QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 20, 2017 -> 01:09 PM) There is a difference between a prediction and a conspiracy theory. I think that Donald Trump paid the Indians to lose game 7. Now it all makes sense.

I am just completely mystified. The Kings got their arena and then f***ed the fans. It's ridiculous.
-
The Nuggets got more 1st round picks for Timofey Mozgov than the Kings got for DeMarcus Cousins.

FWIW, Brian Windhorst said on today's The Lowe Post: “I WOULD LEAN NO [TRADE], BUT IT’S GOING TO BE INTERESTING BECAUSE BOSTON – REGARDLESS OF WHAT [bULLS] THINK – BOSTON HAS UPPED THEIR ANTE FOR THEIR POSITIONING ON BUTLER.” – BRIAN WINDHORST

Apparently the Celtics completely blew it on Cousins. They've been ignoring him as they're completely focused on Jimmy. APPARENTLY this means they might be willing to meet the Bulls' demands to save face and make a legitimate run at the Finals. They smell blood in the water with Love hurt and LeBron playing so many minutes. Upgrading Crowder to Butler would be a huge haul for them. GIMME DEM PICKS

I too am shook.

Of course, Boston could've acquired 5 Boogie's at the price from last night. #thingIstolefromzoomtext

Imagine if you'd woken up, and the Bulls' balls had dropped and they'd dealt the following: SAC 1 Bulls 1 2017 Bulls 1 2019 Valentine Portis McDermott for Cousins and whatever That's twice the haul and would be amazing. F*ck GarPax. They took the ASB off.

If you're a Kings fan today, you're not a Kings fan tomorrow. The 76ers rejected the same trade for Jahlil Okafor last week minus Hield. Say what you will about Hield, but he's not the guy that makes up the difference between Cousins and Okafor! This is very similar to when a stud gets moved in a fantasy league. You always have to say "WHY DIDN'T YOU LET THE LEAGUE KNOW X STUD WAS AVAILABLE BEFORE TAKING THAT?!?!" Had the Kings not played coy right up until the deal was done, they could have gotten three times this much. Also, once again, GarPax sleeps. The Bulls could have simply sold off the next 3 tradeable 1st rounders and given the Kings their protected pick back that they're clearly so worried about they dealth DMC.

This is going to be nuts. Oh man, I don't want to be the Kings. If we got that return for Jimmy, I'd be done with the Bulls.

QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 03:47 PM) DeAndre Jordan and Rudy Gobert. Whiteside to some extent, although he has developed a solid mid range jumper over last few years. These are very valuable players in today's league. Noel isn't at their caliber, but he certainly has the upside to grow into one. (Remember the path Whiteside took to get to where he is today) Joakim is not a good comparison to Noel. Noel is a much better finisher inside, he's averaging 18 points per 40 and shooting 61% right now, Joe never came close to those numbers. The players you're describing as extinct are in the mold of Al Jefferson, Nikola Vucevic, Brooke Lopez, Enes Kanter, Okafor etc. Players who play on the low post and can't stretch the floor, could easily be shut down by the quicker and strong players like Lebron or Draymond or the modern day team defense. These players are immobile and are huge liabilities on defense, gets exposed when other team plays small ball. Noel doesn't fit that description. Brook Lopez is not extinct. He is hitting 2 3's per game and just became the first NBA player to record 6 3s and 8 blocks in a game. Not sure how I forgot about Rudy Gobert.

QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 01:36 PM) J4L is right, I don't see how Noel, being the Tyson Chandler/Marcus Camby type player, is extinct in today's NBA. I hope he eventually learns to play next to Embiid, the tandem would be nasty on defense. I'm curious what player under the age of thirty is like this. Andre Drummond? These guys are going extinct if they aren't already. Bigs are now asked to stretch the floor.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 12:37 PM) No, Okafor is. Not Noel. Noel is tailor-made for today's nba under the right coaching and system. Embiid, after sitting out two years, was putting up per 36 stats that rival Wilt. Simmons is a poor man's LeBron. easy. They're top 3 with all healthy. They botched okafor/unicorn, but the point is they were in position to botch it. I just think you're early on it is all. Simmons couldn't lead a team past LeBron this early healthy or not. The upside is there, though. I disagree on Noel. He's got no ability to develop range, so he needs to get a lot bigger if he's going to basically be Andre Drummond.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 11:53 AM) No, wrong. All the guys for philly kept getting hurt. If noel, Embiid and simmons don't get hurt they're already challenging cleveland for the east title. and that's with making a terrible okafor over unicorn pick. the sixers have the right philosophy. just gotta get it right. but that said, i don't trust the bulls to get it right even if they went that route so 7th seeds it is. Pump the breaks, yo. Nerlens Noel is a dinosaur in today's NBA. His kind is extinct. Embiid is awesome, but he's basically DeMarcus Cousins 2.0. Simmons would be a rookie PG this year. Challenging LeBron and Co? Not so much.

I cannot believe this poll exists. I can't wait to see the data that's cherry picked off of it.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 09:29 PM) That's as bad a call as you will ever see. Inexcusable officiating and Butler did zero to deserve that call on that play. Agreed. The "give Butler the ball and hope for the best" end of game strategy doesn't seem to be too great.

QUOTE (kevo880 @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 04:34 PM) We welcomed our daughter into the world in September. It's been quite the experience already. She is on the verge of crawling so soon enough she will be all over the place. I personally can't wait for that, as I think it will be a lot of fun, and everyone I mention that to just laughs at me like I am clueless. Guess we shall see. But I echo those statements, when your kid smiles at the sight of you, that's what it's all about. Forget about any other problems in life. Those people are lazy. Birdie getting mobile relieved her frustration and made her an even happier little person. When they can move, playing becomes even better.

QUOTE (Yoda @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 12:12 PM) On December 22, 2016 my gf and I welcomed into this world a blessing that has changed our lives in a positive way. Since that moment our new role as parents has opened up our eyes to how much beauty there is to life in the small things we take for granted as adults. We read stories about the baby blues, depression, postpartum psychosis, and other emotions parents go through but luckily, so far, it has been a smooth ride. We’re definitely not getting much sleep right now (as the baby is only 1 mo. 3 wks old) but we’ve adjusted to taking naps when we can. Anyone else a new parent or have any stories they would like to share about their experiences with having a newborn at home? I know if we didn’t have the support of our close family and friends we probably wouldn’t have our sanity in place. They have been 110% supportive. Congrats! Keep your eyes on your wife until she's done breastfeeding. It's really quite the mental f*** on their end. Your kid will get more fun every day. Oh, and propose to your girlfriend. She's earned it.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 12:14 PM) You'll want to shoot yourself in the face for the first year. Stick with it, it gets better. For us it was about 6-8 months. But seriously, it becomes the best thing you ever do.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 09:02 AM) Let me know when Giannis develops a jump shot, then you can compare him to KD. Oh, it's already there. He's just not uncorking it yet. At age 22, KD shot 46%. At age 22, Giannis is shooting 53%. At age 22, Giannis is currently 8th in the league in PER (26.71). At age 28, with 3 other all-stars on his roster, KD is 5th in PER at 27.62. An argument can be easily made that Giannis is already playing at the level of KD despite being 6 years younger.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 08:26 AM) So you ignore Jimmy Butler and tell someone else to educate themselves. The Bulls were 45-37 the season Rose played 0 games. It doesn't appear he was all they had. And how many titles has KD won before joining a team I mentioned while still playing with Westbrook and Harden, 2 guys I am sure you would consider ELITE f***ING TALENT? Jimmy Butler is an All-Star. Giannis can be the league's best player. Stop. Just stop digging. It's embarassing for you.
