** Eh. The Lakers and Celtics of the 80s. The Bulls of the 90s. The Big 3 Celtics of the 2000s. LeBron is not to blame. There have been 11 different NBA Champions over the last 38 years. Better yet, 8 teams have won 35 of the last 38. This is the NBA.

QUOTE (KagakuOtoko @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 11:45 AM) What are good reference sites that can help you identify if a salary is fair or not? Glassdoor.com Salary.com

QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 01:43 AM) Now for some good video... I didn't find any highlight reels on Youtube, but I went through Missouri St. game highlights and copied the URL at the times when there is a #BurgerBomb. (Absolute monster shot out of the entire complex, over the scoreboard. 450+) (Wall scraper, but still a grand slam) (I think it landed in a cemetery) And hey look, good defense too! (Nice back pick on a tough hop) (Showing surprisingly quick hands/transfer on chopper) Thank you.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 10:08 AM) Apparently neither of you two have negotiated much in your life. SNARK
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 10:33 AM) Yeah, I'll be honest, I do. I can appreciate watching someone like Kyrie, dominating more with skill and heart and effort than someone who is able to dominate partially as a result of sheer size. And J4L, you spend half your life trying to discredit a guy for which you named yourself on this message board. Talk about rent f***ing free. Pot meet kettle with regards to snarkiness. Not only is LeBron just a monster physically, but he also works his ass off for it. There have been plenty of 6'9" guys out there who aren't build like he is. He's also the on court coach and one of the most gifted passers of all-time. He's developed an insane post game. He's continuing to improve at the age of 32 with tons of NBA miles. He's f***ing awesome. He's a hard working monster. He's a model citizen. He's hilarious. He's honest. Everyone needs to get over the decision already!
-
Can we all just agree that LeBron is, with very little doubt, at least the 2nd greatest player of all-time. Let's stop criticizing every little thing and just enjoy the greatness.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 10:09 AM) Well that belies about 30k of your posts here.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 09:47 AM) Steve, you can read what you want to read, and ignore and what you want to ignore, but it wasn't just me saying this. Van Gundy and Jackson mentioned it 3-4 times last night. And I can live without your snarky comments about the post. It doesn't matter who's saying it, I like to chat using common sense as my guide.
